I recently dined at Courchevel Bistro and had a mixed experience overall. Our favorite dish of the night was definitely the crab soufflé. It was beautifully executed -- light, airy, and packed with layers of flavor that came together really well. Each bite felt delicate yet rich, and it easily stood out as the highlight of the meal. We also ordered the bisque de champignon, which had a nice creamy texture and earthy mushroom base, but it unfortunately lacked seasoning and could have used more salt to really bring out the flavors. The moules frites were fairly average. The mussels themselves were fine, but the broth was the typical wine-garlic base without much depth or uniqueness. The fries were disappointing -- they arrived cold and had an old, reheated taste. We had the arctic char bouillabaisse. The bouillabaisse broth was fantastic -- fragrant, flavorful, and clearly the star of the dish. However, the arctic char itself was overcooked, which was a bit of a letdown given how good the broth was. We were seated at the "chef's table," which sounds a bit more exclusive than it actually is. It's essentially the bar seating directly in front of the kitchen. While it's interesting to watch the kitchen in action, the space was packed and quite loud, so it's not the best choice if you're looking for a quiet or romantic dinner. Overall, there were some standout elements -- especially the crab soufflé and the bouillabaisse broth -- but a few inconsistencies in the dishes and atmosphere kept the experience from being exceptional. read more

4.5 stars. Came to Courchevel Bistro on Christmas Eve with family and it was a great experience. I thought the entrees were well-made (though the meats could've been a little more tender) and the appetizers were absolutely delicious! What we ordered: + Baked Brie [5/5] -- Comes with the most delicious side of salad. The texture of the brie is baked to perfection. + French Onion Soup [5/5] -- No complaints. Perfect heaping of cheese. Soup was delicious and had a great mouthfeel of onion and bread. + Bibb Lettuce [5/5] -- Fresh and citrusy. Great fresh greens to offset the heaviness of the entrees. + Bouillabaisse [4.5/5] -- Very impressive bouillabaisse, though I was expecting the flavor to be a little richer. + Short Rib [4.5/5] -- The seasonal vegetables in this dish were perfectly crunchy. I thought the short rib could've been a little more tender, but it was still good. + Steak & Frites Ribeye [4.5/5] -- I wish this came with more fries, and the steak wasn't as tender as I was hoping it would be, but it's still very delicious. The sauce really made the dish come together. Service was amazing. Very attentive, very large staff-to-diner ratio, and very friendly and patient. They gave off fine-dining vibes without the haughtiness. At one point, the chef even gave us an extra dish because they didn't like the quality of the brie cheese. We were already pretty happy with the dish but that experience really represents how high Courchevel Bistro's expectations are even for themselves! My only complaint would be that a lot of the dishes were really salty. Our entire table went through around 4-5 glasses of water each to offset the seasoning. I myself have an more salt-heavy palette, so I was pretty surprised. Would come back to try the dishes and experience the great service again. Sadly disappointing first time at the famed Courchevel. Had long heard locals speculate it's a top 2 or 3 restaurant in Old Town Park City. Our meal tonight would not crack any of the top 10. We must have waited close to 45 minutes for entrees. Had to ask multiple times. 10 minutes for a refilled glass of wine. If you insist on ordering the entire meal at once so the kitchen can properly space it all out and serve (as we were told) then you better have food out in a timely manner, at minimum. From what I could tell, there were maybe 2 servers working the entire indoor AND patio seating area. And this is on the Saturday night of the Arts Festival, what would widely expected to be on one of the busier Saturdays of the year. As for the food itself, the arctic char carpaccio and raclette cheese app were the crowd pleasers. The boullabaise lacked flavor and the duck was underwhelming for the same reason. Wow! My new favorite Restraunt in Main Street! We've been wanting to try this place forever and usually when you build up the hype for a place it does not always live up to the high expectations. Lucky for us this place was above & beyond both in terms of service and food! A welcoming French inspired restaurant with both indoor and outdoor seating. The hostess, and servers were all wonderful. Everyone worked so well together as a team. I was very impressed! The food was exquisite! The stuffed zucchini blossoms were delicious and the best I've ever had. The onion tarte was our favorite appetizer. The ravioli was delicious with a sweet and savory sauce. The chicken was not my favorite but still decent. The steak was amazing & the zucchini au gratin was packed with flavor! We are all excited to return and explore more of the menu! I highly recommend trying the beignets. Absolutely a 5 star experience from beginning to end! The restaurant was very accommodating to a last minute guest count adjust we had the night before due to one person in our family not feeling well. The day of our reservation we easily found street parking around the corner. Upon check in to the restaurant we were seated right away in an area that we were the only ones there. It felt like a private dinner and the ambiance was very nice for the most part as others didn't get seated in that area until about half way through our meal. For appetizers we both wanted the french onion soup, however I knew I couldn't finish a whole portion so I asked if it were possible for us to split one instead. Our waiter was more than accommodating was greatly appreciated. We actually had a nice chat with the waiter as he had grown up in LA (where we are from) and had some interesting stories to share. For the main dishes we got fish and veal. Both of which came out in amole time and were flavored so wonderfully. The veal was cooked to a perfect temperature and was accompanied by fantastic sides. The fish was savory and also had great sides. Both dishes were very filling so we barely could split one dessert afterwords. However the apple beignets intrigued us and I am glad we gave them a try. Overall everything was perfect from the service to the food and the hospitality. This was our last meal in the city and I am already looking forward to being back. read more

