Terrible customer service. They refuse to take responsibility after breaking off part of my curb while working on my neighbors house. While fixing an issue at my neighbors across the street they drive their equipment over my curb and sidewalk. When I called and let them know they told me that they spoke with the workers who never even came over to my house. They said it was not them. I told them that I had ring doorbell footage of them breaking it. They have since given me the run around. I can't get anyone to assist me. I am told a manager will call me that was over a month ago. I had these guys out in December to clear a clogged main line. Was told there was a 12 month warranty. Their site showed an $83 drain clearing special, or it was free. Well they got here and said it would be $550 to remove the toilet and clear the line. (what happened to $83?) I questioned this and the tech made a call and it was stated that the best they could do was $325. if I (as an invalid), removed the toilet. Well I needed to get it done so I succumbed. The hot water pipe on top of the hot water heater was leaking. I reached out to TLC which I used them before to install a water softener. Technician Tyler came out on Friday afternoon and since the hot water is about 9 years old, he recommended that we replaced it. Tyler contacted the office and was able to stop by the plumbing supplier to pick up the hot water heater. Since I did not want to wait until Monday without water for the weekend, he was able to get the approval to install it on Saturday. Tyler and his partner, Sean, were working together to install a new and removed a 80 gallon old ones i and out of the basement. They were very professional and knowledgeable, very nice to work with. They also left the place very clean. I will request Tyler in the future for my plumbing issues. read more

If I could give ZERO stars I would. RUN AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY - DO NOT USE THEM!!! We called them to check our front sewage drain for a blockage. Their technician "Kenny" came out and said we needed $8,325 worth of work, i.e., replacement of the house trap because it was collapsed. He didn't show my husband the video, or explain anything of how he came up with the notion that the trap was collapsed. He just left his piece of paper and said his boss would call us the next day about scheduling the work. Since they did not show my husband the video, I called and requested the video and then sent that video to another plumber who looked at it. That plumber told me THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH MY HOUSE TRAP! There are two theories at work here (1) This company does not properly train their employees in how to work with customers. Kenny should have showed my husband the video and should have provided a full explanation, which he did not. That falls on him and the management for not giving the proper training. (2) This company is out to scam consumers! I believe because I am a woman, they thought they could scam me, that I would just go with what they said and pay them $8,325. Well, guess what, I am not someone to be taken advantage of!! I get second opinions!!!! Also, be aware that In their estimates, they do not include the cost to replace your sidewalk, so be prepared to shell out more money to put in a new sidewalk. I am conflicted, leaving this review. When I called TLC, we had a sewer back up on our front lawn after four days of the temperature being in the teens. I called them frantic and explained the situation. They came out within two hours, and Brandon, he was very nice, fixed the back up by snaking the drain in about 20 minutes. He spoke to my husband and told him that we had proper water flow but just to make sure everything was OK, they were going to send out a technician for free the next day with a camera to check the sewer pipe just to be sure. We never requested this service. I was just happy that the sewage was flowing properly again. I was also pretty sure that the back up was caused by freezing temperatures. Sure enough, the next day the technician showed up with the camera and put it through our pipe quickly. We could hardly tell what was going on. At certain points he slowed the camera down and claimed there were roots starting to grow through our pipe. He said that someday, possibly we may get another Backup because of that. He said that they could fix the problem for $16,000. He told my husband that they would come out tomorrow. He acted like it was an absolute emergency. He scared the living hell out of my husband. Luckily I was watching on the Ring camera and I called my husband on the phone and had him put me on speaker. I shut the entire conversation down. We did have a root problem in our first home and I know what that's like. This is not that. When Brandon came out and snaked the pipe, he didn't come up with roots and dirt. I was extremely happy with TLC drain and sewer but when they came out the second day and tried to screw us out of $16,000 , I became not so happy. Just a reminder to everyone, this is a scam! We called TLC for a clog in our system after our plumber recommended them. Service man Nick Campion came out the next day and after much investigating, found the clog in one of our drains outside (large house). He was very knowledgable, friendly, and determined to fix the problem. Unlike other companies, there was one fixed fee no matter how many hours the service took. This is my second time using TLC professional plumbing service. Once again, I was very pleased with the work that was done. I had an old toilet removed and a new model installed. Conor S was a polite worker. He put down dropcloths as well as wore shoe coverings to protect my floor. He took care to clean the old rust build-up that was underneath the old toilet. He moved through the installation with skilled preciseness. He completed the work within 1 1/2 hours and that included clean-up, checking to make sure everything was working, and addressing all of my questions as I observed the entire installation. read more

