Immediately they told us they could replace the baseboard. They provided us with several options. After choosing a baseboard, Santos Mechanical quickly ascertained the parts, removed the old unit, and replaced the new unit and parts. They worked efficiently, maintained a neat working environment, and completed the job with functionality and an excellent appearance. In addition to the replacement of the unit, our entire system had to be drained. After completing the replacement Santos Mechanical had to refill our entire system which has two different phases. They had to be in our entire house where they carefully moved furniture when necessary. They were very careful to cleanup as they went from room to room. They are very trustworthy and considerate of our home. The price was very reasonable and the estimate reflected the final costs of the entire repair.

I got up for work at 03:00 am on Tuesday July 14 only to find out I had know hot water to shower. The oil pump was tripped out. I pushed the reset and it tripped again. So i turn the power off to the oil burner and left a not for my wife that we had no hot water when she would get up two hours later for work. I left work early to meet the technician around 17:39. He was in the basement for 5 -10 minutes. He came up and said we need to replace the heater for around $10,000. He stated it is twenty years old and would probably spend around $4000 - $6000 to rebuild the pump and other miscellaneous work. He said they could have some here Wednesday July 15 @ 09:00 to give me a estimate for a replacement and work out financing. After he left I decide to get a second opinion and call Aram Ecker who had replaced my water supply line to the house over a year ago. Aram showed up around 08:55 to take a look at the oil burner. He disassembled the pump and other stuff and cleaned it all. He got it fired back up and running. He was here only 1 hour and 30 minutes. This cost me $225.00. I learned a good lesson today.

I selected Drainman because of the strong ratings on Yelp, and I was very happy with the outcome of the repair. Mike Ammouri, the very friendly and knowledgeable owner, came to our home to diagnose the problem on a Sunday... which was amazing in itself. Mike went through a series of troubleshooting tests to determine that the pressure in the old part of our house was fine. He also looked at the plumbing lines going into the new part of the house where the upstairs shower and sink are located, and he reported that everything looked fine. That left the water tank itself. He went upstairs with me and we conducted a few tests and he then concluded that our water holding tank was too small, thereby causing the pump to cycle on and off. It was during those cyclings that we were experiencing the severe drop down in water flow. He came out on a Sunday, provided what seemed to be an accurate diagnosis, he charged me nothing, and he's going to provide a quote for the work. On top of that, I got a new showerhead thrown in for free.

Poor accountability post job…read more Stand behind your workmanship when a customer reports a concern at the time of installation instead of relying solely on an expired labor warranty years later. If a newly installed fixture does not function correctly before the technician leaves, ensure the issue is fully resolved rather than assuring the customer it will "adjust" over time. Clearly explain and document parts and labor warranty terms in writing before the work begins. Finally, recommend only the repairs that are necessary. In my case, the original faucet had functioned properly for nearly 27 years, yet the entire hose bib assembly was replaced to address a cracked copper pipe. I relied on that professional recommendation, but the replacement faucet never shut off properly from the day it was installed. Greater accountability, better quality control, and stronger post-installation support would have prevented this experience.
