The Pines was a delicious restaurant. I ate their gnocchi and it was amazing. It truly melts in your mouth. They make the dough fresh from scratch. This is the best gnocchi I've ever had. The baked Brie was a delicious appetizer that I really enjoyed. It had a nice smoky flavor. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very romantic and high-end. Our server was very attentive. The only downside to this restaurant is they only have two restrooms and I'm not a fan of the gravel parking lot.

We had a great experience here! The service was excellent, and Mike (our server) was attentive and friendly. The food was delicious across the board. My friends ordered the steak, and even as someone who is very picky, I was impressed. I ordered the Thai Coconut Halibut. It was great, but it could have used more sauce. I would get the Filet and Shrimp next time. We also shared the Parmesan Bread (amazing) & Pesto Escargot (good). The patio is super cute, but it was too cold to enjoy this time. I will definitely be back in the summer to sit outside! One of my friends ordered the Halibut special and did not enjoy it. The website has an old menu on it so I was a little disappointed when some of the items I saw on the website were not on the current menu. The website also does not have an alcohol menu on it so I wasn't sure if they had it. Update: they do.

Everything about this restaurant was superb! Service was excellent! Very fun atmosphere of an old home made into a restaurant.

The grounds are stunning, and the peacocks wandering around added such a charming, unexpected touch. But what truly made the night was our service team: Troy, Elizabeth, Zane, and Kingston. They were attentive, warm, and clearly took real pride in making our evening special. We are still dreaming about the food. The cocktails were fantastic, and the wine from their own vineyard was a genuinely lovely surprise, you can tell there's real craft behind it. I'll say this: no restaurant can save a marriage, but if any place could get close, it's this one. La Caille gave us an evening we won't forget. Highly recommend.

The restaurant itself is beautiful, as are the gardens and decor. We actually took a small tour of the building and grounds after dinner. It was lovely. Now for the food. The food was probably the leaps point of the night. Everything sounded delicious, but nothing really hit a home run for us. We got the beef bourguignon appetizer and the escargot. Both were good, but nothing amazing. The bread was okay, we got a side of gluten free bread that was actually excellent compared to the normal bread. We also got the lobster bisque, and it was also just okay. Beautifully plated, but actual flavor was underwhelming. Very little actual lobster and a bit too salty. We didn't finish it, if that tells you anything. We got the filet mignon as the entree and it too was underwhelming, especially for a 6 oz filet that cost $80. We asked for medium, and it came out much closer to rare. Flavor was okay, the sides that came with it were also okay. We didn't finish this plate either. We finished with two desserts. The baked Alaska, that had some sort of sorbet, a watermelon puree and some sponge cake. It was weird. A lot of textures and temperatures. Overall we didn't like it very much and didn't finish it. We also got the brûlée cheesecake, which was actually excellent compared to the rest of the meal. The cherries were delicious as was the cheesecake itself, and the brûlée on top gave a slightly different texture which was delicious. We'll be back, but more than anything for the ambience and overall experience, not necessarily the food.

Our server was great and hostess and valet were also great . That's what gave this experience the stars is the staff ... While the food was good quality and actually cooked by chefs and not just assembled from a Sysco truck, I was very underwhelmed because of the temperature of the food. I'm usually not the one in our family who cares most about this but with the "elevated dining" I expected more ... like warm food! It doesn't have to be hot but everything fireside was at best room-temperature. Then the dessert fondue was too runny and never formed a layer over what I was attempting to coat. Because of this I really debated between only two stars over three stars, but as I said the food is high quality and the presentation is cool, but the execution is majorly lacking. Especially with what is expected of Deer Valley and an elevated experience for $$$$. Also, there isn't a dress code, which is fine. Except one woman was dress in her ski underclothes and her Moonboots and that's it. I mean, clothes should be expected, not one step up from PJs or sweats. And I do understand this is a family restaurant, I have kids. Kids can go to the buffet alone and behave like they're in a restaurant, but kids were playing tag and running around and hanging off people's tables that weren't their parents; I know the restaurant can't control kids, but a manager should be able to inform people of this disturbance. Or maybe it should be deemed as family dining and not an elevated experience because of elevated I'd expect to enjoy the time without someone else's kids checking out what's on my plate. The ClifsNotes: Elevated experiences should have warm food, people in clothing, and behaved/monitored kids.

A huge thank you to Galen and the entire team at Le Depot in Park City…read more They hosted our family for a graduation dinner of ten on Friday night, and the evening was exceptional from start to finish. The food was outstanding and the service was first class. Diet Coke isn't on their menu, but when they learned it mattered to our group, they special-ordered it in advance so we'd have it on hand. That kind of thoughtfulness to detail represents true hospitality. Galen and team, we're grateful. Thank you for making a milestone evening one our family won't forget. Justin

Service can be slow and the food is unmistakenly Provençal: Beef tartar (nice mustard notes), Saffron Muscles, and Pressed Chicken. All dishes were light and authentic flavors to the region of Provence -- I think we just like other French regions better. HITS: Cocktails; Bread; Poulette (presents as a salad served on pressed chicken) MISSES: The muscles were dry - served in a small puddle of saffron beurre blanc. Service and a remarkable lack of knowledge by our waiter made Le Depot feel more like Le Dope. From the drink menu to the ingredients and preparation of some dishes, the waiter didn't possess some basic knowledge. Maybe we just asked "really hard" questions? The bar for service in PC has been set high by surrounding establishments like Handel, River Horse and Fletcher's, where the waitstaff is knowledgeable and helpful .. this was the lasting memory from Le Depot.
