Went here on Friday night. Very busy plaza, the staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was ok, I had the scallop dinner and fries. First the fries were not crispy, they are fresh cut though. My scallops were ok some were perfect and some were tough. Not sure if they were previously breaded and frozen. My wife had the haddock fish and chips, the fish was great but the fries were fresh cut but not crispy what so ever. A little pricey but the beer was great. read more

Been here quite a few times. It's definitely a comfort food place, reminding me of the UK with the decor. The food is quite good and the service is usually really nice. Some of the food could be better quality, but the fish and chips and other British meals are quite decent. The import shop is a HUGE draw as well. read more

Had brunch here with some girlfriends and loved the true english pub feel upon entering. We were greeted immediately after we grabbed a booth in the corner. Being -16 the offering of hot chocolate with baileys was music to our ears. I ordered a steak and cheese wrap with fries and my girlfriend had a chicken ceaser wrap. I really enjoyed my fish and chips. I got cod and it was very well breaded and fluffy. The service was very nice as well The atmosphere seemed warm and cozy. Regulars were chatting happily at the bar while they watch their sports etc. read more

We always enjoy our meal at Rose & Crown. The fish is tasty and cooked just right whether it's broiled or battered. The price is reasonable and service is good. We prefer to sit in a booth because the seats along the side wall are a little close together. This has never stopped us from coming in at a busy time though. Beside the restaurant there is a take out counter with a small store offering lots of goodies. read more

Love the food and great service. Best liver and onions in town. Can be extremely busy at times but is worth the wait.

Today I stopped in with the boys (9 and 11) to share a plate of fries and to have a beer. Fries were great! but the service and the price just wasn't good. I had a Guinness and the boys each had a small pop and we shared the large fries. $30 later I asked our server if the $3.50 per pop was the right price on our bill. She said yes unfortunately it is, agreed that it was a bit crazy and that she didn't like it either. with the amount of pop in those little cups the beer is a way better deal. volume wise. I also felt like once we sat down and ordered we were kind of ignored after that..no check in...no would you like another drink..just the conversation when paying when I brought it up. Might have been cheaper to order the boys rum and cokes and hold the rum. Anyway..maybe mentioning it will make others think about it. we don't go out much so when we do it matters to us how things are. I have been going to R&C for many years now. it's the place i recommend when people want good fish and chips or a good pub when in that end of town. 2 stars says "meh" so for today's visit, if I'm being honest, I have to mark it as a 1 star. Good fries, but the rest was poor and I am disappointed enough to bother writing a review. And probably wouldnt stop in for a snack and a drink with the boys at this point. read more

Well I always enjoy the fish and chips but the customer service is something to be desired. Not once but twice the guy on the phone doesn't listen to my fish choice and when I show up they always make a big deal over their mistake. Someone should give them customer service training. Nice spot. Great fish and chips. Need to get new wine glasses and better selection of wine. No pino Grigio and wine served in small old glasses. Great serving staff! read more
