My first time in. My friend and I were meeting up for dinner and she was wondering if I had any suggestions. I found this place and the menu looked good, and the ambiance seemed nice from the photos. We both thought it looked like a good place to catch up, and have a nice meal. To our delight we were correct. From the moment we came in we were very pleasantly greeted at the door. Our server was very nice and made good suggestions, and since it was a slow night the exec Chef Scott even took some time and visited our table. He recommended some things as well. It was an overall fantastic night with amazing food and great drinks. The only problem is that now my friend has put me in charge of always picking the restaurant. hopefully lightening will strike twice! read more

Me and my wife went there last night on 1-21-24.i asked the waitress how big is the French onion soup. She replied comes in 16" bowl. Yes I got 16" bowl but with 1/2 cup of soup .She was right!!! The french onion soup was horrible all I tasted was a starch and was served with baby spoon. My Peruvian chicken was also dry and burned... first and last time ... good luck!! read more

We were looking for a nearby nice restaurant and we found it! We sat inside which can be a bit noisy however the separation between tables is good. The waiter was quick and attentive. The food was great. We ordered chicken picatta and a ribeye. Both dishes were delicious. We had sangria drinks and they were very good. Let's start with the hosting. We had a 7:45 reservation. We got there early but we still expected to be sat at 7:45. I received a text saying our table was ready. So I went to the host stand and asked about our table. She said she couldn't find us. We told her we'd be sitting at the bar. So we waited a little longer to be sat. Not sure where the disconnect was there. We then get sat and start ordering. We waited for one of our apps, which didn't come out until we asked about it. I then ordered the filet, medium rare, and it was over cooked. However, the drinks were super good. It's not an all around bad place but it did not live up to our expectations. The food and service here are top notch. The dishes are innovative and delicious. I've been here twice since it opened and both times were great. The entrees are good but the apps and sharing plates are more fun. Take a date or your partner, you won't be disappointed. I've tried the dough bird pizza, Baja sopes, Brussels sprouts, spicy goat cheese/tomato sauce with focaccia, wood grilled salmon, and of course dessert. The desserts are off the charts good. I had a sweet potato pecan pie with cinnamon ice cream on side and it was ridiculous. So good! read more

Been here twice to eat inside. Excellent service from Kim the waitress both times. The bar service left some room for improvement, they need another bartender or two, but if anyone were willing I'm sure they would have hired them so I won't hold that against them. Beautiful pristine gaming room. Nice smoked old fashioned. Tasted a majority of the menu in two trips and it was all good. Most of it great. They have one soup, comes w the saffron oil and is honestly amazing I hope they keep it forever. A beautiful gem 3 minutes from my home. No stoplights in between. Couldn't have asked for a more perfect place for my family to enjoy. I think I'll get carry out tonight as there's no babysitter, I'll try to leave a carry out review. read more

My husband and I went here for the first time this evening. I have been wanting to go here because I have heard positive reviews of it and it has an extensive gluten free menu. We were not disappointed! Our server was very attentive and helpful. We ordered 2 appetizers and we each ordered an entree! Honestly it was delicious and I look forward to go back and trying different options on the menu. We went early, but by the time we left the place was getting busy. It had a good vibe to it. I have driven past this restaurant a few times and have always wanted to try it even from the look of it from the outside. It was my first time visiting this restaurant today and I recommend it to everyone. My interaction with the staff was very welcoming and they are quick on there feet! Admittedly I was pleasantly surprised. Reading the menu online this looks like an overly pretentious place. Upon entrance, a look at the decor, menu etc and interacting with the staff I was greatly reassured . There are still quite a few dishes I probably wouldn't try but there were a few choices for a simpler palate like mine. The drinks menu was a good size and make up. The wine list had many reasonable choices. Very pleased. I ordered the ribeye and enjoyed every bite. It was well seasoned and cooked properly. I strongly suggest NOT eating the roasted garlic if you want attention from your loved ones. The asparagus was firm but not woody, also seasoned well. Desert of all things was the one area that could have been better. There was a wait for our dessert and the carrot/cheesecake presentation wasn't at all what I expected. Despite this and despite being stingy with five star reviews I believe it's only fair to award this one. I would eat here on occasion and would recommend this establishment for special occasions and special date nights. read more

Enjoyed the cooking of the new Executive Chef Scott Ruzicka and excellent service by server and staff!!!! Started out with the Baja Sopes- smoked al pastor, grilled pineapple-mango salsa, avocado butter, micro cilantro!!! Delicious and great flavors !!! Next was Cesar salad was amazing with a large Parmesan crisp ! Our main was the Spring stuffed Chicken with roasted vegetable & cream cheese stuffed chicken breast, purple potatoes, spring pea veloute! Very flavorful and tender ! GREAT, one of the best in the South Suburbs, I recommend the Octopus, whereas North American species are often too chewy.... belong in a Wrigley gum wrapper... this is from Spain and can be cut with a butter knife. We also loved the Brussel Sprouts and my Wife had one of the flatbreads. Thei drinks are unique, and I thoroughly enjoyed the Japanese whiskey cocktail. read more

Beautiful place and wonderful service. Food was overpriced and lackluster in flavor. Host would not seat us outside in middle of dining space. Put us off to the side against the building stating the prime seating was reserved. When we left there were still tables available in the prime seating area. Drinks were good. Restaurant-grown herbs was impressive. Great server. Atmosphere was nice. Enjoyed the salmon and rice dish. However the "Dirty Rice" dish was too mushy and had no real flavor (enjoy Dirty Rice elsewhere). Felt like they were trying too hard to offer high-end big-city-type fare in the suburbs, where possibly scaling down just a hair and offering a few basics may make for better dish options and satisfaction. Will go again sometime, but will pass on their Dirty Rice. read more

Disappointed. The atmosphere was fine but the entrees and apps were ok or subpar. The portion sizes were small. The pork bellies were ok. The pastor flatbread was good but hardly any pork and crust was a little soggy. The best entree was the pork chop. The fish was average. The prime rib was tough and maybe 1/2 inch thick. The dirty rice was decent but only 2 pieces of small shrimp. The old fashion was good as was the "sage advice". Our waiter was attentive. The owner was very attentive to the customers while we dined. There was a table of 10 year old, rowdy children sitting next to the table with their parents. After a few complaints from other guests, the owner went over an politely asked them to tell their kids to tone it down. The family was just, of course shocked that anyone would ask their kids to settle down and got up and left. The rest of the patrons were happy they could enjoy their experience after this. I just ate here tonight for the first time with my husband. The service was fantastic and the food was delicious and creative. We opted for snacks and small plates, and we didn't go wrong! We ordered the prosciutto dates, pork belly, lamb meatballs, bruschetta, sopes, lettuce wraps, and sourdough bread. There was not one thing on our plate I wouldn't order again! The drinks were fantastic as well. I had a sage cocktail and it was awesome! We are so excited to have found such a unique and fun dining experience so close to home!! Wishing them all the success. The location is the old Bonfire Restaurant. They did a beautiful job renovating the space. The staff is very attentive and helpful. The food is delicious. I had the ribeye one night with the garlic oysters as an appetizer and it was delicious. My last time there I had the smoked prime rib and it was to die for. The chef John I believe his name is came by and asked how everything was, nice touch. Awesome place in the burbs, highly recommended. read more
