What a true pleasure to experience perfect customer service that is beyond comparison! From the young lady who took my order by phone, to the email updates with pictures, plus the expedited delivery date and Bill the delivery driver (who went above and beyond to ensure a successful delivery), I cannot praise this business & its employees enough. Living 5 hours away, it's a tremendous relief to know that I can count on The Plant Shoppe's staff to brighten both of my daughters' days while they're away at college. Thank you all for everything!
I needed to place a last-minute order for a sympathy arrangement for a non-traditional themed funeral. Due to the time difference (I live across the country from the recipient), I was not able to hop on the phone and instead used The Plant Shoppe's online order form. The process was so easy and thorough, and I was able to customize a beautiful arrangement within my budget. The Plant Shoppe sent me a photo of the finished piece before delivery, and it arrived exactly on time. Thank you so much for helping me show my support and love during this difficult time when I could not be there in person.
$125 custom arrangement, pre-tax and add-ons. A bit underwhelming. I asked for as many blue hydrangeas and roses as possible, and didn't specifically tell them to throw in other flowers, but I assumed they would because that's what other florists do. They were kind enough to switch out the yellow roses with red ones mid-delivery after I saw the photo and asked for the change.
Kim did a great job over the phone helping me get a beautiful orchid hand delivered to my son on his birthday. You can also order from their website but I messed that up and ended up calling them the next day to clarify. They were super nice about it. Great customer service and beautiful flowers! After they got my orchid ready to deliver, they emailed me a pic of it- so pretty!!
I came in late on a Friday afternoon, right before they were about to close. I was very scared they would not accept me, or would not have a lot left. I was pleasantly surprised and not disappointed!! They had a small selection at the end of the dat but even offered to put something small together for me, like a small bouquet. They had some live plants as well. Ultimately I ended up choosing something from the fridge - it was so cute! The staff were very nice, unsure if I spoke to the owner but we had a great conversation about their baby goats.
This was my first order, and it was a wonderful experience! I definitely will be ordering from here again. They were very fast and even sent a photo of the arrangement before delivering. They sent clear communications throughout the entire process. Most importantly, the flowers were beautiful! Certainly recommend ordering from here!
I could not have been more disappointed with this place. I ordered an arrangement for valentines and was very excited when they told me they would be able to get peony's for me since they weren't quite in season yet. On pickup day (valentines) the arrangement fell well below expectations. Only 2 of the peony's were actually open and the rest were all closed. That would have been acceptable if they would have actually opened up shortly as promised but they did not. Only one more ended up opening and the rest stayed closed. Meanwhile by day 5, the 2 open peony's had already started withering. I paid $100 dollars for this arrangement and definitely did not get my money's worth. I paid that much money and got dying flowers that the majority didn't even ever open up. So disappointed, for a so called "florist" this arrangement was a disgrace.
I am out of state (very far away) and I needed a top notch florist to deliver flowers twice for me. As the people who helped me were fabulous in everyway. Therefore I had to have a florist who can be the same. This arrangement was absolutely stunning. To me it's a design of art. Mission accomplished! Look no further as this is your florist.
This is my regular go to florist whenever I send a bouquet to a friend, etc. in the area. They have yet to disappoint! The latest order was a canine "Get Well" carnation & daisy arrangement w/ a balloon -- see pic. Will continue to use this Gainesville area florist for its quality arrangements, excellent service, & for its consistency. It's the only area florist that has provided excellent arrangements 100% of the time. And prices are either lower here (or the same) as they are at other florists for similar floral arrangements. I knew Betsy knew my mom's taste from years of their business, so I put my trust in her to create a beautiful arrangement. I asked for rich colors and a creative shape versus the conventional orb-like shape of most arrangements. Not only did they send me an email with a photo of the arrangement so I could appreciate it even though I wasn't there, but they also took my ideas and ran with them, creating the most beautiful floral arrangement. I loved that I could order online, picking a date for delivery and a price point for a custom order and telling them what I wanted and didn't want. It let me have control over exactly how much I was spending and what it would look like without getting something that looked like every other arrangement. I've attached a photo of what they sent my mom because I truly can't even process how beautiful it was. If you're looking to support a local, woman-owned business with gorgeous products, look no further!

