    Went to celebrate a family bday dinner. They said us right away and even slightly earlier with our reservation a the place was packed for a Sunday night. The restaurant feels like a mom and pops restaurant and service was great and friendly. Entrees did take awhile to come out so I highly recommend ordering some appetizers so you aren't waiting hungry. I had the pizza with caramelized onions, sausage and garlic chili oil. It was nice and spicy but It did feel a bit heavy without alot of veggies on the pizza. My husband tried the creamy mushroom pasta which was light and good. The clam linguine was also cooked perfectly with a good amount of clams in it. For appetizer: definitely try their focaccia bread. It comes with the best olive oil, balsamic dipping sauce that has chili, garlic and parsley in it too. This place is a local spot and nice place for dinner.

    Great little spot with authentic Italian food with fresh ingredients you can taste! I ordered the fresh ricotta filled gnocchi which far exceeded my expectation topped with Gorgonzola cream sauce. I opted to add grilled chicken on top. My husband ordered the ravioli's which offered the perfect portion for a large man lol We are shared the bruschetta which was served with the most incredible pesto I've ever tasted! This version was different than I was familiar with (used to marinated tomatoes / basil) this fresh change with pesto was delicious, topped with fresh mozzarella and sundried tomato. Last my not least - I have to say every single employee was so friendly and welcoming - even the ones who weren't your servers I came in on a Saturday night and was able to enjoy live music, added to the ambience of fine dining

    Their Porcchetta (spell check) is a must have!

    I always enjoy visiting here for some great Italian, but often forget to get there early on a Friday or Saturday for the lasagna. Even if you miss out on that, there are some other great options like they're short rib, dishes, love their focaccia bread, but you could also just swoop in for a time to relax and enjoy their great variety of wines. Most people may not consider their whole Hawaii bar type of spot but don't rule it out.

    This is definitely 'the place' for great Italian food in Roseville. Both the food and the service were spot-on. The porcetta with polenta was excellent, and the 'Italian jambalaya' Papa's rice pot makes it tough to ever order anything else on the menu. We had seen this before, thought about coming in, did Daniello's for a special occasion and that was the final push to get us in. We'll be back many times, there are so many more things on the menu to try.

    Wow.... The Place did not disappoint!! Was truly hyped up prior to going after having take out and hearing many great things. Picked out a Friday evening to go so we could get the lasagna (only serves on Fri and Sat, go early... limited pans made). Unbelievable light pasta layered with fresh made ricotta and served with their meaty bolognese sauce, was incredible!!! Gnocchi, cheesey garlic bread, and more.... All phenomenal!!! Specialty cocktail list is deep and a great wine list by the glass or bottle. Loved the location in Central Roseville, older buildings with great character. Dining room was split up into two areas so the noise level was definitely better than most places. The team of servers, cooks, and hosts all worked well together and provided a top notch experience!!!

    This has been one of our favorite places to hang out during "Roseville Tuesday Night Car Show." The Place is a quaint eatery on Vernon Street. I love Mikey's Big Balls, it's their signature meatballs covered in sauce topped with cheese, baked and served piping HOT! We usually order that alongside the Original Grammy's salad. You can just order these two items and be content. The fresh house made pasta and the sauce that's been passed down through the family is delicious. You also can't go wrong with any of their pizzas too! FYI-if you're a fan of reality TV, Tamra from Real Housewives of Orange County dined here! (-;

    Our friends took us here a couple of weeks ago. My friend's husband is from the East Coast and huge Red Sox fan, so he wanted to support this family-owned business from Boston. I'm ready to go back for more soft, delicious foccacia dipped in olive oil and basalmic vinger and tasty meatballs named Everybody Love's Mikey's Big Balls lol. We sure did! My friend and I shared the Caesar Salad. I paused and cursed after my first bite, then put my fork down to praise this simple and superb salad. That home made dressing was the best. We also shared the Woodsman Pizza with mushrooms, sausage, and pepperoni in a cream sauce. It was great, but then my husband shared a bite of his Wicked Diavolo pizza. That was the winner with hot honey, chorizo, mortadella and hot peppers. The honey took it over the top. It wasn't too spicy and I didn't need my Pepto chewables! My son loved his Boscaiola with cream sauce, mushrooms, and the same tasty sausage that was in our pizza. Our table also shared two of their pistachio and chocolate cannolis for dessert. The shells were pretty hard but the filling and flavors were good. I prefer a delicate crunch and my friend preferred her grandma's. I'll still give this place 5 stars because of the other outstanding dishes, our friendly, down-to-earth server, Lene, and the casual, cozy ambiance. The music and bathrooms were cute too!

    Old Roseville is filled with cute shops, and some cool restaurants. We hadn't tried The Place yet, and decided to grab some food to go. We had perused the menu before walking in, and decided to order some sandwiches and dessert. We found out that they no longer offer sandwiches! Even the wait staff was bummed that sandwiches aren't on the menu! We opted for two calzones to go. I opted out of ordering dessert, because it's crazy to pay $12.00 for one small cannoli. The meatball calzone and the sweet pig were boxed up for us, with added marinara sauce and the fig jam on the side. What's lacking- intense meat flavors and sauce. We found both calzones needed more sauce cooked into the mixture. Both calzones needed a lot more meat, especially for the price point. I'll also add that more cheese would have helped as well. What's tasty- the dough is house made. It's fluffy, and baked perfectly. I'd kick it up a notch, and add garlic or some tasty seasoning to the dough. It would help! The staff is really kind, helpful, and they made me feel welcomed. The Place is definitely "neighborhood ", which makes it endearing. The price point is pretty high for what's being served ($60.00 for the two calzones).