The next best thing about a family reunion is delicious food. Our yearly family gathering centers around catching up; and of course, food is usually the topic of heated debate. Where, what and when to eat takes months of planning. Yeah, we obnoxiously argumentative about it as if we're foodies. This is the place to go to and shut down everyone's opinions about what to eat. Our menu is awesome...it has everything we wanted and more. Since there were 22 of us, with some of us are strict vegetarian, vegan, pescatarian,etc. The horrors of this genetic chaos is every chef's nightmares...All in all, the dishes were brought out at a steady pace to allow time for plenty of chit chat and chow-down. I can't remember how I managed to eat and breathe at the same time lol. But the calories were adequately stored in my belly for days to come. I've been to Courchevel once before (last ski season) and it was so incredible, I knew it had to be our first stop upon our return to Park City. I LOVE a chef's counter and if you do too, this is a great restaurant to choose. The bar seats sat up against a glassed off kitchen and we got to watch all the action. Our server Louis, from Argentina, was super knowledgeable about the menu and was a pure delight to chat with. His girlfriend (Natalia I believe?) works there as well and was a sweetheart. Ask Louis about his nickname. We couldn't decide on a wine until Bill, the sommelier, came and helped us pick out a beautiful bottle. He also helped me pick out a digestif after dinner that I was VERY pleased with! Ask for the Amaro Rabarbaro! All the food was amazing - house bread, venison, arctic char, even the salad was outstanding! The dessert was an absolute standout too - huckleberry clafoutis - similar to a crème brûlée but somehow even better. The huckleberry tartness paired with the creamy dessert was perfection. I cannot recommend this place enough. Cost-wise, it was around $400 for the two of us, but that included a nice bottle of wine as well. Very nice restaurant with great upscale dining selections. We arrived a little early for our reservations and waited just a little bit while they found a open table. Tables were clean and well spaced. Wait staff kept drinks filled well all meal. The food selections were varied and all delicious. White fish, Elk loin, duck and Frites with fillet all came out very nicely plated and were all excellent. Had the crozets as an appetizer (not what I thought it was going to be, but then again I didn't look into it enough and didn't ask) and it was also very good and flavorful. Would recommend for a nice "fancy" dinner. Prices were not too bad either for an upscale meal in a nice restaurant. read more

