Thankfully, I found Laura Phillips, who specializes with handling taxes specifically in dental offices. When we first met with her, she reviewed our tax return where we had paid over $100,000 to the IRS, and she confidently said it was incorrect, and that we did not owe that money. With her dedication to help us, she was able to amend our tax return to the IRS, and we were able to get our money back, plus the IRS paid us interest. Since then, we have our full confidence in the services provided by Laura and her team at the Phillips Group. We signed up for the monthly services which includes our monthly accounting, and have our own personal accountant, Nick Cejas, who always answers any questions I may have, and even takes care of many accounting tasks that they keep track for me throughout the year. So sad to leave this negative review. It stems from the way I was treated after I decided to leave them. Everyone makes mistakes, but the decision came from the fact that they did not have an understanding of my account despite the high monthly fee I was paying them. After I informed them that I was unhappy and was thinking of leaving they ceased all communication and would not direct or return my calls when I had questions. I never got answers. The promises they made for filing my tax paperwork were also empty. I was finally informed that since I decided to leave they will not follow through with their promises. If you decide to go with the Phillips group you will be expected to follow blindly and just know that they will not have your best interests at heart. read more

Back in 2021 my husband passed away in April and we had a pretty traumatic experience with the Phillips Group. Taxes were incredibly stressful for me as my husband had always handled that part of our finances. For various reasons I decided to continue with this firm and they have since become more responsive to my questions and requests for help. I do not recommend this company to anyone looking for a reliable accounting agency. My friend and and I both contacted this company and both had a consultation with Andrew (office secretary). After our consultation, Andrew asked us to make an account and upload our information to move forward. After we performed the tasks, Andrew completely ignored both of us. You would think that someone who prides themselves on serving dental professionals would welcome more business but it is clearly not the case here. I'm not sure how the business was run when Bob was in charge but letting Andrew be the face of the company now is clearly a problem that isn't working out well.
