Krampus, chocolate drink, and naughty + nice shots
    Taylor J.

Came here for the Christmas popup and it was a great time! Arrived around 10pm on Christmas night and this place was pretty busy. Good prices for drinks! We also got to take our naughty and nice shot glasses home which was a great perk. They had pizza on site, a dj, and overall a positive crowd. I'd be curious to see what it's like when a pop up isn't on.

Great, festive bar to celebrate the holidays at! The ambiance definitely gets a 5/5. They decorate every inch of this bar and it makes for great photos. The service was not bad, we went during peak hours on a Saturday so it was expected to be busy, but the bartenders kept the lines moving. The pizzas were delicious but the drinks were just ok for the price. Our group felt that our drinks were watered down a bit. I wasn't in love with the spiked hot cocoa, it was hard to drink once it cooled off. Although, I'd still come back and try other items on the menu. This bar will keep your ID when you order a seasonal drink in a special mug. You need to return the mug to get your ID back. It's a neat system except for when you'd like to keep your ID and don't want a fancy cup. They make exceptions sometimes, but not when we asked. Overall, a cute festive bar and I'm glad we tried it out.

There's live entertainment every day here which is a huge plus. I really like that there's so many different bands and acts that are presented on their stage - giving you a great mix of all different types of music. During the nights it can get very busy and you can tell by the parking lot. There's a courtyard in the back as well and during the holidays it's really nicely decorated both inside and out. They have a pizza place inside. When you enter, go to the right and there's a window to order. They give you a buzzer and you'll know when your pizza is ready. I would say that the pizza is good, not great, but good. I got a pepperoni pizza. Ordering drinks - you go straight to the bar. The bartenders are all SUPER friendly! They help explain the different drafts that they have and are very attentive when you walk up. On some days they have two different acts for the live entertainment as well. Overall, it's great vibes!

I stopped by Sand Dollar for the Christmas pop up after being disappointed by a different Christmas pop up bar. The first thing I noticed when we walked in was the smell of the pizza. I wish I had an appetite because from what I could see of others orders, it looked really good. The bar was decorated to theme and was very spacious. Even offered an outdoor bar and seating area. The drinks we ordered came in really cute cups that were on theme of Christmas. My friend and I both thought the drinks taste better than the previous bar but weren't great. As time went on, the bar got progressively busier but never felt overcrowded. There were maybe 20 chairs around the bar and some table seating options but I do with there was more seating available inside since the space was so large. I would be willing to give the bar another chance but order something different.

Came here with a friend to soak up the holiday atmosphere, and the space was incredibly festive. The Christmas decor was super cute throughout the bar, and even extended into the outdoor area. The mugs our drinks were served in were adorable and added a nice touch to the experience. I wasn't crazy about my drink personally, but the service was good and the place is spacious with plenty of seating. There were singers and a DJ (outside the main building; in the tent in the outdoor area). It's a great spot to enjoy Christmas decor, music, and a nice holiday vibe.

String drinks and a local vibe with legit musicians and skilled bartenders. Never judge a book by its . It's Vegas.

A sandollar for your thoughts said Poseidon. The vibes are fun and music is on spot. The pizza is submerged in flavor. "They say sandollars are coins lost by mermaids at sea, once found they bring good luck indefinitely"

Sand dollar during the holidays is crazy busy. Came one Friday night for during December and it was wild. Line for mixed drinks was about a 15 minute wait and luckily was able to get a table. The pizza was ok. I remember tasting better. We ordered 3 of their pies and they were all ok. Shout out to all the staff, specially to Kevin who I stoped for a second to ask a question while he was running up and down that place getting product for the bar. He took his time to explain me their menu and answered all the questions my group had.

