First night that I had moved into my home and took my first shower the toilet and showers backed up. Brown water backed up in the bathtub and one toilet flooded. We called the home warrenty insurance company and they sent out an independent plumber contractor the next day and they used a camera and a snake to try to get through the blockage. They didn't put much effort into snaking it and just gave up and said it would cost us $2000 to redo the plumbing system. NO WAY would I pay that! Plus I don't generally trust plumbers to begin with. Luckily my co worker referred me to The Plumbologist and I gave them a call and told him what happened. He immediately knew what was wrong. He said if he is unable to unblock the blockage he would not charge me for coming out. When he came out he used the hydrojet and camera and was able to bust through all the blockages in the main pipe. I mean I had a lot of blockages!! It was approximately every 5 feet for a 70 foot pipe. He even showed me on the camera while they were hydrojetting the blockages. Pretty amazing! After they were done I went into the house to run all the faucets, showers and flushed the toilets. They backed up again. Jordan got onto the roof and used his camera to go down into the vents. Then he crawled under my raised home and realized that the plumbing in one of the bathrooms did not have a vent and the plumbing was done all wrong form the original investors who flipped our home! However, he did get one of our bathrooms working to full capacity for now. So needless to say he will be back to redo all my plumbing in my home. The next week I had to fix the main pipe because there was a crack in it. They dug down deep to get the old pipe out and replaced it with the new PVC pipe. Had a slow drain problem where water was coming back up the bathtubs and the toilets. It was not a nice sight. Having just recently bought a house, we had no clue about home repairs and the costs associated added stress. There is so many good Yelp reviews for plumbers so it was hard to choose. The reviews at Plumbologist appeared to be the most honest, real, and unpaid reviewer. I called Jordan (honest owner) who told me to describe what happened and set me up for an appointment early in the morning for house call emergencies. Jordan and Francisco (cool guy) came into our home. After looking at our bathrooms and cleanout, Jordan quickly diagnosed that we have a root problem. Francisco used a snake (got stuck) and camera and confirmed Jordan's diagnosis. There was a lot of roots causing drain backup. Jordan recommended we get a Hydro Jetting service. He told me up front what to expect for cost and procedures. I really like that he did that and the prices were reasonable. Francisco proceeded with the hydro jetting service and even encourage me to look at the sewer camera while he was working. I had a feeling he knew I was a clueless homeowner thinking "am I getting taken advantage of"? What Francisco did was above and beyond. He educated me about plumbing problems and what to do. He showed me how I can check the cleanout to assess problems before it gets worst. He pointed to the camera monitor to show how far they were cleaning, they got to 70 feet touching the city lines. After a couple of hours it was all done and plumbing now good. Jordan, Francisco, and The Plumbologist are straight up good plumbers. Our landscape drain was draining really slow this winter and finally completely backed up this week. I called The Plumbologist this morning and Marco was at the door within the hour. He tried hydrojetting it and pulled out some branches but couldn't clear the clog. So he broke out the camera and a sounding tool and found the exact location of the clog and showed me on screen. A tree root had completely collapsed the pipe (see the WTF picture of what the roots did) and then got inside the pipe and blocked the flow. Marco and the team had to jackhammer through my old hardscape, cut out the old pipe and hack away a ton of roots, put in a repair section, and patch the concrete. Marco and Angel and John did the work like pros. They had all the right tools to pinpoint where to fix and then got everything done straight away. No running all over town to get the parts or concrete or whatever. We've had these guys out before for clogged pipes and because the city tree attacked our sewer last year. They do just as good a job outside the house as inside. I hope I don't need them again but if I do I won't hesitate to call. read more

We had them come out and do a home inspection for plumbing because they had quoted the lowest on inspections on plumbers we called. Inspectors sounded irritated when we asked any questions or for details on a specific notation of possible general issues listed on a hand written paper after his inspection. We were promised to receive an email quote soon. After one week with no news, I called to ask if they had wrong email, and that I never got the quote, response was, 'oh yeah I need to so that, I will do that tomorrow'. I am writing this almost a month later still no quote. Why would I chase after them for service when they additionally unprofessionally told me jokingly they would charge extra for me due to the sports team shirt I had on the day of inspection. Really!? I honestly wish I could give them ten stars. My husband broke off a scrub brush trying to clean the master shower. Our home warranty sent out FOUR different plumbers and finally said it wasn't covered because it was a foreign object. I called another plumber recommended on here and was quoted $400 to cut through my walls and replace the P trap, not including fixing the wall after. As a last resort I called this company after seeing