Fast seating Reasonably-paced service FRESH kimchi, cabbage, etc. for dishes that use them After splitting 2 bottles of soju and everything below between 5 of us, plus gratuity, it was about $50/person. I recommend everything my table and I shared, ranked: 1.) 뚝배기 돼지김치씨개 (spicy pork kimchi soup) 2.) Tied: 수제 모듬전 (assorted Korean pancakes) / 탕수육 combo (sweet & sour pork combo) 3.) 보쌈 (bossam) The soup was authentic, and its broth especially stood out to me among everything I ate. It wasn't too spicy and let me actually savour it, and I usually can't handle the average Korean spice. The assorted pancakes come hand-sized so you can try different pancakes without having to commit to a dish-sized one for each. (Note that kimchi pancake is not among the types in the assorted plate.) The sweet & sour pork combo was one among a couple on a featured page of the menu; the option we chose was a combo of tangsuyuk (a Korean take of Chinese sweet and sour pork) and french fries. I was craving bossam late night so we decided to stop in since it's open late. The place was kind of empty and the food is a tad pricey at first glance. And while we waited, club dj music was blasting through the speakers. Not ideal for a date night but I'm not here for the vibes, I'm here to eat. And based on the food alone - it was amazing and well worth the price. We ordered bossam and stir fried chicken gizzards. Check out the spread. The food all came out super fast. The pork belly is served in a tray that remains heated throughout the dining experience. Cold pork belly fat is not good eats and I'm not a fast diner so I love that it stayed warm while I savored each bite. This is by far my fave bossam dish out of all the Korean spots in Duluth. Tastes like what I first had in Los Angeles Koreatown. All the traditional sides are served with it - white Napa cabbage that's slightly pickled, pickled purple radish, spicy Korean radish and even the micro shrimp dip. The other banchan dishes were delicious too - stir fried fish cakes and bean spouts. We refilled all the sides a few times. And the portions are huge! Hubs and I took leftovers home after only ordering two entrees. So glad I found this place. Next time I'm in town, you know I'm hitting this place up again! read more

Everything is just perfect. We went for a girls night on late Sunday night. Not too busy, got a table right away. Food came out pretty quickly. The clam soup is really tasty. Light but flavorful. I don't know why there aren't any pictures of the English menu, but I have them for all you non-Koreans out there. :) This place had sectioned off areas of seating with high walls and curtains for more privacy. They had the majority of their dishware being paper products (is that good or bad?). Their side dishes were more unique, one having anchovies and greens. Another that seemingly were green beans with an interesting coating and flavor. There was the typical fish cake along with kimchi as well. The fried chicken thigh with scallions was really good and sizable! We ordered the large version; it was great for sharing. The chicken was flavorful and juicy. With a few squeezes of the lemon, the chicken's savoriness was enhanced. The green chive pancake was good as well. That thing was particularly large. Well, I think the group ordered the large. Lol. It would be filling if you were to get this as the main entree. The corn cheese with crab meat was good. It was gooey and sizzling hot. Though I'm not sure why it's $12.99 (sort of pricey) and under the main dish section... Regardless, it's still good! The pan fried Spam with egg was interesting. It was literally slices of fried Spam with an egg coating. Dare I say yummy?! Came here to try out the braised spicy angler (agu-jjim). FOOD: Braised Spicy Angler - The angler had great texture and was chewy (in a good way!). The bean sprouts were fresh and paired well with the sauce. The sauce was also the perfect amount of spicy, not too spicy where you can't tell what the actual taste is. Green Chive Korean Pancake - Very crispy, not oily at all, and the onion added an extra layer of flavor with the green chives. SERVICE/EXPERIENCE: When we entered, they didn't have any private booths left so made us a makeshift one in the center of the restaurant. Can't say much since it's a drinking place and we were seated in a place where they usually don't seat anyone but the table was not cleaned AT ALL. We lightly swept the table with a napkin and a lot of gunk came off. Apart from this though, the server was extremely busy (he was working the hall alone) but took great care of us and even gave us the green chive pancake as service for the wait. Overall the first impression started off as one star but the food and service bumped it up to 3 stars. read more

