I've been wanting a septum piercing for the longest time ever and now that I finally had the guts to get it, i started doing my research to find the right place. I searched on google and yelp to see what I could find and I came across The Piercing Shop. I looked at pictures and read the reviews and decided that I wanted to get the piercing there. I walked in without an appointment and i was greeted by a a very nice lady (she also did the piercing). She asked me what I was looking to get and was incredibly patient with a very nervous me. As of for the pain, I was really expecting the worst but I was perfectly fine. Not a single tear, the only thing I did feel was a little pressure but besides that it was completely pain-free. The piercing and jewelry was $40 and they also give a pamphlet for after care. I will definitely come back for future piercings and I rate this place a 20/10!! read more

Went here to replace jewelry in a cartilage piercing I had done 3 years ago! I called a few times to make an appointment and it kept going to voicemail but I understand that they only have one person working the shop and they may have been busy. I got a same day appointment which was awesome. The woman working was friendly and helpful when I was asking questions about different kinds of jewelry. They have great options; some even starting at just $10! The only reason I am giving 4/5 stars is that the shop is a little dark and eerie.... it's clean just outdated and small. This place deserves ALL the stars. Sarah and Shorty were so awesome!! Truly genuine with dope ass personalities. Randomly picked this shop because my friend wanted to get her ear cartilage pierced and we were in the area. I wasn't going to get anything but Sarah totally convinced me to get my septum done. I had been thinking about it for awhile anyway so I said yes ever so spontaneously. Shorty did mine and my friend's piercing. I got mine done first and lemme tell ya. I have never ever gotten a piercing done by someone so nice. My experience at other shops were shit compared to my experience here. I thought it would hurt like when I got my tragus done. But it didn't!! Shorty talks you through the procedure and explains what she's doing but also talks about other things so you're not focused on the fat ass needle that's about to go through your body. I came in to get my septum pierced based on the all the positive 5-star reviews on here. I figured I should add mine to the mix as well! I was pierced by Nick and he made the process extremely sterile, but quick and easy. Any nerves I had walking in were gone by the time he was piercing me. Peanut Butter Jon was there too and made the atmosphere light and humorous - bottom line, they're both such personable, down-to-earth guys with more than fair pricing and extremely sterile techniques, and I 100% recommend going here for any piercing! Such a wonderful experience! I got my septum pierced here (which he said he could do in his sleep...sweet!) and loved how he explained all the steps and what to expect, which is really the scariest part. Jon explained that the worst part is going to be the clamp (which it kind of was). The actual piercing obviously hurt, but it wasn't that bad. He answered all my questions (and I had a lot) and really catered to what I was asking for. I drove all the way from San Marcos to see Jon and I'm so glad I did. After the piercing, he gave me his card and said to text him anytime with any questions. Never had a piercer do that before! Extremely personable. Great price point as well ($40). I needed to get my ear lobes pierced again, as I've been having trouble getting earrings in the last couple of months. I found this place via Yelp, and called to see if they took walk-ins (which they do! Yay!) The experience was great. The gal at the front desk was super friendly. She told me it would cost $40 for both ears, and that included the jewelry. Excellent price, considering other shops were quoting $60 or higher. Come to find out I did not need to be pierced after all! Shorty, the woman who was on duty, told me she could use something else (I forget the name) to open my holes back up. I only had to pay for the jewelry once she was finished. Sweet deal!! $20 (plus tip) and I can wear earrings comfortably again. I highly recommend this shop. You won't be disappointed. read more

