    Lamb Meatballs

Phoenix Kitchen is a modern upscale restaurant with a spacious outdoor patio. We ordered an appetizer the lamb meatballs they were seasoned well and moist. For dinner we chose the 14 oz rib eye, and a cheeseburger with fries. The ribeye and the cheeseburger were seasoned well and the temperature cook was just as we requested medium. Our wait staff was friendly and attentive. For dessert, we had the chocolate cake and it was delicious - so decadent I videotaped the plate - check it out in the pictures below. Overall, this restaurant gets a four out of five across-the-board. For two people dining in, with an appetizer, main course and a shared dessert it was $115 before tax. They have a bar with lots of mixed cocktails to choose from and their wine list is solid. This is a great place for a date night or girls night!

I have never had a bad meal here. The pork chop is probably my favorite dish hands down. The manager Lynda is amazing, she's always walking around talking to people and making you feel like you have known each other forever. Every server has been top notch. The outdoor area is great in the summer when it's not too hot. Definitely worth checking out. You won't be disappointed!

The food, atmosphere, and staff were amazing!! There were many gluten free choices as well, and I had no reactions after eating them. Highly recommend!!

Finally got around to giving this place a try after going by it a lot. Very nice inside. Well lit. We were seated right away by the hostess and our waiter was on us like a flash getting us our drinks. Very friendly waiter who took his time with us asking about nut allergies and how well we take to spicy. Really appreciate that. (Current medication I cant do spicy) French onion soup to start with was ok. They definitely try to do something different with it that I definitely appreciate, but I just wasnt a huge fan. We shared the prosciutto dates which were very tasty. Definitely recommend those. The Four Cheese Flatbread was also ok. Very very dry texture with not much sauce. The manicotti on the other hand was very tasty. Both of is agreed it was worth coming back for that alone. Overall while I was discouraged by the Flatbread and Soup we'd go back. Didnt get a chance to try the smoked old fashioned (again, medication) I hear good things about and the burger I was leaning towards, these will definitely get me back.

Food and atmosphere here was great. The cocktails have such a pretty presentation. We sat at the bar so the waiters were very attentive and friendly. Food was pretty good here, burger was just a little dry to me and fries were just so so, so I knocked off a start. I'd definitely would try the pastas instead next time as those looked so good.

Had a double date night with friends and we loved this place. The ambiance's is cozy and romantic and is dimly lit is some places. The food was amazing. We ordered the bread appetizer and I highly recommend this. It comes in a cast iron skillet and with a butter candle. As the candle melts this rosemary flavored aroma fills the air and you can dip the bread it is buttery goodness. The staff were professional and so friendly. I highly recommend making reservations. We were here on a Saturday night and it was pretty busy. If you want you can always snag a seat at the bar. My husband said it was the best old fashion he's ever had and they used a smoker on it.

The Burger and Fries - so good!!

Amazing food in the suburbs is usually hard to find, so I was a bit skeptical that it would live to my brother's praise. That, and we didn't really have elsewhere to go haha. We drove the 20min to Homer Glen, and my brother remarked it was unusually empty - which worked for us since we didn't have to wait. We were immediately seated and placed our order. The brother got a smoked old fashioned - and wow! It had immediate visual (and olfactory) appeal! I've only seen that in fancy cocktail bars so I was already impressed. The table then got the saganaki - which is basically cheese on fire. It was delicious as melted cheese was though maybe not the healthiest thing with it just being straight cheese. I was going to get the pork tenderloin, but my brother recommended the Phoenix Burger - and I'm kind of a fiend for burgers though I also get worried when burgers are above $13 as it can be a real bummer if it misses the mark. My mother got the salmon, and my other brother got the daily special which were tacos. Amaaaazzing!! The burger was super super good. Like, the difference between a $18 burger and one from McDonald's (I like those too, but they're not $18) - is especially the quality of meat. Not greasy, not overground, tasty - the patty was really one of the best I've had (there's a 5* hotel in Bali that also does really well, but it's also in Bali) - and I love that there were an almost ridiculous amount of fries. Superb choice :) My mom liked her salmon, and the brother liked the tacos - we didn't share so I can't really comment. We did get the cheesecake (I don't really like cheese cake but we just went with whatever) - it was really good though it would also help if one liked cheesecake :D In the end, really enjoyed Phoenix Kitchen - totally can't wait to come back!

branzino, phoenix burger and truffle fries, buttata melon appetizer

our first time at phoenix kitchen was fantastic! we booked a reservation on open table for patio seating on a saturday at 7:30pm. when we arrived it wasn't too busy and we were seated immediately. the patio was so nice, with lush landscaping and a couple really nice fountains. the road noise was blocked out pretty well by the hedge wall as well as the sound of the fountains. our waitress was great, prompt with good timing and attentiveness without being too pushy. my husband's cosmopolitan was good, my strawberry no-jito mocktail was fantastic. the melon burrata summer special was a bit funky but we appreciate the creativity. the phoenix burger was absolutely fantastic and it was totally worth the $4 to upgrade from regular fries to truffle fries. my husband's branzino was delicious and the portion was huge. the cannoli cheesecake was also delicious!

