Best pizza anywhere! Wow. We were in Montgomery for my graduation from Amridge University and searched online for a good place to grab something to eat. The Pizza Place popped up with good reviews, and pizza sounded good, so we thought we'd give it a try. O.M.G. Those who have said this place serves the best pizza they've ever had were surely not kidding. The crust is unreal and unlike anything I've ever tasted. We had breadsticks (which gave me a good idea of how good the dough is) and the bacon chicken ranch pizza on thin crust. That bacon chicken ranch pizza was insanely delicious!! It's a good thing for my waistline that we live in California - otherwise, we would order pizza from The Pizza Place regularly. A small pizza place located in a quiet shopping center but with big flavor! We were on our way home and wanted pizza. Yelp actually is how we picked this pizza place and the reviews were spot on. The owner was welcoming and very helpful. Once we decided on the kitchen sink we had a seat. It wasn't long till he brought it out to us. The crust on this pizza is spot on! The sauce is great and they sure don't skimp on the toppings! Great service and great food, what more can you ask for! I tried The Pizza Place the other day and was very surprised at how good it was. Workers were very nice and helpful!

If you like to support local businesses and enjoy good food and a lot of it, The Pizza Place is your huckleberry! We ordered a veggie pizza that had a ton of cheese and a ton of toppings and we only finished half of it. We also ordered wings, 10 is a bunch when they use good size wings. A side salad that could have been shared by a couple of people rounded out the order and we were fat and happy with left overs. The food was hot and the owner was so nice. I appreciated the fact that he was wearing a beard cover In addition to a hat to keep hair out of the food. The restaurant is quaint and clean and as I was leaving I also noticed their last Health Department inspection which was a 97 if memory serves me correctly. Give this place a try, give them your money and they will treat you to some excellent grub. We will be trying all of the menu items. 5 stars from a stingy reviewer. read more

Coming home to the lovely misses having a hankering for pizza. So, we decided to try The Pizza Place instead of our usual "go-to" places. The service was polite and fat. And, the pizza was delicious!!! One of my hooligans prefers the standard cheese pizza. It was delivered piping hot with just the right amount of cheese and sauce. The rest of the fam chowed down on a combination pizza. Both pizzas were cooked perfectly with the crust delightfully toasted on the bottom. I have been going "downtown" for pizza for years. About 2 months ago, I ran across The Pizza Place by total accident. Without making this sound too goofy, I must say I have NEVER had such excellent pizza in my 70 years. Being former military, I have tasted pizza from all around the U.S.A. I saw and ad from another pizza joint recently saying, Now, our toppings go all the way to the crust." Really??? I ordered the 16 inch kitchen sink on thin crust toasted crispy!!! My wife and I eat on it for 2 full days. We don't micro wave the left overs. We put it in the toaster oven for about ten minutes, and it comes out great. We feel like total pigs when finish the first 3 slices. If you haven't tried this place, you are selling yourself short if you love pizza. It's in a small strip mall at Perry Hill Rd and Harrison Rd. This place has some bomb !! Friendly staff. Friendly faces. I came here cause I was trying to figure out where my finances had bought some delicious pizza for us a while back and he would never tell me. Just so happen to run across this spot on yelp and decided to try it out since the pictures that everyone posted of there pizza looked so . So, I ordered and went here and was surprised how often I past this place and never noticed it. When I saw the image in the box I knew this was the place! I found his secret pizza restaurant place. Was there yesterday for lunch after looking at rental properties. The pizza... well, two thumbs up! The pizza is definitely batting above average, and even more so when you consider the price. The staff was friendly and quick. The place is small, and you'll likely want to get the grub to go, but if you do eat there, the wall art is fairly entertaining. In terms of the pizza itself. Toppings were top notch, and unlike some, they didn't scrimp on the cheese. The sauce was good, more zesty than sweet, and the crust was above average. I've had some that better in terms of crust, but for medium thickness (not pan and not NY style), it was on the mark. Couple that with the owners who were willing to make up for the bad experience with a free pie and recommendation I found my favorite local pizza place (no pun intended). Often my wife and I argue over regular crust or thin crust. However, The Pizza Place has a "thin crust" that's just right. Personally, after trying them the first time I think the secret of this spot is the thin crust. It's a great balance that brings out the flavor of their pizza, especially when you try their speciality options. Some pizzas like the Country Sausage Gravy Pizza or the Chicken Pot Pie pizza. Yea, I know, it sounds gross or weird, but trust me, you'll love them. Also, their add ons are awesome. Not only do they have great wings at a great price, but their pretzel bread is wonderful. They are both things you should try, especially for the price. Finally, I love helping small business owners and these folks are salt of the earth people. As a result, not only do I get a great pizza for the value, but I get a warm heart because I've helped my fellow neighbor who really wants to please their customers. So try them and let them know your experience. Doing so will only give them the chance to make you a happy customer. In town visiting the parents and bent their arm to try a local place rather than the chain and think I got thru with this one. Not a bad little neighborhood place at all. Fast and friendly service with decent prices. The crust could be a bit thinner and crustier but the cheese and sauce are great. The canned mushrooms have to go through. Aside from a few tweaks needed (salt, seasoning, and upgraded toppings), this place definitely deserves repeat visits. Delivery would be a great service upgrade, but I get the business practicality of that decision. read more

Really great value and pizza. Less than 5 bucks for a cheese or pep pizza and your choice of zesty or sweet sauce. The pizza is comparable to another famous place that sell pizza for 5 bucks. The pizza place is way better though. Plus you are supporting a local business. Lots of cheese and perfect amount of sauce. They also have specialty pizzas, calzones, wings and bread sticks. Y'all. If you haven't eaten here, you don't know what your missing. This is honestly Montgomery's biggest secret. The crust is thinner than most but isn't crunchy, so my family and I all love it - it's soft and thin and not greasy, which is as good as you get with pizza crust. They are very generous with the toppings - I've had pepperoni and beef and pepperoni and sausage (the sausage wasn't spicy and didn't have that one seasoning I dislike and don't know what it is lol, so I really enjoyed it more than most places' sausage). We've also tried the pepperoni lover's. That zesty sauce is zesty all right - perfectly compliments that pizza, but we usually stick with the sweet sauce. Huge slices, so makes for good leftovers. And I don't know what kind of cheese voodoo is going on but this was the best microwaved the next day at work pizza I've ever had. Melty but not greasy, and didn't get all tough to chew.