After worrying myself into a tizzy over my navel piercing this past week and a half, I popped in to consult a piercer since I was in the area. Was it infected? Was it rejecting? I had no idea and, after eight months of nursing the glacially slow healing process, I was worried I'd have to take it out and abandon the endeavor altogether. Enter Jon, piercing guru and, I'm almost certain, wizard. He knew where I'd got my piercing done originally, some hour and a half from this location, just by sight. You tell me that's not some kind of amazing prescience. He was kind and knowledgeable. Getting the piercing was fine. Quick and painless. But I went back to get the piercing changed (nose) from a stud to a hoop. The girl there said they are unable to bc if COVID which I understood even though it doesn't make much sense since y'all are still giving piercings. I wanted the smallest hoop possible. So she recommended a ring that was a bit different from the others and simply said "you just have to pinch it" well no it wasn't that simple. For one she gave me no other instructions and seemed uninterested in really helping me. While we were talking she would cut me off completely and answer the phone or walk around like I wasn't there. I went home thinking okay I guess it's that easy but no. It's not possible to simply pinch it. I needed pliers and since I had no idea what I was doing with little instruction I completely ruined the ring and my nose is now irritated and possibly infected. I can't take It off now bc apparently they can't do it and I can't do it without hurting myself. It's upsetting. I'm frustrated and wished that she guided me better since it does say on their pamphlet that it is recommended for the piercer to change it the first time around. read more

Long over due review forgot to post i came in to repierce a botched septum piercing from a different shop & had a great experience here. My piercer was very informative & I felt comfortable. Really safe & sanitary & she definitely knew what she was doing. My piercing is now in the right spot & she even flipped the piercing up for me when I asked her to unlike the previous one that the guy told me I couldn't move it bc & i should've said something before when really it was just impossible to put up bc it was too low. She even put a small ring which was really helpful and said I could come in later with my bigger one to get help switching it. Highly recommend. read more

Pretty good place for a cheap piercing. Read a lot of scary reviews about their aftercare instructions so I do my own thing, which is salt wash and a spray. I got my navel pierced about 5 days ago and it's a little red and hurts a little but it's fine overall. The place is SUPER small and has one piercing room, and it was very quiet. Also, my piercing is SLIGHTLY crooked but you can barely notice, but it is noticeable if you're close enough. Will update my yelp review if anything changes with my piercing! Overall, good for the price. read more

I have been here for two piercings, a naval (belly) piercing and an industrial piercing. Peanut Butter John did both of those, and he did a wonderful job. He made sure that I was relaxed before actually piercing my ear and belly. His work is done fast and simple, and amazing. I didn't quite get her name at the front desk, but she was great. She's very kind and does an amazing job at explain how to clean and keep your piercings healthy. Prices are also good. I got two cartilage piercings for $60. The piercings themselves honestly did not hurt at all, they hurt way less that my 8 previous piercings (all done with a gun). It was very quick and easy and they gave my friend and me thorough after care instructions. The piercer also gave us his card to call or text in case we had any worries or any further questions. The site of the piercings was obviously red and tender for the first day but after that, the only pain I felt was if I put pressure on it accidentally. If the piercings successfully heal over the next few months as well as they've been healing in the past few days I will definitely be going back for all future piercings! read more

This review is not meant to be malicious, I just want to share my experience in case there are other parents out there like me. My 11 year old daughter finally wanted to get her ears pierced and my first thought was that I didn't want some teeny-bopper at Claire's puncturing a hole in my daughter's ears. The reviews for this place were so great that I thought this would be a good place to go. No. It is really meant for adults that are getting things besides earlobes pierced. Our experience: We arrived a few minutes before 1pm and decided to wait until they opened, but at about 1:10pm, when they still hadn't opened, we decided to run a close by errand and come right back. We walked up at 1:30pm and it looked like a man was just opening the place. We walked up to the door AND THEN noticed the sign on the door that said minors need to have a birth certificate, a government issued ID, and the parent present. For ear piercings?! I walked in to ask the guy to verify that for me. The guy had really bloodshot eyes and looked like he was most likely high. I just asked the questions and he told me it'd be like that anywhere I went--and that it would be $40 to have it done there. Well, I am so glad we got the heck out of there. We went to Claire's and the woman did a fabulous job. I couldn't have been more pleased and it's a much better environment for young girls. I have no doubt this place will do a fantastic job if you are an adult looking to get something else pierced. read more

Went in maybe a week ago or so without an appointment. I wanted to see if I could schedule an appt for some other time since I was in the area and figured why not? Stepped in and came out with a new eyebrow piercing not even ten minutes later. Turns out, there was some free time before the next appt was scheduled.
