Staying in Harlingen for a couple weeks for work I wanted to stop and check out the local nightlife one saturday after work. I stopped in here and the place is huge. They had a dj playing music which was a little too loud, it's not like anyone was up there dancing. Kind of a turn off. They had a couple good beers on draft but half were tapped out. There were some cute single ladies at the bar which was definitely a plus and the place was somewhat busy. I didn't have anything to eat but I saw a guy eating so I know they serve food. This is a fun "rooftop" type bar in Harlingen. It is on the second floor (making it rooftop for Harlingen) and open to the air. So it can get very chilly or very hot depending on the weather. They have great drink specials every day, Fridays is $3 amaretto sours and Long Island iced teas and cranberry vodkas. On weekend nights, they have a live band that plays songs from the 90s or early 2000s. There's two pool tables and plenty of seating for groups. And they also do hookah. read more

I would highly encourage you to not step foot in this place. I hate leaving bad reviews but I've tried calling them to resolve my issue but they have not answered in the 10 times that I have attempted to reach them. The bartender, who I thought was pretty nice at the time, took upon herself to charge things on my credit card and to tip herself extra when I wasn't even given a credit card slip to sign. The icing on the cake? She handed me my card as I was leaving and told me that someone in our party had covered the three drinks so nothing would be charged on my credit card. If I could give this place 0 stars, I would, just because of the bartender. I lived in Houston my whole life and have traveled to many big cities going to many bars and I have never experienced anything like this before. I just moved to Harlingen and have been to Tipsy and Ramsey's which I like but I've always liked the vibe at the point even though it's always dead so my boyfriend and I always end there but tonight was awful. I bartended for a few years through college so I know doubles go in pint glasses, not singles because it's too much liquid for one shot. When we asked about the drink proportion, the bartender got defensive but to the server she offered to give us an extra shot for our two drinks. My boyfriend ordered a shot prior and we poured the shot into the glasses but I noticed it had absolutely no smell. I smelled his shot glass and it smelled like alcohol, I smelled our extra shot and it smelled like nothing! I know the tricks, this is nothing new. We went to ask the bartender what was going on and she was super rude!! Like sorry girly but we are 2 out of 8 people in here, why are you being weird? Every time we have been there its always dead! Wouldn't you want repeat customers? I honestly wouldn't go here and we tipped our server because she was nice but I hope the bartender was happy tonight with her $20 total tips! Its a cool bar for this town just wished the waitresses were more helpful. But still its a cool place to go to.

I have been here dozens of times over the last few years, both before and after they opened the rooftop area, and have enjoyed it overall. I especially like coming on cooler nights where I can enjoy the upstairs area and not be dripping sweat. It is a popular place and is usually packed, especially the upstairs area where an assortment of bands perform. The downstairs area is chill and definitely less packed. It is also where you must go if you want draft beer, which I recommend based on price alone. Speaking of prices, I am not a fan of buying bottled beers here. $4.50 for a 12 ounce bottle of a Mexican import is silly, especially when Carlito's only a block away charges $5.50 for a tall 22 ounce. If you go the draft route at The Point you can get some 16 ounce drafts for $3.75, which is a much better value than buying bottled beer upstairs. I believe this is also the only establishment in Harlingen to serve/sell Hookahs. I haven't purchased one myself but friends of mine have and the staff was attentive in getting the goods to us. They also have different smoke flavors as well, all of which I have found enjoyable. read more

If you live here you have no other choice but if you're from out of town trying to spend your well earned money somewhere this place is the worst... from the second not the minute but the second we walked in the bartender "Britney " her real name is "zandra" was a rude ass scrooge ... we voiced a concerns bout how cold it was upstairs and if we could pull down a curtain and she said no because no manager was on duty but we could just leave... and when we told her we knew it'd be cold here and still being in sweaters we were still cold she said why did we come here if we knew it was cold... I'm sorry but that's not customer service at all...the only reason we didn't leave is because we have a party meeting us here and it's to late to change location... this place is the worst because if the inexperienced people they have here... if this was my business I wouldn't leave it to people like her ... especially during this time when lots of people are coming in from out of town.. no wonder it's empty even with these drink specials ... never again hopefully management reads this and cleans house ...ok edit....sitting here freezing two guys walked on and they pulled down the section I had previously asked for that she said only a manager could pull down read more
