Very little flavor and the carrots and Brussels sprouts were under cooked and hard. 6. The Wagyu tenderloin- below average. There were more mushrooms than steak on the plate, and the balsamic compote was mediocre. 7. The salad that came out before the entrees was fine, not great but not terrible. 8. We finished with the crème brûlée which was also ok. Second best thing we ate. The main reason for such a low score was I had a massive headache after the dinner and went straight to bed. We made online reservations (just in case), and were seated promptly. Nathan R was out waiter and he did an exemplary job taking care of us. The place is beautifully decorated in a minimalist way, and we both enjoyed pouring over the menu (also somewhat minimalist in its offerings), but offered up some great choices nonetheless. We each had a beer from the adult beverage menu...and for dinner my wife ordered the Shrimp Scampi, and I had the special of the day...a Pork Tenderloin plate, both with salads. Both entrees and salads were de-lish. And Nathan also bought out a complimentary dessert to celebrate our 43rd...and the cheesecake was awesome. What a great place this turned out to be. The octopus was nicely chewy without being rubbery at all. And it was served with potatoes in a thin sauce that tasted like olive oil and paprika and onion. So good.
