the only thing I would change about this wonderful restaurant is the name. it is SO much more than just pizza! I'm sure they make a good bit of their business with. pizzas, but their dinners are so outstanding I would hope people would try them too. We eat there when visiting relatives and can honestly say they are among our top Italian restaurants, The fettucinne Alfredo is the best ever. Made fresh for each serving! Incredible. The Pizza Place has been a local institution for decades - for as long as they had the pizza shop on the corner of Lehigh Avenue. They'd get calls from all of the area athletic organizations, schools and the churches - and you can almost expect to see their ad in your yearbook. Now further up the street, they renovated but are still very much a pizza shop in all of the good ways. Same product, same legendary sweet sauce, menu prices on par/average but still the most inexpensive with a cozy, quiet seating area that can be intimate and enjoyable but do most of the locals today's realize that? The community has changed, but this gem of a pizza place in the rough has not... and hopefully you know good people to share a pie with. read more

This establishment has some very delicious Pizza! I'm in town for the week and ate here twice, first pizza was a cheese and pepperoni small but the pizza was still very big for one person. The second time I ordered a small Hawaiian with a side of hot sauce. The sauce is spicy and sweet but not too spicy very delicious. There pizza is ALWAYS Delicious. We have to have there pizza every time we come back for a visit. The last time we were home we got 2 large cheese to go for the road and always get the sweet with some hot sauce. Would recommend this place to everyone. I don't know what you other reviewers saw in this place over the years, but although the pizza tasted ok, I have to ask why so expensive? Anyway, ordered large pizza and it came in two smaller boxes? What's up with that? And the dining room was the size of my laundry room? Not very big or family friendly... not even a waiter/waitress? Oh well, can't have everything in small towns. When I visit again though, I think I'll do myself a favor and try one of the larger dining, pizza places in town. I might get more bang for my buck. read more