Had a great meal! We were able to get a table for 3 without a reservation on a Friday evening. The menu is not huge but still offers a nice variety with a little bit of everything. I shared a salad which was was pretty standard and nothing special. They do not really have the standard dressing options but they all seem to be made in house. I had the salmon for my entree and it was good, cooked well and had a nice flavor with rice and pico as an accompaniment. My friends had the papardelle (just okay, kind of sweet?) and the manicotti which was very good- nice and cheesy and served piping hot in a skillet. Overall the service was okay and the atmosphere was nice. I will say the music was really loud and totally did not match the vibe of the restaurant so that was a little strange but I would definitely go back and try more dishes!

I usually don't write negative reviews but unfortunately this place deserves it. We waited 15 minutes for a server and water once we were seated, I actually had to ask the bus boy if we had a waiter and he replied "I'm not sure". We ordered 3 appetizers all were over cooked. One friend got the Mahi Mahi and it had to be sent back because it was so over cooked it was like chewing cotton. I ordered the $46 filet mignon which was horrible. The quality of the meat isn't up to par compared to other upscale restaurants in the city and even in the suburbs (Gibbons, Tall Grass). The filet actually reminded me of a piece of sirloin. I doubt they cooked it in a cast iron as their was no crust. It came with mashed potatoes which tasted boxed with no flavor. I also ordered the steak medium rare and this is what I received lol

Our server--who was also tending bar--took our drink orders. Soft drinks arrived promptly, and we asked for a few extra minutes to look things over. I considered a burger, but at $25 it felt a bit steep, so we went with a mix of other dishes: Cedar Plank Salmon with Basil Soup, a Keto Cobb Salad with dressing on the side, The Park Reuben with fries, and a Blackened Chicken Panini with fries. Impressively, everything came out in about ten minutes. The Reuben and the Panini were both solid choices, though the fries were only room temperature. The salmon had great flavor, though the rice could have been a bit more cohesive. The Cobb salad hit the mark--fresh, satisfying, and easy to customize with the dressing on the side. Our server checked in regularly and kept our drinks refilled. The crowd was a mix of regulars, retirees, and casual diners, and we found ourselves eyeing other entrées as they passed by. The restaurant also has a great patio that will be perfect once the weather warms up, plus a well‑appointed bar area with plenty of TVs. Winter Olympics highlights were playing during our visit, adding to the relaxed atmosphere. We took a look at the dessert menu, but nothing really grabbed us this time. Even so, we all agreed we'd come back to try more of the menu--there's definitely potential here.

I visited on a Saturday for lunch and had no problem getting a table. The menu had a variety of appetizers, salads, burgers, sandwiches, and mains. They put the red sauce on the side to add your preferred amount. Any entree to split does add a $1.50 gratuity. Others in our group got The Girl's Signature Truffle Shuffle Burger and The Philly. The flavors were great, sandwich portions were large, but fries could have been crispier. Our server Souzie was incredibly kind, full of energy, and did a great job checking in on us. The items vary in price where some are value driven and some seem to be a premium. Overall, thoroughly impressed by my visit and the food quality. The service was quick and attentive, and although the place was busy we didn't have to wait on a Friday night. We were fairly unfamiliar with the menu options but came with a big appetite, our waiter recommended the empanadas for an appetizer and they were great! Perfectly fried and super crispy, and you could tell the oil they were using was clean which is always a great sign for the rest of the experience for me. The decorations were SUPER cool. They went over the top for the holidays. Even if it's almost February... Both my lady and I ordered margaritas, and they were the best we've had since we moved down. They were STRONG, but not overly so. 1 was enough, 2nd was for fun. As we were leaving the table next to us ordered a pour of tequila and they did it tableside. I had the Colombian flank steak plate. While I can say I came with a big appetite and I can eat, this was about the first time I can say I left a restaurant still hungry. I knew what I was getting into since the menu did state the size of the steak, and I guess it's not a huge minus I left wanting more! The margaritas probably played a part too. The plate was phenomenal. I ordered the steak medium rare, but it was a little on the rare side which I don't mind at all. Everything molded perfectly and no flavor overpowered the other. One of the tastiest meals I've had in a long time. The only thing holding back this place from a 5 is the portions and prices. $4 for two shrimp seemed insane, and adding options to the margaritas makes each one almost $16. It certainly doesn't deserve the low 3 star rating on this app. Can't wait to come back!

I expected it to either be creamy or lightly coated pasta, instead of a pool of pesto and oil. The sauce didn't really stay on to the gnocchi because it was so thin. I used my extra pita bread to sop it up. The artichoke with hummus appetizer is also tasty. My friend got the lamb shank (chops?) and she also enjoyed her meal. The espresso martini was good but it had like a chunky shaved chocolate or something on the rim which was unnecessary and made it kind of hard to drink. We haven't tried any desserts yet but they look amazing. It was about $150 for 2 cocktails, 2 glasses of wine, 2 entrees, and 1 appetizer. I couldn't afford this regularly but it's a nice treat every now and then.