This place will do so much better if the restaurant was not deep inside the lengthy plaza. Once you are inside, you are taken care of like a family member. The service is impeccable, and the business makes sure you are having a good time. The place offers food and drinks, Korean and imported/exported beer, etc. If you also spend enough, the business provides "service" items, which is really nice of them. My experience here was great. We ordered few food items, including the seafood rice "tang", which is basically a stew of crispy rice with hearty amount of seafood. Many Koreans enjoy this soup based dish with soju and other types of liquor. We also opted for a spicy blood sausage stir fry, which is basically soondae bokkeum. The spice level was on point, and it paired so well with the alcohol we ordered. We also had some "service" dishes such as fries and other finger foods (fruits and such), and we ended up spending hours here. I think this is a clutch place to relax, drink, eat, and enjoy a good company of people. If you are ever in this area, check it out! read more

Chui Ha Go took replaced the previous Korean fried chicken restaurant here, A Chon Dak Han Ma Ri. I didn't realize it until we walked in and got a crazy sense of deja vu - the seating and restaurant layout was so eerily familiar, although I knew for sure I had never been to Chui Ha Go before. However, we noticed that A Chon Dak Han Ma Ri had indeed shut down and this was a whole new menu. We walked in pretty late since we were hungry but wanted to grab a late dinner after watching a movie. The restaurant was quiet and pretty empty, but there were still a few groups of people finishing up their meals. The menu wasn't the easiest to maneuver but we finally decided to go family style and ordered a few dishes to share among the five of us. We ordered a Korean fried chicken, a hot pork and octopus stir fry dish and a seafood pancake. The banchan was fresh and delicious. The tofu dish was so good we asked for refills (but it didn't come in the first refill, rather, only the second time we asked for refills). Even so, everything we tried was unique and fresh. The seafood pancake was a bit doughy and chock full of jalapeño peppers. It was super spicy (deliciously so) but completely unexpected for those who didn't want jalapeño seeds in every bite. The stir fry dish was also spicy, but after the pancake, didn't seem to burn as badly. The octopus was over cooked and hard to chew, but the small pieces of pork were pretty tasty. The Korean fried chicken was the best part of the meal. Although it was a little bland and the breast meat was a little dry, the skin was so crispy and perfect, I couldn't complain. Our server was nice about bringing banchan refills, but when we asked for the third time, she told us that it was our "last time" in a reprimanding voice. I don't think I've ever been told that before in a Korean restaurant. Overall, the meal wasn't anything special but if looking for something different for a late night snack, this is the spot. We were already somewhat full so we just ordered makgulli(korean rice wine) and a haemulpajeon(seafood pancake). They also gave us side dishes and the pancake was really good. They have curtains to give each tables privacy while they drink. I think the atmosphere is really good for dates, couples, big group of friends that want a private experience. read more

If you are looking for authentic Korean bar food, look no further. I love how they have private booths, which are perfect for a birthday/celebration. I also loved the huge painting of a cow they had on their wall. I kind of want it hanging up in my house. Most important-The food is amazing, I especially love the banchan selection. I always see the same banchan when I go to Korean restaurants but Chui Ha Go Pocha offers things that I haven't seen in a very long time. Very unique. Another thing to note-I don't think I've ever seen a cleaner bathroom.I am a stickler for clean bathrooms and they passed the test. This is definitely a late night kind of place. Food is great service is awesome. Went there to have dinner with friends. This place serve Korean food to chicken wings to snacks. We had a group of 7 people and we order 2 budaejigae which 1 can serve 2 people or more and we also got soondae bukgom with chicken feet and wings! They gave us a lot of service!! All the food we order was 10/10. Great place to drink and have fun with friends. They open 4pm-2am. Must try!! read more