Sometimes u crave corned beef hash or filet mignon. This is one such place corned beef hash kinda place. And it's perfect for what it is. I don't even know if I'd call it a dive bar--feels like this place is older than the term itself. More like an OG "been there, drank that, bought the T-shirt" kinda situation. It's so old school they don't even have a bouncer--probably because they already know the average customer age is 40... maybe 39 if it's someone's birthday and their niece brought friends. Now before I got here, I was over at the ultra-swanky "Wax Rabbit" at the Durango Casino--a luxe speakeasy hidden inside a Mexican restaurant. Talib Kweli was DJing, the crowd was cute and cooler than thou, and everyone looked like they just walked off a runway. Including me--because one thing imma always do is serve a look. So when the party migrated here afterward... Ya girl was--how do I say this politely--CONFUSED AF. This is the kind of seedy-looking, dimly-lit spot you only see on TV, where the bartender keeps a shotgun under the bar and knows how to use it. The kind of place your parents go to and only invite you to when you turn 35 and they think you've finally earned your grown-up card. It's got everything you need: Live bands that change nightly to keep the vibes fresh. Chairs, tables, and two big couches with coffee tables--premium view of the stage, ideal for vibing or judging quietly. A center bar that's clearly been through some things but still standing tall. Pool tables for you to either win with pride or lose with excuses. Now let me tell you--I fully expected to feel outta place walking in. Our crew? All under 45, all people of color. My Black a$$ was ready to do a U-turn. But I couldn't have been more wrong. It was rainbow city up in there--folks of all kinds, just vibin'. And people were actually dancing... rhythm? Minimal. Pizzazz? Barely there. But the effort? Top tier. One off-beat couple was 5-6-7-8'ing like it was their final callback. And this older lady--apparently a local fixture--was two-stepping around the stage like it was her own personal Soul Train. And chilllle when i say she was giving shhooulders!!!! This place is definitely a "come as you are" kind of vibe--which is rare and appreciated in the glammed-up thirst trap that can be Vegas nightlife. Now me? I like to be in bed by 10:30, lights out by 11. So by the time we pulled up around 1:30am, I was already locked in a full-on battle with the Sandman, who was whispering sweet bedtime lies. But my friends? WIDE awake. Ordering pizza (which they sau is incredibly gooood) Telling jokes. Acting like it was still happy hour. Even my super straight-laced veteran brother was living his best life. By 3am I called it. But my brother wanted to stay (let's be honest--he was tryna flirt with one of my younger homegirls), so I left him with the crew and dipped. And I left knowing he--first-time Vegas visitor from the deep South--was in good hands. The live band was tearing up classic rock and country like they had something to prove, and he was all in. Used the bathroom before I left--small, but clean (honestly that's a win). Got to my car easy, thanks to the solid parking lot right out back. All in all? A damn good experience that I totally didn't expect. And yep--already planning to go back. Service/Product: 4.4 Atmosphere: 4 Customer Service: 4.5/5

All decorated for xmas, live music, pizza, and holiday drinks. Servers are amazing and the pizza was surprisingly good.

    Alex P.

This year the holiday decor is as splendid as last year's! Stopped by last night and enjoyed "Santa" singing blues - now they have live music every night. The band was fantastic, the crowd really grooving. The challenge is when it's this crowded, it becomes almost impossible to order a drink. You really have to get close and personal to others at the bar to flag someone so you can order something - meanwhile, two guys interpreted my proximity as interest in, well, them. Lol. Drinks are delish by the way. Have yet to try their pizza, but I will soon.

I have spent two weeks on vacation in Las Vegas and I have had my fill on the tourist trap locations. Luckily a musician friend recommended the Sand Dollar Lounge as a place to catch some local musicians. I really enjoyed myself here. The beer selection was good, the pizza was amazing, and the local group playing, The Foster Collective, was on point! The staff was very friendly and welcoming. I will definitely be back here first thing the next time I'm in Las Vegas.

Checked out the xmas pop up on Christmas Eve. Showed up around 5 and had a good time. The decor is just what we were looking for. Thanks for bringing the festive spirit!

