I paid $130 for flowers that would be $40 in the store. Shortly after posting the above review, I received a text message to my phone number from the owner. She was not reaching out to make it . She was reaching out to complain about my review. I felt that that was inappropriate. The work speaks for itself.

I could tell by her warm personality and passion for her job, that she truly cares about the work she does. Lisa is excellent and prompt with her communication and her prices are fair. I got a floral arrangement, 5 Boutonnières, a bridal bouquet, 6 (mini) bridesmaid bouquets, and a free throw bouquet all for under $800. I read in previous reviews that florals received look almost nothing like inspiration photos sent to her. My bridal bouquet looked sad. I was so disappointed because I thought it would be more full, but it contained more greenery than actual flowers. There was an attempt at the cascading look but really it just looked like a random long, piece of greenery hanging out. There was also one very oversized white rose that just looked so out of place and awkward. I liked the bridesmaids bouquets more than my own and even those had way too much greenery too. The groomsmen Boutonnières looked like they were for like a teenager; the rose bud was so tiny. All I requested was a white rose and some greenery. And then the groom's was supposed to be a little bigger than the groomsmen and she ended up using 2 daisy looking flowers. I even went back to my invoice and it indicates a rose for the groom's so I don't know why she used what she did. I'm going through my wedding photos and I'm honestly embarrassed, especially of my bridal bouquet. The only thing I truly liked was the floral arrangement that went on the gazebo, which I was relieved about because I was most nervous about that one and it was the most expensive piece. An issue we had was that it only came with 2 zip ties so we had a hard time installing it on the gazebo and got lucky our venue had extra zip ties. Why so stingy with zip ties? She provided a lot of loose garland and so I was confused why we couldn't get a few more zip ties. I don't regret using this business but I would not recommend to others.

We met Lisa at her home studio, and got straight to work figuring out what pieces we would need and what they should look like. As a bride and groom who walked into this meeting with a barely formed idea of what flowers we might want at our wedding, we walked away with a vision for the entire wedding in our heads and a contract signed with Designworks Florals. Up until the point of meeting with Lisa, we had only booked the venue, the food and I had purchased my dress and picked the colors of my bridesmaid dress - nothing had been chosen with a particular theme in the mind, and there was a very real chance that our wedding would have been an assortment of mismatched pieces that just didn't fit together.. Her knowledge of our venue, attention to the details of my dress and the colors of my bridesmaids dresses along with my suggestion of succulents all came together like I had been working on a vision board for the wedding for the last year. She knew exactly what would work, and this was over 9 months before our wedding. Leading up to the wedding, Lisa checked in regularly and worked with me to amend our wedding vision and materials required as necessary. Every email had a cheerful tone and was ended with a smiley face. As most brides know, planning a wedding can be stressful, and any amount of positivity and support can go a long way. Email exchanges with Lisa always made my day. The day of our wedding, we were absolutely blown away by all of the florals and little details provided by Designworks Florals. Lisa went above and beyond the things that were detailed in our quote. There were so many extras that I was not expecting that just made every corner, every nook and cranny of our ceremony and reception sites feel like were a part of the larger vision of our wedding. From the largest arrangements to the smallest of boutonnieres everything was perfect. I would not have changed a single thing. Five stars. They lasted four days, hence the two star review. I am so disappointed I was not able to enjoy them for even a week. Normally a couple will droop or die and can be pulled to save the arrangement but when I woke up yesterday morning EVERY SINGLE ROSE was collapsed - and most of the lilies too. They had loved working with Donna and I must say, I do too! From the start, Donna was very hands on and communicative. I sent over a mood board with my vision and possibilities for the wedding. We hopped onto a phone call so that she could better understand what I had wanted. I love that she is so attentive and really wants to understand what we wanted. Donna is more comfortable being able to call and talk though concepts versus email! Although I'm a bit more shy with phone calls, this was really helpful because I could better communicate and answer her questions. She was also open to changes and any additions to the original order! They were also really reasonable with cost.
