Drinks were also very good even though I had a mocktail and they loaded up on some cocktails. We were all impressed. The lounge has spoken word monthly where local artist from central Florida ( even Duval and Tampa ) came to showcase their talents. It's not a Chris brown concert but it was nice to see different poets, singers and musicians share their love of art and music with us. Spoken word starts around 8:30pm and ends around 11:30-12. Entry is free so be courteous and order food and drinks to support the business. I wouldn't mind come back for a date night with my honey or another round of ladies night. When it finally arrived, the sushi did not meet expectations for the price point and seemed to be of low quality. The situation became more concerning when I realized I had never been given a receipt. After requesting it, I noticed that I had been charged for items I did not order. When I brought this to the bartender's attention, she stated that she had given me a "free drink," implying that this justified the additional charges. I explained that I simply wanted to be refunded for anything I did not order and charged correctly for what I actually received. Instead of resolving the issue, the bartender became visibly upset and began speaking to me in an unprofessional and disrespectful manner. At that point, I asked to speak with the manager. When he arrived, I explained that I had been charged incorrectly and that the bartender had been verbally disrespectful toward me. Unfortunately, his response was dismissive, and he did not offer a solution or attempt to address the situation in a constructive way. As a customer, this experience was upsetting. I came to enjoy the event and support the venue, but instead I left feeling disrespected and that my concerns were not taken seriously. A simple resolution correcting the bill and addressing the behavior would have gone a long way. I also want to mention that the overall service throughout the evening appeared very slow. I observed several other women waiting a long time to be assisted as well. In the service industry, professionalism and respect toward patrons are essential. I ultimately informed the manager that I would not be returning to the establishment. Unfortunately, there was no effort made to resolve the situation before I left. It's especially disappointing because the house music community is known for being welcoming and positive. Events like this bring people together, and it would be great to see venues reflect those same values in how customers are treated. I hope this feedback is taken seriously so that future guests do not have a similar experience. But it seemed from the experience I had, your management doesn't care how customers are treated by this female bartender.
