It's a really great place to go out in a group gathering with friends or family to eat, drink, and rent a karaoke room. It also opens until 2AM on most nights so you can enjoy until late night. Food was amazing especially for those who can handle spicy. For those who cannot don't worry, there are other items on the menu like Pork Bossam, which was delicious! They come in big portions, so we were able to order and share amongst my group. The bill was not a lot at all. The service was great and the staff were very friendly and helpful. HanShin Pocha is a Korean styled pub in Duluth. They're only open from 5pm but open pretty late on most days (2am). You have to show id when entering (21+ only even if you don't drink) and smoking is allowed indoors. If you go with a decent sized group, there're semi closed off rooms to the side instead of open table seatings in the middle of the store. When we went on a Saturday night, it was a bit loud as expected and couldn't notice the smoke, but those are largely dependent on your neighbors at the time. Service for us was great, you never get bothered unless you ring the bell at your table, and they come really quick. The food came out fast too. We got several items and drinks. - soo yook (steamed pork slices) $30 - seasoned popcorn chicken ($14) - DIY rice ball ($4) - pork bbq mozzarella ($23) - french fries ($10) - soju ($13) - kimchi pancake (comes with drink) All the food were pretty great. We especially like the pork slices (very tender and seasoned well) and it comes with bean sprouts on the bottom. The spicy pork was good too, paired nicely with garlic and cheese. Their menu is more extensive than this, and I've heard good things about the food in general. From what I've seen, you won't be disappointed by the quality of the food. However, the price of the food is a bit high for the portions given. (They do have half off ladies nights on Wednesdays). Drinks are also expensive but comparable to other Korean restaurants in the area. I personally wouldn't come here to eat a full dinner on an empty stomach but come mostly for the atmosphere and munchies on the side of drinks. It was my first time here, and I heard that the steamed pork was to died for so we started our order with steamed bean sprout (it's actually mung beans) and pork, green mussel soup, and steamed baby octopus. The pork & steamed baby oct was but the green mussels had WAY too much jalapeños...we literally sneezed/coughed after every sip bc of all the seeds smh. We do enjoy spicy food but not to a point that it makes us sneeze like that. They serve you carrots with ssamjang (Korean bean paste + gochujang) which is refillable & u get a choice btw fried egg, kimchi jeon (pancake), or ramen. Service-wise, no one really stops by except for the in the beginning to get orders. When we needed something we had to push the button at the end of the table for someone to come. The wings were tiny, barely any meat on them and the sauce was lackluster. Karaoke is $20/hour - you pay for the room as a whole versus per person. They provide you with complimentary water and vegetable sticks (lol). The music is a nice variety of relatively current music, especially Korean. The controls on the remotes are all in Korean but you learn which buttons are for what over time. Service is SUPER fast. Press the service button and the server will respond immediately or bring back your request/order so quickly, it's like they never left. Soju isn't cheap but it's about average compared to Korean restaurants by the bottle. They have a pretty good selection of soju for sale. If you spend enough on food/alcohol, the charge of the room will be free. I've heard so much about the late night eats here and I've gotta come back and check it out! read more

Woww, the ladies night deal on Wednesdays means half off all food and a free hour of karaoke o_o Upon entering the restaurant, you'll be carded (must be 21 to enter). The restaurant is spacious, with rooms around the perimeter, open seating separated by barriers in the center, and karaoke rooms behind the dining room. The service is great. I always love it when you can ring a bell for help. As for the food, try the sooyook (pork belly with bean sprouts) and prepare to be amazed! It's got a flavor that's not like most other Korean bossams. Also, try the chicken feet if you're into spicy foods! All the food is pretty solid here. Came here on a Sunday night with my friend and it was packed. The food we ordered came out so quickly and the service was very attentive when we were seated. They gave us carrots and ssamjang to eat while waiting for food and it was so addicting. The meat melted in our mouths and went so