Like all of you, I was new to acting at some point. With me, it came later in life. So I decided to give this studio a shot being so close to me and not having to drive to LA more than I was already doing for other classes and auditions. What I found was a very friendly and knowledgeable staff with everything you could ask for in an acting school. Although still relatively new to acting, in my short 18 months I've landed a highly reputable talent agent, was the principal role in 2 national commercials, and was cast as a supporting role in an upcoming feature film by a major studio. I'm currently going on network auditions 2-3 times a month and have built a rather impressive resume thus far. All of this is because of the core basics I have learned at ASOOC. Without my acting technique, I would not be where I'm at today with so much more to learn and show. Their 7 Pillars of Acting technique has grounded my performance in every way possible allowing me to be in the moment under any circumstance presented to me. My only wish is that I could leave more than 5 stars. This is by far the best school in Orange County.

Everyone is so incredibly supportive.. it was a place that I felt free and SAFE to explore and learn and grow as an actor. If you're hesitating, please take the leap of faith to try this studio, I know that you wont regret it!

I honestly felt foolish, but it's something I've always wanted to try. My first class I was blown away by how welcoming and professional everyone was. Jordan definitely sets the tone for his class- everyone is respectful and truly there to learn. Jordan is incredibly encouraging while also motivating his students to change and grow! He is extremely humble, considering he's made a career out of acting. He never treats an actor as if they've 'arrived'--rather it seems he values growth and reflection. Whether you are a beginner or have years of experience and credentials, you'll learn a lot from taking his class. He also offers students practical advice for working in the industry. Overall, I'm so grateful I've met Jordan. As a teacher he is passionate about his craft and helping his students succeed.

My child is challenged academically but not stressed and she loves her school and teachers/staff/faculty/admin. IVA was my school of choice for my son, because LB Unified refused to let my son attend his home school when we moved to another part of Long Beach. LBUSD also made the school selection and enrollment process so much more difficult that I decided to pull my child out altogether. Save the drama for your mama. In comparison, IVA had an easy enrollment and application process. I was able to contact someone from the school every time I had a question or concern. The student-teacher ratio is something LBUSD has historically fallen short on, and with IVA teachers knew my son by name. The learning environment became a small community built on pillars of intellectual virtues. As a parent, I appreciated the one-on-one communication from my child's instructors. I also enjoyed the social gatherings of parents, students and instructors, when I did have time to participate. Really, it's a private school feel without the price tag. My son was afforded opportunities he would have never had experienced in LBUSD as far as athletics and extracurricular activities such as weight lifting club, photography, and yearbook committee. Geographically, the area of the school is a little rough, but the school does have a nice outdoor area in the back for student activities away from the "distractions" of LB Blvd.