    Found this place on Yelp, made reservations for Sunday evening and had no issue finding parking so I guess we were lucky! I wish we had come earlier to walk around "old" downtown Roseville beforehand - what a cute area with all the lights and businesses! Service 5* Our server was INCREDIBLE! He rolled with my questions, offered suggestions, hooked us up with bread though the focaccia had run out, and in general, treated us like regulars. I could see how busy he was (bartending as well) but he never made us feel rushed. He was GREAT! Ambiance 5* Nothing fancy, definitely warm and cozy. We were greeted quickly and shown to our table which was off to the side and gave us a great view of everything going on. The place was full of families dining together, a table of teen girls celebrating their friend's 14th birthday, a very large office party, a solo diner at the table behind, and couples just like us. Great place for everyone to come for any occasion. I didn't find the place to be loud but I also wasn't there when any live music was happening. Food 3* Dang it. Why can't the food have been 5* too? The focaccia had run out so our server gave us some contraband bread...but... it was pretty dense and had a hard time soaking up the delicious olive oil/vinegar. The minestrone soup was tasty enough. I went for my server's suggestion of the Sweet Pig pizza: House-made sausage, pancetta, prosciutto, pineapple fig jam, provolone, mozzarella. I get the play on "hawaiian" with the pineapple jam but all I could taste was fig. Nothing wrong with that but then I'm almost looking for prosciutto or ricotta to go with it. Descriptions have an effect! Crust was thin (which I like) but overdone so it made the crust crunchy to the bite (which I don't like since it's not a cracker.) The meats were delicious and the provolone not overwhelming. Hubby wasn't wowed by his clam linguine because riddled throughout were strips of onion, which he doesn't like. It's not typical and not on the menu so it kind of ruined it for him. The shrimp were cooked perfectly and the clams fresh so that was all positive. I think we'd go back to give it a second try but we don't live in the area.

    Staff friendly. Food amazing! Stopped for a quick lunch and had difficulty deciding because of all the yummy options. Way late in getting in here but will definitely be back.

Unfortunately, after waiting about 40 minutes, the pizzas were very disappointing. My kids immediately said it tasted like cheese bread, and after trying it myself, I agreed. There was barely any sauce at all, which was surprising since I had asked for extra sauce. My kids wouldn't eat it, and I ended up having to take them somewhere else to get pizza. Whereas the flavors were fairly mild, it was still comforting and certainly good. The pasta trio was palatable overall, with each pasta having its own distinct flavor. The patio was different bc one side is completely covered, and I noticed a pulldown screen and projector overhead. The menu seemed a bit different this time. No more meatball appetizer unfortunately. Our server was nice and attentive (this time and last). The food: - Spicy Caesar (Romaine, home-made spicy Caesar dressing, home-made croutons, parmesan shavings, cracked black pepper and salami crisps): good stuff. Not really a healthy salad but a tasty one. The croutons are nice and light (not unpleasantly crunchy). The dressing has a nice little kick to it. I'd recommend. - Helena pizza (House-made Italian sausage, salami, pepperoni, San Marzano tomato sauce, fresh basil, fresh mozzarella, pepperoncini, and Parmesan): the pizza crust here is the best in the greater Sacramento area. Hands down. It's so wonderfully light and chewy. I wish they'd use a bit more sauce on their pizzas as they eat a bit dry. And, I think some extra sauce would balance the saltiness of the toppings as well (and, the pizza does eat a bit too salty for my tastes). - Classic Pepperoni pizza (Pepperoni, San Marzano tomato sauce, shredded mozzarella, parmesan cheese): similar experience as the Helena: stellar crust, not enough sauce, and a bit too salty. - Beer: they have a half dozen or so local brews on tap as well as a larger selection of cans/bottles, which include both local and macro brews. Thumbs up. Overall, this is a good pizza place that's worth checking out. I'm only knocking a star off bc the balance of sauce and toppings on the pizza was a bit off. But, I'd still go back!

And my King Salmon (a menu favorite) was moist, but it was actually the asparagus and lemon sauce linguine that won me over--and the portion was enough to take 1/2 home for tomorrow's lunch. (Truth be told, I probably could've ate the entire plate cuz I'm a foodie and that's how I typically roll) I think our next visit we plan to share a meat pizza.

Super friendly staff made it so easy. We were very pleased with our food... Ravioli, Lasagna, and Sausage Sandwich were great. Large portions, flavorful sauces, and sides were top notch. I only wish we had an Original Al's in my town.

    This was good! Was at the Crocker Art Mix in March and ordered SPICY RONI $19 - Tomato sauce,…read moremozzarella, pepperoni, jalapeno, hot honey. A shareable size. I'm giving just 4 stars because the honey was sweet but not that spicy and the jalapeño was more of a bell pepper - also not that spicy. But the thin crust was good and I didn't have to wait too long. Service was inviting and informative. I liked that they had a buzzer to tell me when it was done which made it more of an appealing vibe. Other food trucks had people waiting around for the name to be called - the buzzer is WAY better. The food truck itself is gorgeous. To see the wood fire over from the big windows was super cool!

    I've been wanting to try Bella Familia for the longest time and I was finally able to today. I work…read moreat a hospital that does food truck Fridays and Bella Familia was part of the lineup. I walked over with my coworker around 11:45 and luckily, there was no wait. Thanks to our Philanthropy team I had a voucher for a free meal that I was excited to use. The service was lacking, the person who took my order seemed annoyed that I was using the voucher so that was a bit of a turn off. We ordered the Garden Vibe and got our order in about 10 minutes. Despite the service, the pizza was DELICIOUS and I love that it was a thin crust. The portion size originally looked small but I was able to share it with two of my coworkers and we were all very satisfied. Overall, great pizza but the customer service aspect of my visit could have been way better. If I see the truck around and I'm in the mood for pizza, I will definitely get it again.
