The store changed owners in January 2026 and had a grand opening with free nail trims and baths. You will need to show rabies vaccination records before using the nail trim service for your dog. The staff are young and will help if you press them to assist you, but they won't go out of their way to welcome you and offer to help you. I appreciate the convenient location of this store and the products they have in stock. It is the main reason I visit them to buy things like poop bags, squeaky balls, and high quality pet food. It is nice that bathing and nail trims are also available; although I have never used those services here. The staff just seem a little too inexperienced to entrust them with my pet's care.

We did not lose one single fish in the acclimating and currently have 100% at present. The algae eaters we purchased have grown substantially abd are active and entertaining! We are planning to return for a purchase of Albino Corey-cats soon. They also have an excellent variety of plants and supplies. The staff are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Their store was busy on a Saturday, and we still had a pleasant experience. Their prices are reasonable as well in comparison to local Pet Stores. I checked out two other Pet stores in our area, and one had all their stock on quarantine due to an ich outbreak that came with a shipment, and the other had quite a few dead fish laying or floating in their tanks. I did not purchase from either and began looking for other options. Google helped me find Kona Reef and are thankful we found them! I recommend them highly!

The owner I spoke with was super knowledgeable and incredibly friendly. (Even my Beagle liked him and she's normally shy with new people. She actually gets excited to go get washed now, its pretty funny) It's so hard nowadays to find people who offer genuine customer service, but Kimbur exceeded my expectations by far. They also carry top brand natural dog food that's hard to find and their prices are fair compared to other pet specific shops that offer similar products. In fact, I think they're slightly cheaper than were I went before. Regardless, the atmosphere, ownership and staff make the place if you ask me. Now if I could only find a car mechanic that was this great!
