Something happened with the machine I was gaming on I cashed out after winning $55 I gave five dollars to the bartender put $20 in my pocket and then $20 in the machine it didn't register... I put five dollars extra in the machine just to make sure whether it was working or not the five dollars in registered and so then I let the bartender know she's like OK well you put another bill in there and see if you're registered. I put another $5 dollar bill $10 total and it showed by now I was missing $20. This happened with machines all the time and I have to say that at most places I've been to when this happens they take care of the situation immediately. Here's your money sorry about the inconvenience and I go on about my day. This is not what happened here they called the tech two hours in the tech still had not shown up and I spoke to Heather. Heather looks like she has bigger fish to fry as the manager and I'm not sure if maybe she's the owner but she's busy didn't wanna bother her. Waited for almost the second hour to do so. She wasn't rude, but she was definitely upset that she could not verify what actually happened. She took care of the situation. She gave me money out of her pocket. I let her know that when the tech does show up and if there's any other way that they can verify via cameras or whatever that they will find the money that I put in there, but it very much felt like here you go now you can leave versus something that could have been handled two hours prior and I could have maybe enjoyed my time there gambling drinking, enjoying the ambience. The patron sitting next to me even verified that I had put the money in the machine and even like that I was still being pushed out like here you go problem resolved you can go now. Heather offered to pay for my food for the inconvenience, which at the end of the day the bartender still charge me for I let the bartender know that the situation was fucked and I left. I know ultimately it's not even about what happened. It's how things are being handled. The $30 in the machine were really nothing in comparison to everything that was going on the event that was happening the prizes they were giving out, etc. but $30 really became a whole situation instead of them taking care of it keeping the experience pleasant for the first time I came to this bar they decided to prolong it and it made me wait and make me feel like I did something wrong and so I apologize if this is not something that happens often at your bar, but this is something that happened today and it needs to be handled appropriately and what are the big things you don't want to do is alienate your client. What could have easily become my staple bar every time I visited the east side of town just became a place to avoid and that's unfortunate.