Unreliable. I reached out to TLC Plumbing, Heating, & Cooling because I wanted to go with a local company. I made an appointment with TLC Plumbing on a Monday for Wednesday, which was a time they had available. I received an appointment text and confirmed it. Ten minutes before the appointment window, they called and said they wanted to schedule an appointment for two or three days out with no explanation of why the current appointment was being rescheduled. Scheduled the second appointment for Thursday between 3-5 (their time again) received a text that said 4-6 (?) and confirmed it. Got home by 3. Waited until 4:30 to call to confirm they were coming. A gentleman said he'd reach out to the dispatcher. 5:00 - I called to confirm they were coming. A gentleman said he'd reach out to the dispatcher. Here's a shock. 5:30 - I called to confirm they were coming. A woman said he'd reach out to the dispatcher. In the end, no call back. After seeing their add for an $88 (or somewhere in that price point), drain cleaning, I called them for a clogged sink. Conor showed up and was very nice. He informed me that if he couldn't take care of the problem, that someone else would be out to fix the issue. He came equipt with a 30 foot snake and snakes my kitchen sink. This did not work. I was then charged $225 and nothing was fixed. I then received a call from their office saying that they could be out the same day, with a longer snake to fix the problem. That woukd cost my me $495, of course removing the original $225. I told them that $495 sounded a little steep to unclog a drain. ultimately I rented a 50 foot snake from Home Depot and did it myself. Not sure why they don't have longer snakes for the original visit, but I'll. ever use these Bozo's again. Do it yourself and save $450! They just want your money! read more

We have had a plumbing issue since may 21. TLC dispatched a tech immediately and he was onsite within hours. That part was great. Unfortunately, he found that we have a broken waste pipe and they would need to schedule an excavation crew. On may 23 we were told that the technician was new and they were sending a more experienced technician to resolve the issue. They then dispatched the same tech. He was onsite within hours again and again determined that the pipe was broken and needed an excavation crew. 3 days without working sewer. Two days later, we were still waiting for a plan. We were told they were waiting for the insurance company to approve. Turns out they still had not sent a proposal for review. They assured me that would be submitted by noon Wednesday. Fast forward to Friday May 27th still no proposal submitted, still no working sewer, still no plan. We were constantly assured we were being expedited only to find out nothing was done. FOUR days later 12 days with no working sewer, we are informed they had an emergency call over the weekend and are backed up. I was told that these jobs typically take 2 weeks to schedule. Although we are almost at the two week mark the two weeks evidently doesn't start for the first week. Still no working sewer, still no schedule, but still being told they are expediting. I have little faith this will improve as it moves forward. Shame we already lost 12 days waiting for an answer read more

My daughter and her husband recently purchased their first home, 10 days after settlement they realized that none of the drains in their home were draining properly, they also found the toilet in the main bath to be leaking. We called several plumbers, all of whom let us know that the problem was much bigger than any of us realized. The plumbing issues were with the main line of the home, it was likely that the whole front of the house would need to be excavated. Panicking, we reached out to TLC for an estimate. They quickly put us at ease, explaining their pipe-bursting process, answering any questions that we had patiently, and best of all assuring us that they would not have to excavate the front of the home. This is just the beginning of the story. This team went above and beyond the call of duty! The ran into problem after problem and what was supposed to be a one day job, turned into over a week. Every day they were met with a new problem, and they handled each issue professionally and expertly. When they were finally ready to perform the pipe burst, they ran into yet another problem with cement in the line, the team looked just about as defeated as we did, as they knew that it was more than likely that they would have to dig up the front of the home to access the blockage. They told us that they would try their hardest to avoid this and came back the next day more determined than ever, which resulted in success! I cannot stress enough how dedicated this company is to their customers, they should be commended for outstanding customer service, as well as a dedication to their profession. A 2" lead ball accidentally rolled into a drainpipe that drains our back yard and roof. This happened a day before storms were predicted to unleash flooding. I called TLC drain at 9 AM, and the receptionist immediately classified my call as an emergency and promised to send out a person to my home by 10 a.m. He said I would get a call ahead of time. The call came, and the person (Mike) arrived before 10 a.m. The lead ball must have weighed 3 or 4 pounds, and I was pessimistic that anything could extricate it. Mike did the impossible. After experimenting with several approaches that combined a fiber optic camera with a powerful shop vac, he modified the end of the shop vac tube with a soft rubber ring. The ring created a seal around the ball, and the suction of the shop vac enabled him to pull the ball out of the pipe. read more