well with the somek we made at our table. The dish comes with a fried egg as a side. It took some time to get seated which is the only reason I'm not giving it five stars. They definitely had tables available, but they weren't cleaned and the servers were walking around attending to other tables while there were 3-4 parties waiting for over 20 minutes. *Pre-Covid review* I came here in December of 2019 for a friend's birthday. We had a big group of 20 or so and had one of the private karaoke rooms reserved. The room was plenty big for our group and allowed ample space between all of us to move freely, which we needed because some of us got really into performing. We also had our own bathroom which was a big plus. We ordered several food items and drinks to share. The food was flavorful and had generous portions. Service was fast. The staff wasted no time responding to our service button. They have a wide selection of songs from 80s (maybe earlier) to top 40 hits. The screen is nice and big and the sound worked perfectly. However, the remote was a bit challenging to use as the controls were all in Korean. We eventually figured out which buttons worked what. This was my first karaoke bar experience here in the US, so I don't have anything else to compare it to. Most of my group had been here before and raved about it and now I see why. My husband has been raving about this place for a couple of months now. Since this is a bar/karaoke, I couldn't bring our baby girl with us. We were promptly seated, and once we were ready to order, we simply press the button and our waitress was there. We ordered the pork belly slices, and also had the bbq pork with cheese. The pork belly is amazing! It's super flavorful, melt in your mouth slices of pork belly. I highly recommend this if you enjoy pork belly. The bbq pork was ok. I think the pork belly was so amazing I just didn't care as much for the bbq pork lol. I heard from every one that the chicken feet is supposed to be bomb as well. These days, skip clubbing and possibly drinking and just go straight to the anju, the Korean food you eat when drinking. Point is, the food here tastes superb whether or not you're drinking. And they do offer nrb(aka karaoke) as well. One of my friends would go here on Wednesdays when they have half off on everything for ladies night and would see her stuff herself with carbs and sodium late at night and I would wish it wasn't a weekday lol. Finally got to try it on a weekend and it surpassed my expectation. The pics on Yelp previous to my pics did no justice so you're welcome~ There's a variety of menu options ranging from soups, meats, and fried bunsik food. Best of all, menu booklet has appetizing pictures to go with it so you can easily decide. Went with a group and we tried the following: self-make rice balls, kimchi stew, seafood ttuboki, fried chicken, corn cheese, and donkatsu. And our drink of the night were the fruit sojus and somac(beer & soju). Went with a big group so our tab was big enough that the house even gave us service of fried wings, which topped the icing on our cake. Everything we ate was phenomenal, from the playful food where you roll up your own rice balls to the flavorful kimchi soup to seafood ttuboki, which by the way was my favorite. And the corn cheese was one of the cheesiest I've ever had (thumbs up)! Would definitely come back here in a heart beat! Couple things to note: It can be smoky inside, depending on your neighboring tables. Restroom was clean (huge points) and service was great. We ordered fried chicken, fries, potato skins (they were circle shaped potatoes and were soft inside but crunchy outside) & drinks. The food was pretty good, seasoned well and tasted fresh out the kitchen. The menu was super extensive w/ many different types of dishes! The karaoke room was awesome. And also once you turned the lights of the disco ball & lights would activate giving the room that party vibe! Yo. I don't know how this place doesn't have more reviews. This spot has been here for a hot minute. Hanshin pocha is a Korean drinking food establishment. Their name means hanshin snack cart. In Korea, you'll see these things pop up at night and these ladies who run these things make great bar food and you can sit down and have a meal while sipping your soju after a hard day of work. My best friend and I have definitely talked about opening one of these when we get old and be an OG ajuma. Fortunately, you don't have to sit in a plastic draped cart that's super steam filled from all the food at hanshin pocha. It's nicely laid out with booths to the side and tables in the middle. Every time I've brought people here they're so surprised at the