I had an emergency sewage problem and TLC had a man at my house on Saturday night with a camera to see what the problem was.

I had a new build and Ray and his crew came out to do all the plumbing from start to finish and did…read morean amazing job! Always discussed options, never felt like they were trying upsell and in fact thought they were trying to save me money when possible. Crew was friendly and communicative. Annamaria who scheduled everything was always pleasant and professional. Highly recommend!!!!

I hired Ray Ross Plumbing to replace a simple tub/shower valve and spout, and they turned a working…read morebathroom into a nonstop headache. Initially I needed to fix a very stiff bathtub handle. There was no leak at all before their work. Immediately afterward, the new spout started dripping every 3 minutes, and the hot and cold handles stopped working independently--turning the hot off would also kill the cold, which is completely wrong for a two‑handle tub. I contacted them repeatedly. They came back twice. The first time they flushed it and said there was debris in the O ring and it 100% fixed. It was not. I had to wait another week to have them come back they swapped out the cartridges, but the problems never went away. I had to document everything on video, time the drips myself, and basically do the diagnostic work they should have done. Another contractor has since told me it's very likely they overheated and damaged the new valve during installation (for example, soldering with rubber parts still inside), which would explain the drip and the crossover. In other words, their work likely ruined the brand‑new valve they installed. Despite multiple chances, they have not fixed what they broke, and I've now had to shut off water to the tub and pay a different plumber nearly $1,000 to rip out and replace the whole valve and spout just to get back to a functioning bathroom. I would never recommend this company--if anything goes wrong with their work, be prepared to fight to be heard, do your own documentation, and hire someone else to clean up the mess.

MONTCO Rooter - Outrageous pricing

I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1 only because the company came out quickly both times, and the…read moresecond field tech was professional and easy to work with. Unfortunately, the overall experience was frustrating. I had a blockage in my sewer line from the house to the street that caused my yard vent to overflow. On the first visit, they snaked the drain and restored flow. However, the tech told me in person that he did not clear the line all the way to the street -- only about 10 feet past the clog. He assumed the blockage was wipes based on what had overflowed, though he wasn't able to pull anything out of the line. We have not used wipes in the three years we've lived here. It's possible prior owners did, but that's speculation. He did not document that the line wasn't cleared to the street, but since they advertise a 30-day warranty, I didn't push the issue. For reference, I was charged about $800 for that initial visit, which feels high for a straightforward snaking with no camera inspection or confirmation that the line was fully cleared. They also would not provide even a ballpark price before coming out, which should have been a red flag. About 10 days later, the line backed up again -- still within the warranty window. When I called to schedule a follow-up, the person on the phone was extremely confrontational. He said that if they found wipes again, I would automatically be charged. He insisted the wipes previously found were "fresh," despite having no proof and despite me explaining we do not use wipes. It felt like I was being accused of lying. When I referenced that their own tech told me the line wasn't cleared to the street the first time -- and that the clog may have simply been pushed downstream -- I was told, "Why do customers tell us we don't do our job properly?" The tone was unprofessional and unnecessary. I remained calm and simply explained I didn't want to pay again for something that may not have been fully resolved the first time, especially SINCE IT WAS WITHIN WARRANTY. Ultimately, they did return and clear the line at no charge, though they voided the remainder of the warranty. Honestly, I'm not sure if he legally could void my warranty, but I was so happy to just be done with them that I didn't care. While I appreciated the second technician's work, the hostile communication, lack of transparency on pricing, and accusatory tone mean I won't be using them again. Quick response times don't make up for terrible customer service and unclear pricing. I hope this helps others.

I am writing to express my disappointment with the sewer drain service I received on Friday, July…read more17, 2026. I was charged $699 for the drain snaking service, plus an additional $88 for a RootX treatment, for a total of $837 with tax and a 3% credit card fee. Before the technician began the work, I specifically informed him that during my previous service with your company, I had been told the blockage was approximately 80 feet down the line. I explained that the previous technician had to snake the drain to 80 feet to clear it successfully. Despite this information, the technician only snaked the line to 50 feet and assured me the blockage had been cleared and that everything was working properly. Unfortunately, within just two days, my toilet began overflowing again. I called the emergency number the technician provided and explained that the issue had returned almost immediately after the service. I was told that the work was not guaranteed and that roots can grow back "thicker and quicker." While I understand that recurring root intrusion is possible, it is extremely difficult to believe that roots could return and completely clog the line again in only two days. This strongly suggests that the original blockage was not fully cleared. To make matters worse, I was then told I would need to pay nearly $300 to have the line snaked again or approximately $700 for another service that included a camera inspection. After spending over $800just days earlier, I do not believe it is reasonable to expect me to pay again for what appears to be an incomplete service. I have been a customer of your company before, which is why I trusted your team to resolve this issue correctly. I am simply asking that the service be completed properly and that this matter be handled fairly.
