Wednesday evening visit for the first time. 2nd floor to a beautifully decorated space with plenty of seating. The drink menu is not as extensive as upstairs at Mathers but bartenders are more mixologists so expect expertly crafted cocktails. They have a limited happy hour for their featured cocktails too

This might be my new Happy Hour go-to in downtown Orlando! The Phoenix is located underneath of Mather's, another great Orlando cocktail bar. The Phoenix has a large interior with lots of seating and a stage for live jazz music! My favorite part was their Happy Hour, which is 7-10 PM every night 50% off cocktails, even Friday and Saturday. My espresso martini was less than $8, including tip! I will definitely be back the next time I want to hear some live music in downtown Orlando.

This is the old Aloha bar. Now located within Matthers. It was spacious and nice jazz music playing but j had hoped the live music would have started earlier. Jazz is appreciated ( in my opinion) to an older demographic so, I think it would serve them well to start earlier.

Had planned to visit Mathers on the 3rd floor, but they had this new location open on the 2nd floor and stopped in. They offer a happy hour from 7p-10p so it was nice to see an option for happy hour. There was lots of seating available and there is a stage so I'm sure they will book musicians at some point to make for a good date spot. The mixologists at the bar were very friendly and knowledgeable about the speciality drinks they offered. They do have other bar items so if none of the speciality drinks caught your eye they can make other items. I tried the Passion Fruit martini that was very light and refreshing. So if you missed the Mather's happy hour stop in at The Phoenix for a drink and check it out!

As soon as you walk in to this place you get your ID checked and you will go to the 2nd floor. I came on a Saturday night and there was no cover. The music was amazing all jazz and the band was super talented. I didn't get a drink at this place but I loved the atmosphere and I will definitely come back to this place to try the drinks.

I did enjoy that Mather's is just a few steps away right above so you can switch back and forth depending on your scene.

This was a good date night out doing something's we both enjoy, food and live music. The food was mid. The wings weren't flavorful but the presentation was nice. Hard to be disappointed with a dipping sauce. I enjoyed the caramelized onion flatbread and the Avocado & Feta salad. I used ranch instead of the sauce that it came with and it was good. I had a rum punch type drink and it was $28 with nothing to offer..that was disappointing. Rick Melvern was the voice. The show was good. I enjoyed the voice of but he was very rude to my husband and I. He ignored us but interacted with ALL the other patrons. We sang.. he ignored, we danced he ignored.. I purposefully didn't say anything, until my husband asked me if it seemed he had a problem with us. He blatantly asked all the tables by us for request and no one had one.. we yelled out "Reasons" and he acted like he couldn't understand my husband. This left a sour taste in my mouth. I literally made it a point to continue to enjoy my company and make the best of our time. If I had the option to NOT buy a table and contribute to him. But the band was well worth it. I told Naylani. For this reason I told her I wouldn't return.. but she insisted to give it another try. We will.

Whenever I'm at Disney Springs I love to take a break and enjoy the House of Blue ambiance. We didn't order "Four fried chickens and a Coke." But we had some amazing burgers. I got the blackened salmon which came with green beans and roasted tomatoes. The salmon itself was nice, the blackened seasoning was good, had a good kick to it as well. The salmon itself was a little overcooked for my taste but it was a nice piece of fish overall. The green beans on the other hand were both overcooked and undercooked at the same time. Some of the beans were a pale olive and were super over done, some were bright green and basically raw. I don't know what's going on in the kitchen but this was definitely not a job well done. Also they gave me like three cherry tomatoes they probably could have done a little bit better with the quantity in that department. For the price they're charging the food should be a lot more consistent. I give it two and a half stars rounded up to three because I did like the guy that was playing the guitar and singing and the atmosphere was fairly decent. As far as food goes, big overpriced dud, steer clear.

There's no waitstaff, so you'll need to head to the bar to grab your drinks, but that didn't bother me at all. I only ordered a Shirley Temple, and it was fine. My husband stuck to Stella's most of the night, and he said they were fresh and served ice-cold, just how he likes them. The real highlight of the evening was the band--the 789s. They were absolutely fantastic! The artists were engaging with the crowd, creating an electric vibe that kept the dance floor packed the whole time. You couldn't help but be caught up in the energy of the music. The combination of great drinks and lively entertainment made for an unforgettable experience. If we're ever back in Sanford and there's a good band playing at The Alley, we will absolutely return. It's a great spot to enjoy a drink and listen to great live music.

To sum it up: great atmosphere, solid food, excellent shakes, and consistently good service…read more Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater can get busy, and reservations are sometimes difficult to secure because it's one of the more popular restaurants on Disney property. The menu is mostly burgers, sandwiches, pasta, and rotating specialty items. I've been visiting for several years, and it's a must-do for us. They usually offer a special burger and shake, although I still miss the ribs they used to serve. The atmosphere is what truly makes this restaurant special. You begin behind the scenes of a movie production and are then escorted by your carhop into a drive-in theater. The area is designed to look like nighttime, complete with city lights surrounding the theater. The most sought-after seats are the cars with bench seating, which can accommodate about two people per row. Larger parties may still be seated in a car-themed area, but they'll typically have regular tables attached to the front and rear sections of a vehicle. If you don't have a reservation, you may be seated at circular tables with umbrellas. Those provide more space, but they aren't nearly as immersive. The car benches have small built-in lights, which are helpful for reading the menu without ruining the atmosphere. The movie screen plays old B-movie trailers, drive-in commercials, and classic Walt Disney science-fiction cartoons. The program loops after about an hour, but since I've visited many times, I'm probably more aware of that than most guests. The food is consistently good, and you can't go wrong with the burgers. On my most recent visit, I tried the appetizer sampler, which included fried pickles, wings, and queso. The wings were excellent. I also ordered an alcoholic chocolate shake, but after sharing the appetizer and a sandwich, I was already dangerously full. My dining companion and I often share meals because the portions are filling. If you're hungry and skipping the appetizer, though, I recommend ordering individually. The service has always been excellent--exactly what I've come to expect from Disney. I've visited more than eight times and, with a reservation, have never waited longer than 10 minutes to be seated. I haven't tried dessert because I'm usually so full that I feel like I'm going to burst, especially back when they offered those ribs. I plan to try the house-made Sci-Fi Candy Bar on my next visit, as I've heard great things about it. Prices are reasonable for Disney, and annual passholder discounts are accepted. The restaurant can be a little difficult to find if you're unfamiliar with the park. It's next to ABC Commissary, down the wide walkway near the Chinese Theater. Once you're almost at the theater entrance, look to your left, find ABC Commissary, and follow the walkway down until you see the restaurant. Sci-Fi Dine-In is fun for the whole family and offers an experience you won't get anywhere else at Disney. Reservations are strongly recommended.

This is a spot my son has asked to visit twice. My review is after our 2nd visit and I'm writing it…read morebecause both times were incredibly frustrating. Both visits I made a reservation. Both visits I waited almost 1 hour for my reservation to be honored. No apologies. Nothing to accommodate. (Keep in mind if I had shown that late they would have given my table away). Once sat I was really irritated to see a half empty room. The table beside me was sleeping in the booth. No one was moving them along. No one. Once they actually left it took 10 minutes for the tale to be cleaned and another 10 before another reservation was sat. The lobby was still full of reservations not being honored though. The wait staff was OK both times. They go through the motions; food is slow to come out. We were checked on once. No area leader in sight to check on people. There's a whole park outside and stopping here on two separate occasions has put my planned time at the park in jeopardy. At this point, I won't be back. And if you have plans in the park, consider NOT eating here.