Located in the center of Main Street - fresh local dishes For starters I would highly recommend the local Park City Baked Brie Served with the stone fruit marmalade, crostini, and apples.in addition to the French onion soup. For main course we enjoyed the herb and cheese ravioli served with the arugula pesto and tomato confit. short rib out of country France and the expertly prepared ultra tender and juicy pork chop is not to be missed. The pork chop was the favorite of the night served with farcement potatoes, brussel sprouts, and a juniper jus. I would highly recommended all the dishes we tried let alone Courchevel. The space is beautiful, warm and welcoming, try the chef counter to watch the excitement. A must try is their Baked Brie, warm brie inside a delicate Puff Pastry with homemade marmalade along with a row of sliced crostini was the bomb! Other notable mentions were the Mussels, Duck, Pork Chop but the Short Rib was a standout for me so juicy and the flavors were just amazing. The place had a wonderful ambience. Sorry for such a low rating, but the food was not good for the price. Our server did a fine job and even recommended an excellent wine that was not the most expensive on the menu. We appreciated that very much. After we stated our dissatisfaction with the meal in general, the manager offered several times to either cook another steak or provide a dessert. However, an additional steak prepared in the same manor would not solve the issue. My steak was cooked to the requested medium rare but was very under seasoned, as was the accompanying potato dish. The primary offense however was the bernaise sauce, because of the sweetness. I asked if that was indeed the intended flavor and was assured it was. Bernaise is piquant and savory, not sweet. My husband's chicken dish was good, but again, the accompanying vegetables were very under seasoned. As my husband said, it was the poorest $200.00 dinner we have experienced. read more

What could I say about this out of the ballpark establishment. From the moment I walked in to the last bite of my apple beignets, with the boudin noir without omitting the delicious fries in duck fat. Every plate was so nicely presented and the flavors were spot on. If I'm going to pay nearly $200 for a meal, it needs to be banging on all cylinders and this one just didn't, unfortunately. Everything was good, but not great. None of the dishes made me feel like I had to come back again because they were so amazing. Our service was great; very nice guy but everything else was just average. Short rib itself was great but the flavors of everything else in the dish were kind of bland. The duck confit pasta was very sparing on the sauce. And the Apple beignets would've been better without the apples. The Apples were too bitter for the sweet dish, IMO. We went to this restaurant 3 or 4 years ago and enjoyed it much more then, unfortunately. When we visited a couple weeks ago, the atmosphere was not as cozy and some rearrangement or remodeling had been done. We were seated at the bar, but tucked into the corner by the wall. There wasn't a lot of room, and as charming as it might seem to have a front-row view of the kitchen happenings, I did not enjoy it. Behind the glass pane directly in front of us, there were some assorted jars of sauces and other toppings that weren't exactly appetizing to have in view; I wouldn't recommend the bar. They used to have high top tables from which you could glimpse what was going on in the kitchen; that was perfect, but these tables have been replaced with regular height dining tables. It was an expensive dinner, and although the food was as delicious as I remember it, the atmosphere wasn't worth it. We felt somewhat rushed by the server, which wasn't all that pleasant. Edit to add: just read another review mentioning that 20% service charge is automatically added to the bill, of which we were not aware. This is frustrating, considering we were not exceptionally impressed by the service and still tipped what turned out to be an *additional 20%*.... read more

Not a cheap meal, but definitely a high quality meal. We loved the baked brie-- not only did it have beautiful presentation, but also tasted amazing and was a good portion size. The wine and cocktails were also quite delicious. I had a seafood stew and it was yummy-- slightly too lemony for my taste but I still enjoyed it. We had the huckleberry tart and it was a little underwhelming so we won't order that again, but all the other food was great and our server gave really good service. Total fail - albeit very tasty and well made New Years Eve prix-fix menu, it took two hours before the main course was served. We came in early with our kids, expecting a nice, yet somewhat swift three-course dinner. Instead we - along with most of the rest of the dining room - kept staring at each other hoping the whole ordeal would just end. It's inexcusable to let your guests wait for 30 minutes before the wine was poured...and to make matters worse - if you want to consider yourself an establishment for fine dining, maybe skip the cheesy 90's musical playlist...and maybe lower the volume a couple decibels. I mean, "Eye of the Tiger"...really? The service was great - the wait staff did everything they could until all they could do was stay away bc the kitchen just couldn't keep up. You should take a long hard look at your overall presentation. Not what we expected for a $500+ dinner (with two kids). Do better. read more
