I enjoy the food at Firehouse subs but this location always has the worst employees. I've come here periodically over the past few years and while the employees change they may as well all just be the same person. The staff doesn't seem to be able to think outside the box. Multiple times I have come here and made very reasonable requests on what I would or wouldn't want on my order and they don't seem to be able to figure out how to make reasonable substitutions. My friend and I used to go to this location 2-3 times a month. We aren't eating out as much but we got an email about ordering a medium or large sandwich and get 2023 points in the app; we couldn't pass it up! So we met for lunch. When I opened the container that had my meatball sub in it I was shocked, it looked like someone reached into the television and pulled a sub straight from a commercial, you know food rarely looks as good as it does in advertising. Their bread was soft and moist with a light crisp on the outside. The meatballs were big, tender and hot. I got extremely fast delivery from Postmates, I ordered and 25 minutes later it was at my door fresh and hot. I really liked the pickle included with the subs as well. I got a deal from Postmates, they were running a special buy one get one free on like 4-5 different sandwiches and I had a 35 percent off coupon. Update: went to this location this past Monday for double reward points. My hubs and I ordered the same sandwich but only his came with a pickle. Additionally, when ordering through the app I added a dessert reward. But my brownie wasn't in our bag or receipt. I got home before I noticed. When I tried to check the app, I no longer have the dessert reward option. Pretty disappointed in this last experience. I like their subs, but every time I try to use online or app ordering, something goes wrong. Today was the worst and they have lost my business for good. So I ordered online and paid online, which means they now have my cc information. Then I went off to do errands, thinking a nice lunch would be waiting for me and my crew. So my phone was in my pocket. They called, but I didn't expect a call because, you know, I'd already paid. So I am disabled. I order online so my aide can grab the food for me when we arrived at the restaurant and I don't have to worry about paying or having cash for her to pay. She goes in and was told, your order will be ready in about 4 mins. Fine. We are early. Then she gets called back in and they want to see ID. So I give her my card and my ID and told her to tell them I'm disabled. Five minutes later, I realize I phone message which I listened to. That's when I found out they needed to see ID because they have a SECRET RULE that if your order is over $23 they will not make your sandwiches until they see your ID. Manager comes out to my car and I find out that while we've been there for 10 minutes at this point, they have NOT STARTED MAKING OUR LUNCH. I got a long explanation about how all the district shops are upset that they have credit card fraud with people ordering online and picking up food. He quote amounts loss that I estimate at most is a day or two's worth of business. Their solution is the $23 limit. Except because it is district not corporate they can't put anything on their website, but they have signs up in the store. I told him this was bullshit, especially for someone like me who is not going to be able to easily walk into their store. It doesn't help if you can't know this when you order online. To be honest, if I hadn't had such trouble with online / app orders in the past, I might have given them a pass, but places that have secret rules and don't seem to be able to process orders are losing my business. Especially, if those rules are meant to punish everyone for the sins of a few. I'm sorry they are getting ripped off but frankly the answer isn't to piss off your honest customers. Literally the worst firehouse subs I've been too. I was very disappointed with the way the staff couldn't handle my order and had to call a off duty manger to help them. Even with the help of the manger they couldn't resolve the issue. Also one of the employees was touching the screen and counters with his gloves then tried to go make my sandwiches. On June 21, I ordered online two subs and was told to pick it up at this store FHS #1023 - Winterwood Pavillion 2208 S Nellis Blvd. Suite 7 Las Vegas, NV at 8:09 pm. I went to that store and told them I had a online order. They asked what name and I told her. She said she didn't have the order. I showed them my receipt which showed that the order was taken and paid for. I stated they should make my order since it was already paid for.
