From the exterior, you may be intimidated and assume it's snooty, but it ain't! The shopping experience was definitely entertaining and I could have of stayed for a while just to chat. I heard about Tiki Botanicals through a partnered Yelp event, when I mentioned that I was unable to attend the event the shopkeeper right away said he would honor the event promo. When you walk in there are paper shoppers bags along the wall you can grab to start putting your goodies in. They offer candles, bath bombs, bar soap, hair products, and more! When you check out you get to pick which tissue paper to use in your bag. So adorable and a great touch. As I was leaving the shop I heard the shopkeepers discussing what they would work on for the day. They were going to pour candles. It was a very Romy and Michelle's High School Reunion moment and it made me smile from ear to ear! You can really tell they enjoy what they do and know how to provide a memorable customer experience.

The store could use a little more inventory, but the styling of the shop and craftsmanship of the items that the owner procures are very nice. Not local stuff but unique international artisan wares- Italian glassware, Portuguese linens, handcrafted candles, and many other beautiful contemporary things. It is nice to see interesting retail shops opening downtown.

The nicely renovated house did not sell in 2019, and we were not getting the offers the house deserved. We engaged Ms. Harding in early December 2019, and the house was nicely staged within 1 week (pictures are on the Yelp profile). Within 2 weeks, higher offers began coming in, culminating in a sale at full price in January 2020. Re:Work's commitment to building furniture from reclaimed barns is smack on point! I was introduced to this husband-and-wife-run show at a Yelp event showcasing locally run businesses around central Ohio. They know where to look, who to know, and how to make wonderful furniture. Picture frames, tables, basically, you name it and, if it's feasible, they'll make it! We were able to make a simple, but classy wood plant vase out of their reclaimed barn wood. "Reduce, reuse, recycle" at its finest! I'm excited that they're working on expanding there work space. Having the front-space addition, they're planning to make a "show room"/ come and try/experience their offerings before you chat and decide on a design. Nice!

She gave us some background on the company and just made us fall in love with what they are doing there in Grandview. I assumed it was a gift shop, maybe with tchotchkes and kitchenware, German snacks, German Village souvenirs. I was nearby today and time to kill, so I went in, finally. And: it's a wine shop. It does say "wine and gifts" outside but I figured it leaned towards gifts. And I am not a wine drinker. If I were, it looks like a heckuva good wine shop. There are also plenty of local beers in a cooler. A few gifts, mainly in the form of sarcastic cocktail napkins, drinking accessories, etc. Not my kind of place, but I will be directing "winos" here.
