We arrived to Sight and Sound an hour and 10 minutes early which was crazy to us!! but we did all of our shopping beforehand and knew we wanted to be a minimum of 30 minutes early.... let me say, I am SO HAPPY we went inside an hour before. We got close parking to the building and near the exit. When you enter; we went to the right side of the building. Once we got there, we took a picture in front of the building. Inside, we weren't rushed to go to the bathroom & get some concessions. We sat in the upper deck in the middle. Specifically, row KK seats 53 & 54. I've been to Sight and Sound 2 other times and sat in the lower seats... I think I would prefer to sit lower.... Up top, we could see everyone's phones on, people having to stand up and leave- which I know is so picky of me but I would pay the extra money to sit lower. I will say, a perk of sitting up top is the bathrooms and exit way to the lobby that is quicker to exit & way less crowded! The only thing is concessions aren't served upstairs (I think, not for sure on this) We saw David! My theological nerd of a husband had some beef with wanting more exposition especially with Solomon and the temple but I thought it was great use of the limited time they have! They walked us through his young boy years, Samuel anointing him, his relationship with Saul & Jonathan, hiding in the cave, becoming king, Bathsheba, and ended with his confrontation with Nathan and a redemption song. The emphasis was on David wanting to know God's heart and be known by God intimately. Really spoke to me personally in this season. I do think seeing Jesus was my favorite because it's the gospels. My husband says his favorite is Esther. But honestly, anything you see will be good. The ushers are amazing! They were keeping an eye out on anyone who needed anything-even working in the pitch dark to escort parents or children out. They have quiet rooms for families in the back & good seating for those in wheelchairs or anything else. At the end of the show, they have cast members and S&S staff available to pray with anyone who needs anything & they do an altar call for salvation, which is EPIC! They give space for people to encounter God and be walked through prayer. read more

We recently saw a production of "The Miracle of Christmas" at the Branson Site & Sound Theater. It is an impressive building and an equally impressive show. Amazing applies. The stage is enormous and incorporates the sides as well. Your best seats are mid-theatre to catch everything without having to squirm around in your seat as the scenes change. We were close and it worked well too. Our show included live animals both on stage and at times in the isles. There were numerous aerial scenes which were superbly executed. The lobby is equally spacious with the availability of snacks, gifts, and large, clean restrooms. We bought a 1 year pass to view all Site & Sound productions to date. They are streamable as many times as we wish within a year's time. Totally worth it! My description does not capture the beauty, production nor acting values we enjoyed so you'll need to trust me when I say it is spectacular and in my opinion equal to a Broadway production. In Branson on vacation, just the wife and I. Bought tickets to see David at the Sight and Sound theater. I don't know where to start...the facility is fantastic, a lot of people there but they knew how to keep people comfortably moving. The theater itself has not only the front center stage, but a left and a right stage as well. We did not sit floor level, and I'm glad we did not, we sat in the upper level which gave us a great view of all three stages. The production of David was fantastic, everything about it was just amazing. We will absolutely visit the theater again on our next visit to the area. read more

I did quite a bit of research before attending and I definitely think that these were the best seats, just above the sound guys with no people in front of us. Equal distance to the side stages. Brought along a 4x binoculars (slightly bigger than opera glasses but better lighting) to get closeups of the actors. Definitely get the roasted almonds; 1 bag per person. I'm not religious at all but would come for more shows here as I do appreciate the stories and production quality. Parking was a bit chaotic so arriving early is important. We arrived about 30 minutes before and sat in a queue to park for about 10 minutes. read more

This is a very unique 180 degree Broadway quality theater. They specialize is bringing the greatest stories of the Bible to life in the stage. Tonight we David, and it did not disappoint. The acting, singing, score and sets are top notch. Such a great way to spend time with the whole family. There is no bad seat in the house but we like section 2 or 3 (center). Oh my gosh! We just saw David. I cannot say enough about the talent-from singing to acting. This is the best play we have ever seen and we have seen a lot of plays. We will be regulars from now on. And kudos to the animal trainers. The sheep and goats were great! I have had both and was amazed at how they stayed on track and never deviated from their parts. The camels, donkey and all the rest were fantastic. The actors could not have been more talented. What a joy it was. We saw a production of David and it was the best part of the whole trip! There are three stages that move and live animals that wander and run down the aisles and across the stage. There is a lot of parking for this location with 2 separate exits. It can be a bit of walk from your car to the entrance. There is an added security screening before you are able to enter the building. You walk in to this amazing smell from the glazed nuts. Will call typically moves very quickly to pick up your tickets before a show. There is 3 concession areas on the first floor with food and merchandise. One of my favorite things about the show is the staging and costumes. I have been to both Lancaster and Branson and always enjoy the show. The production I saw was "David," and the show itself was nothing short of spectacular. ​From the moment you arrive, the experience begins. The theater building is truly magnificent and opulent. It's modern, incredibly spacious, and beautifully designed, adding a layer of grandeur to the entire outing. It definitely feels like you're walking into a state-of-the-art facility designed to transport you to another world. ​A Technical Marvel and a Hilarious Mishap ​The production of "David" was visually stunning, featuring elaborate, moving sets and a fantastic use of the theater's massive panoramic stage, which wraps around the audience. The scale and attention to detail in the costumes and choreography were outstanding, bringing the epic biblical story vividly to life. ​There was, however, one unforgettable moment that added a touch of unscripted comedy to the drama of the show: the famous fight between David and Goliath. ​When David successfully strikes Goliath, the giant actor just kept his head moving--a small, amusing sign that the mechanism or cue for his fall wasn't quite ready! The crew member responsible for pulling the cable or rope to topple the giant was visibly struggling, pulling as hard as they could, but Goliath just wouldn't fall. The tension--and the audience's silent anticipation--built for what felt like 30 seconds. ​Finally, a character on stage, perhaps the King, yelled out, "Run!" but everyone on stage was frozen. Another 30 seconds passed before the command was repeated: "Run! (again)," and on that cue, the entire ensemble scattered. Goliath, hilariously, never actually fell over during that entire sequence. Despite the technical glitch, the actors and crew handled it like pros, and it just made the show even more memorable! ​Final Recommendation ​This slight technical hiccup did nothing to diminish the overall brilliance of the show. Every time I go to a sight and sound production, I think that things could not be better and then I am amazed by the next production. David is exceptional. The theater is a masterpiece of visual and audio sensations. The staff is amazing. The theater is beautiful, well designed, and easy to navigate with the help of the staff. The production was better than Broadway productions that I have seen in New York. Spectacular sets and special effects elevate the production , but it is the talent of the cast that makes this one the best performances that I have ever seen. From the two young men who portrayed David and Saul to the Michal, the voices and acting were superb. The choreography and music were masterful. I bought my tickets four months ago.