More please, indeed…read more Mas Por Favor Taqueria y Tequila is a taco shop and speakeasy in the massive and often cramped Center on Spring Mountain strip mall. It's closer to the Valley View end and can actually be easy to park at in the afternoon if you're going for happy hour as I did (available Monday all day, and 3-6pm on other days). I wasn't quite sure where to go so I asked an employee up front about doing happy hour drinks, and he showed me into a long hallway dressed up like a mining tunnel. At the far end was the door into the bar area, which was pretty empty mid-afternoon until some other parties joined me. I sat at the bar and looked over the menu a bit then placed my order. First out was my happy hour cocktail. I chose the Mas Dog 20/20 ($8.00 happy hour)), which sounded like a decent if very fruity gin cocktail and came out pretty sweet and very fruit-forward. Turns out it's inspired by something called MD 20/20, which sounds like malt liquor but for people who need it to be sweet. It was actually pretty decent to sip on but isn't the best match for what I ate, and I ended up squeezing limes into water. The food came out all at once. I really wanted to try the Elotes ($3.00 HH), a delicious creamed corn app topped with crushed Hot Cheetos. It's actually a really addictive dish and one of the most fun bites of the whole thing. I also tried one of each taco available on the current happy hour menu. The two Street Tacos ($3.00 HH) were both solid, with barbacoa serving as the more delicious beef option while the carnitas were actually not as dry as other versions I've had. The mild green salsa and somewhat more medium-ish smoky orange salsa were both great complements to both of these. I enjoyed these, and one of the other tacos, despite the stone cold tortillas they were served on. The two Signature Tacos ($4.00 HH) were a little more dichotomous. I loved the Muy Caliente with its al pastor, chipotle sauce, jack cheese, and Hot Cheetos crumbles. The Gringo, on the other hand, was as boring as or worse than the archetype of the white person taco, with no crispy shell or tomato to help with the monotony. Luckily, I had some lime and salsas to play with, so I wasn't bored to death. I enjoyed the speakeasy area. It wasn't too dim, especially at the bar, and the favorite weapon of the T's in Counter-Strike was on full display behind said bar. There was a mariachi-sounding song being played when I first got in, but they inexplicably moved on to what I later realized was a music video playlist from the top of the aughts, aka my formative years listening to top 40 / pop / hip hop. Quite the nostalgia trip, especially when I later found out that my bartender and the couple who also decided to sit at the bar were from my hometown. I would come back to Mas Por Favor for happy hour, maybe Taco Tuesday, and definitely some of the other interesting signature tacos on their regular menu. It may not be the most comprehensively awesome spot, but it's at least a pretty solid option for eats and drinks.

The Wednesday special is hard to beat $100 for a 1L bottle with bottle service, which is an awesome value compared to most Vegas clubs. The service was excellent from start to finish. Our host and server were attentive, and all of the staff and security were friendly, welcoming, and professional. The DJ kept the energy up all night with a great mix of Top 40 hits and EDM, so there was something for everyone in our group. Between the music, the atmosphere, and the great service, everyone had an amazing time. If you're a local looking for a fun Wednesday night spot or have friends and family visiting, I definitely recommend checking out Ghostbar. I'll definitely be back!

I remember when it was new but it is still as beautiful as ever. It was kept up over the years and was reinvented once during its lifetime. I like the Rio's rooftop bar and this one - and a lot of good memories here from now years ago. The 'elevation' of this bar and the view it offers should be part of any Vegas getaway. The people who come here are from all over the world - but you also get local regulars - and I think that is what makes it so enjoyable. Bring your friends and you are guaranteed a good time. I have fond memories of my one friend here 'taking down the mother hens!!' The trendy club scene of today - it changes - it has to do with what DJ and what celebrity endorsement - and probably more factors I'm not even aware of. Resorts a tiny bit off the Strip are always a better value and they tend to try a bit harder. The same is true for anything at the Palms for that matter: the rooms, the restaurants and the overall service. No doubt there are other clubs on the Strip that have the "it" factor - but this is a good bet.