We had a problem with a toilet leaking in our basement. We were referred to TLC Drain and Sewer and called them. They came out the next day and while they were able to find the cause of our original problem, ended up flooding our kitchen by not properly reinstalling pipes under our kitchen sink and then leaving the water running for a prolonged period to test, which then leaked down and saturated our newly finished basement as well. They did find the cause of our original problem, but then created many more problems for us and yet still charged us hundreds of dollars for their service despite creating thousands of dollars worth of damage to our home. I had an emergency sewage problem and TLC had a man at my house on Saturday night with a camera to see what the problem was. TLC found out that it was my sewage pipe and it was broke right outside of my house. They did the paperwork for the insurance company quickly. The insurance approved the work to be done on Monday and my job was started at 8:30 am Tuesday Morning. I am so happy that I went through them. Follow-up: I am at my wits end with TLC. They seemed great but after we spent thousands to have them replace our main sewer line, they have refused to call us back to explain why we got a major back up following their main line replacement and to come back to properly support a pipe that's currently supported by a toolbox they took from our basement. We had a plumber out for another reason who told us the pitch in the pipe is wrong and will lead to more back-ups in the future. I can't believe we spent so much money for this and will continue to have the same issue. I have called 4-5 times over the past few months to ask them to at least come back to add a proper support to the pipe. I speak to the same receptionist every time, and then there is radio silence. My husband got one call back and they said they'd come back this week, but we have heard nothing. We now feel stuck with a system that will continue to back up and a pipe that's not properly supported (and a lost tool). They have a great sales pitch in the beginning and then apparently just abandon their customers once they have the money. read more

We have had TLC come twice with positive experiences both times- once to our old house (drain needed to be scoped and cleared of branches), and again today at our new house. We had sewage backing up into our basement- our plumber was able to determine where there was a blockage, but not what it was. We called TLC on a Sunday and they were able to schedule someone to come Monday morning. Aaron came out today to run a camera down. He was friendly and professional, and quickly discovered a metal spring lodged in the pipe. He wasn't sure if he could get it out (meaning we would have to dig through our finished basement to get to it- which would have been expensive and a huge inconvenience), but he was willing to try and got it out! Had a sewer line clog in my rental property and these guys came to the rescue. Erin was excellent, professional and very reasonable. Make sure to ask for Erin if possible!!! Used the hydro jet to clean the line clogged with tree roots and hopefully don't have to worry this for a long time. I am also applying the root killer as suggested by Erin to make it even better and stop the roots from expanding rapidly. Very happy with the service (better than the regular plumber who wanted to replace the sewer line which was way more expensive). read more

I went from hating our basement drain pipe to loving it, thanks totally to Gabe at TLC. With the pipe operational now, it's working perfectly as designed back in 1943, using gravity to take any unfortunate basement water 150ft to the downhill outfall. After months of serious headache due to the pipe backing up, every other person I spoke to said I had to drill through the basement floor and install a sump pump, that the old pipe couldn't possibly work. Even had a video inspection from a plumbing company, who tried to sell me an $8,000 sump pump option and marry me forever to the electric company and battery backups and tons of worry. Instead, for $975 TLC had it working in less than an hour. Further, he determined the pipe is in great condition and that it was actually serving as an outside French drain, too. Professional.