So, I walked in to this amazing little shop to send flowers to Brazil! It is so full of color and decor that you want to take a look around first, before you order. All the ladies were busy working and let me know from behind a mountain of flowers and plants that they were ready to help when I needed it. I told them. She wasn't sure if they had business ties with that particular country, so she checked. They did not have the ability to send to Brazil, but she gave me a few local shops around town that she thought could help. Now, you know you are getting good service, if a salesperson suggests their competition to you, because they did not have what you asked for. I placed an order from CA which had a certain amount of urgency. They were extremely polite and accommodating. The order went out within the hour, it was delivered within 20 or 30 minutes and the arrangement was exactly like their photo. I received confirmation of my order immediately, received another email picturing the actual flower arrangement and a 3rd email letting me know it was delivered. Very impressive!! I wish they were local for me; I'd find every excuse to send flowers. Their prices were excellent, their selection was more than ample and their service was superb. read more

Super easy to order. My friend texted me right away that she loved it. I almost ordered one for myself. I enjoyed getting a preview email, that was a nice touch. I also liked the cactus option vs a traditional floral arrangement. read more

We got married last month and we were blessed with a fairy tale wedding. Everything from the venue to the weather was perfect. But more importantly, we could have not done this without the relentless help, love, and dedication we received from the team of people who helped make our wedding day the best day of our lives. Our wedding ceremony took place under the big oak tree at the Historic Thomas Center in Gainesville. Our florist, Betsy Gardner from the Plant Shoppe Florist, customized our flowers as requested matching our wedding colors of navy blue and gold to beautiful hydrangeas, gardenias, delphiniums, and tulips. Our bouquets were gorgeous! Betsy and her team also hung lanterns from the oak tree and suggested hanging some of our reception bottles with lights in them from the branches, which added significantly to the overall romance of the décor. She made gorgeous gold leaf garlands for our cat stroller (our cats were the ring-bearers!) and for the tables at the reception. Betsy and her team came to the venue early and they not only set up the lanterns, bottles, and flowers, but they also helped our wedding planner decorate the tables at the reception. They went above and beyond and were just great and fairly priced. We highly recommend Betsy and her team for weddings, special events, and all other flower needs. read more

My friend received an impressive floral arrangement from her husband and it was absolutely stunning; the Plant Shoppe Florist did an excellent job. The roses were huge, and a bright beautiful velvety orange. I got a little emotional over how gorgeous they were and the fact that I am a sucker for love type didn't help either. read more

I am so happy with the service I received from this florist! I am in Ohio and my mom is down in Florida for her birthday. I wanted to send her some flowers, but since I used to work at a flower shop, I am kind of picky. I love that this shop sends photos of the arrangement before it goes out. It was so perfect and more than I could have asked for. My mom loves them, and how could you not?? I wish I lived in Gainesville, so I could use them more often. read more

I recently ordered $75 Valentine's flower arrangement and I assumed the order would be fairly modest. But I was wrong. This is my shop for ever. The bouquet was stunning and it lasted for over a week, different buds opening up every day. Most importantly my girlfriend talked about it three or four times a day. Forget chocolates; ask the Plant Shop. And by The way, Theil staff is especially professional and helpful. read more

Betsy is beyond amazing!!! She created an intimate and gorgeous atmosphere for my wedding!! I did not want typical wedding flowers. She used amazing succulents, moss, spider mums, and more! Every arrangement was unique and unusual. I loved everything! She even provided mercury glass votives and vases which popped so well with our theme colors of ivory, pewter, and chartreuse. Beautiful flowers and fast wonderful service! I bought some flowers literally seconds after they opened of the phone. I'm always procrastinating, but they were able to have the boquet ready in less than 20 minutes. When I picked them up shortly after ordering, they were beautiful and more lovely than I imagined from the photos online. Also a great bargain!
