The people in this bar are genuinely amazing people and very thoughtful can't say enough about this place and everyone there. They have made me feel like family and I love each and every one of them. Finally I had a night off to come check this bar out that my friend's have talked so highly of. We came on 01/10/2026 to see Sheila perform & the place was packed! She is well loved. My friend had a table reserved for us, thank God cause I would have hated to had to stand all night. Our 2 other friends showed up late so once they came to the table (high top) it was a little crowded when you all want to eat & have drinks. Our waiter was Hunter. I know it was busy but the service wasn't the best. He forgot to bring me another drink that I ordered so my friend grabbed one at the bar for me. He also forgot to send out a large side of honey mustard sauce so I had to bug him for another one & then he forgot to order my onion rings. I did get those for free without even asking, thank you for that! We had to ask for our bill when we were ready to leave. He was able to give us separate checks which was nice. My friend said service is usually better with Hunter so I'll blame it on it being very busy. I got the chicken tenders which were sooooooo yummy! They came out HOT, had a nice, thin crispy coating to them & the chicken was very moist. It was served with fries which were very tasty too. The honey mustard sauce was very thin & I would have preferred it to be a little thick but it did the job. My friend had steak quesadilla & shared one with me. It wasn't bad & the meat wasn't dried out but I did get a couple of fat pieces in my bites that I had to set aside. Another friend got shrimp & let me try a piece. It wasn't bad but I would of liked a sauce to go with it & it was fishy smelling. The onion rings had absolutely no taste to them & the onions tasted watery. I wouldn't order these again. I'd love to try the Mac & cheese but you can't get a side of it & I didn't need two dinners...lol There were a lot of elderly people in the crowd & my friend did tell me that we would probably be the youngest ones in there which we actually weren't but it was nice to see the old folks get out of the house & enjoy themselves. Shelia put on a great performance & even had a guy come up (with mustache) who had an AMAZING voice, another older male & female who all sang with her. She changed her outfits a couple of times & even came around to say hi & thank the crowd. I'd definitely come back here & would love to check out their happy hour and have some more chicken tenders...writing this review has me craving them! lol Parking lot is small but it's in a shopping plaza with other stores. The Phoenix has become a new weekend home away from home for me. The crowd, the staff, the food, the drinks...are just all top tier. It's really the perfect place to chill and they have so many events to offer, there's something for everyone. My favorite nights so far have been karaoke and the Grease night where they put on a whole production in the bar that was impressive, to say the least. Met a group of people here for a celebration of life for the loss of a family member. The placed was jammed packed at 6pm because of some drag for charity event and it just got busier as the night went on. It's an upbeat, fun place with a totally diverse crowd. Parking is a little tough. Not many places to park. Plus they have signs when you walk in saying not to leave valuables in the car. Pretty sketchy area. I definitely recommend ride share. Service was descent however they charged a different price for the same drink order 3 times. When I ordered a beer and a Tito's soda it was $16. My husband went back (same bartender) $15. Then he went to another bartender $14. Still cheap for a bar in Vegas but keep it consistent. read more

Lovely, friendly, AWESOME place! My husband and I wanted to find "community" when we moved to this part of town, and I think we've found it...or have started to. The Phoenix is an unpretentious, fun, laid-back, full-service establishment. THE FOOD IS DELICIOUS, as well as low-priced! How do they make so many different dishes so well??!! Drinks are awesome, and the Happy Hour lasts for six hours, six days a week! The staff really knows how to make you feel welcome and at home, but I have to give a special shout-out to HUNTER! Not only is he cute and hot, he REALLY knows his stuff and makes us feel valued. That he's funny as hell is an added bonus. There's lots of different events and happenings almost daily, but hubby and I go early for Happy Hour and great food...because we're old! I don't know how they do what they do, so well, but the entire operation at The Phoenix deserves ten stars. I'm so glad we found this gem so close to home. Tonight a friend and I went to the Phoenix Bar and had a couple of drinks. I opened a tab with my ATM card, and while we played the slots (lost over $200, which isn't the issue), the service became frustrating. Nic, the bartender, ignored us for most of the night. We constantly had to ask for drinks, while it seemed like people he knew got served right away. Don't get me wrong he's very good looking but he seriously lacks hospitality skills. Thankfully, we met Daven, who was amazing, but unfortunately he wasn't the one serving us. What really bothered me is that even though we were playing the slots, not one single drink was comped. On top of that, when I asked to pay cash instead of leaving it on my card, they charged my card anyway, then had to run a return so I could pay again with cash. My tab was around $150, and I paid with two $100 bills but they kept the change without even asking. The right thing to do would've been to ask if I needed change back. I had planned on tipping with the leftover, but that choice was taken from me. The Phoenix is the closest gay bar to me, but after this experience, I think I'll start checking out other gay bars even if they are further away. read more

Back again! Came along for the show, and got a couple of food items as well. This time, I had the chicken Cesar salad & an order of onion rings. The salad is perfect with lots of chicken, and the onion rings are fabulously seasoned! Their texture is nice and crispy on the outside with a soft and tender onion on the inside. The service was super quick and friendly! My biggest and only complaint is that the smoke machine runs far too heavily. At times, it's almost even difficult to see people in the booth next to me, and certainly dulls the sparkle of the entertainers. read more

In addition to the inclusive and diverse atmosphere - the staff always makes me and my group feel welcome. The staff is prompt, friendly, and thoughtful. I'm also a fan of the food. I've tried the chicken nachos, Caesar salad, chicken sandwich, and hotdog. For bar food, the quality is great and fresh. Never too salty or dry. We visit this place every time we come to Vegas! It is super chill during the day, and you can really get to chat with your bartender. Which brings me to this review. A couple weeks ago my wife and I had to drop our car off for a windshield replacement. We decided to spend a couple hours chilling at the Phoenix. Our bartender Gavin was simply amazing. Super attentive and the best chill vibe you could ask for! Our drinks were never even close to empty, and during happy hour, who can beat the prices! I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for cheap good drinks and good food too. In Vegas some bartenders can seem dismissive, or that they hate being at work, Gavin was quite the opposite. This is my favorite alternative bar in Las Vegas. It is fun and colorful. The staff is amazing and friendly and there is a lot of entertainment from karaoke to burlesque, from costume parties to birthday celebrations. The food and drinks are reasonably priced. They serve a delicious fusion dish that I think is unique to this bar called Taco-nauts (crispy wonton skins, grilled salmon, spicy mayo and some other delicious-ness). Last night, I had a hot dog that was bacon-wrapped with pickles, and special sauce (I think this was a special). Best. Hotdog. Ever! read more