the reviews. Austin came in and after seeing how nice the van was I was worried I was going to get scammed. However, Austin was freaking amazing and used a machine to pull out the scrub brush for less than $100. He was definitely heaven sent and such a nice, nice guy. I had a slow flushing toilet. I called another plumber. The other plumber couldn't find the specific problem but the toilet flushed ok when he was through snaking it. I hoped it was somehow fixed. It wasn't and it continued to flush very slow and weak. After some time I called the other plumber again. This time they found a giant root in the pipe. They removed it and I thought the problem was solved. But it wasn't. The toilet started flushing slow again! I called the other plumber a 3rd time. Of course when he came out, the toilet was having a "good day" and flushed ok for him. (Isn't that always the case?). I insisted that there was something wrong with this toilet but he didn't want to do any work on a toilet that seemed ok. So finally when my toilet was still acting up despite 3 calls to the other guys, I called The Plumbologist. The Plumbologist fixed it!! They found a huge root in the pipe that somehow the other guys missed. They video scoped the pipe and now I know the pipe is definitely clear. I will do my best to explain the two star - After several failed attempts to fix a toilet that was leaking (water around the floor of the toilet), I finally grew tired of trips to and from HomeDepot so I gave up and called The Plumologist. Scheduled an appointment for the following morning. As scheduled the plumber showed up, on-time. He was very friendly, professional, and seemed like a good guy (Rich is his name). He worked on the toilet and ultimately deduced that the connector bolts were not tight enough. So after some troubleshooting, all that neede to be done was some bolt tightening. That cost $175. A bit steep, and I was never told that there is a minimum charge just to come out. I sucked it up because at least the ordeal was done. Or so I thought. Fifteen minutes later I observed water around the back of the bowl on the floor. I didn't feel so bad all of a sudden, looks like this toilet was crafty enough to fool a professional! Called the main line but Rich was already enroute to other calls. The advice I was given was to call back when I knew I would be in for the night. Called back at 3:30pm, no answer so I left a message. Didn't hear back from anyone but out of nowhere my doorbell rings at 4:15pm, it's Rich. I'm happy, of course, but a little heads up would have been nice..what if I ran to the store, took the dog for a walk, any number of things could have pulled me away from the house..that's why we make appointments and call to confirm. I digress. Rich attacks the toilet again and after some troubleshooting informs me there is a hairline fracture in the tank, and that is the source of my problem. So a new toilet is in my future. I ask Rich, "What would it cost to have you install this if I buy it tonight?" Rich gives the boss a call and boom $150. I thank Rich and let him know I'm going to call the main line and see if we can negotiate a better price. After all, I just dropped $175 for a fifteen minute bolt tightening. I call, explain my situation and ask for some consideration on the price of $150. I figure a new toilet install would take a competent guy like Rich maybe 15 minutes if the toilet was still in the box. Thirteen if I unpacked it for him. Back to the message - I throw out $75 bucks for Rich to come back tomorrow to install. (That's $225 for what would amount to be less than an hours work.) I ask politely for a call back to see if this is even an option; I never heard back. Not a call to say, "Hey, sorry we don't negotiate prices" Or " How about we toss in a bowl brush.." Nada. I figure the boss got his $175 out of me and he's happy with that. So, went to HomeDepot, bought a Glacial Bay (on sale) and fired up YouTube. Installed it on my own. The no call back saved me some money as I most likely would have just scheduled the job - Rich, the Plumber, was great. Anyway - that's my experience. As a working professional, I feel that a simple call back would have been an easy step, and customer service is the backbone of small business, there are just too many options these days. I won't be using them again, however, to be fair the Plumber (Rich), he was solid, he knew his stuff and I would trust him. After 3 visits by the plumbers dispatched by the Home Warranty company and an estimate in excess of $10,000 to access the "blocked sewer line underneath the fireplace", I called The Plumbologist for a second opinion. Received a visit within 1 hour of calling and they went to work, providing clear explanations of what they were doing, where the sewer line actually ran and proving that there was no root blockage and no need for expensive repairs. I had a clogged sink and I first called mike diamond plumbing, the guy came over said I had weird pipes and that I needed a clean out and jet my pipes cost $2250. I told the guy to get the hell out and not to let the door hit him where the good lord split him. I very quickly with the speed of and Olympian called the Plumbologist. They came they same day and said that I had an obstruction around 20 feet down the line ( smell not so good plumber said he could only snake 4.5 feet) he said that I did in fact need a clean-out and could do it the next day(fast service) he showed up the next day did the clean-out, snaked the drain and fixed all issues. Total damage was$345 that is a heck of a lot cheaper than $2250. All joking aside. These guys especially the owner are very professional, fast, and the biggest thing of all HONEST!