quality of the food. I can't remember ordering a thing and thinking, "meh." It's always great. I really love their spicy chicken feet (don't forget the mozzarella), the bossam, and any soup thing that they have. Yes, one thing is at least for two people. I really like that you also get a free side with every order (their kimchi pancake is slightly greasy but the flavor is on point Get the DYI rice balls. Put that glove on and mix everything around and then make them into little perfect balls and consume with your other items. It's just like making meatballs and it's just as fun to eat them. ). Get you a hite and some soju. Ask for limes and squeeze limes into your soju and have some soju bombs. Service is pretty great. It's really cool that they have brought this to the US. I think a pocha basically is a Korean side street biz in which ppl go primarily to drink (with some street food on the side). This restaurant is full of little wooden stalls where you could comfortably fit up to 10 ppl/stall. Being more of a drinking establishment, smoking is allowed and you must show ID at the table. Plenty of parking. Food was tasty. The cheese on the tteokbokki is a must! So worth the extra charge cuz this cheese actually has good flavor and creates such a nice cheese pull. -1 star cuz it's a little overpriced IMO. A single bottle of soju is like $12-$13. Food is ~$20 each dish. Don't remember exactly but we got 5 things with no alcohol and it ended up being $20/person. Great place to gather with friends for a fun night. Friends described Han Shin Pocha as a restaurant with open mic karaoke, but I wasn't sure where it was located -- no matter, we mainly came for food and alcohol. It was a Friday night at 9pm and the place was full. I went with a group of friends and luckily got a room to ourselves. The rooms aren't big and fit 6-7 people and closes with cuuuute sliding barn doors. Location: Near Gwinnett Place Mall, in the same shopping center as star daepo. It's a stand alone building near the road that has a Korean sign with Han Shin in English. Noise level: Very high, we had to close the door -- barely made a difference because the rooms are open space on the top. Food: We ordered seafood rice cake ($16.99), spicy mixed meat and vegetable stew ($25.99), hanshin braised spicy chicken stew ($24.99), hanshin fried chicken ($15.99), soju, beer, and a few kimchi pancakes. The rice cake was actually really gooood, super soft and chewy! The spicy mixed meat and veggie stew was also good and is a pretty good portion for price. I think the worst thing we ordered was probably the hanshin braised spicy chicken stew -- not worth it, chicken had absolutely zero flavor. Friends loved the kimchi pancakes. Note: SMOKING. If you don't like cigarette smoke, then I would not suggest coming here. You'll definitely smell awful afterwards because it's essentially an open space. We did not smoke and I went home smelling like I smoked a whole pack. If smoke isn't an issue, then I recommend Han Shin as a place to drink and eat. Spent about five hours at Han Shin Pocha this past Saturday night. The bill was about $300, just so you know. As you can tell from the lack of reviews at this point, this place is brand new. It is one of the many noraebangs in the Gwinnett Place Mall parking lot, but this one is in a stand alone building. The interior is designed to look like a barn with sliding barn doors. There are only a few singing rooms with really good sound systems. Our room was massive, as there are not many smaller rooms. There are old and new songs, mostly Hangul songs. Newer songs are not in the books, so you will have to search for them using the remotes. The remotes are all in Hangul as well, but the staff is very friendly and will help navigate the controls. If you have been to any norabang in the past two years, you will find the same song selection. As the pocha name notes, most of the food here is drinking food and anju. Not a place I would recommend for dinner. Also, if you are trying to check fried chicken and noreabang off of the to-do list in one location, you cannot do that here. Their chicken is more US style than KFC style. The drink selection is bare minimum soju, makoli, and beer. If you want something mixed, you will need to mix it yourself. And, keep in mind that you are also charged for all of those mixers, including $1.99 for a lemon or lime. The staff is very honest, transparent, and upfront about all of the charges. Soju is served in a pot, but the staff will pour the soju into the pot in front of you to show their honesty. Overall, was not impressed with the food, drinks, song selection, and overall atmosphere for the price. read more
