There is a reason this place has a 5.0.... It's outstanding. I have been coming here since 2014. Most recently I started coming more frequently because of a shoulder impingement I developed from working out that prohibited me from lifting my arm above my head. It started in September and I didn't think to come to Amir until November when nothing else was helping and the pain didn't go away. After a few visits- the pain was gone and I could lift my arm again. I was thrilled but also sad because I didn't need to see him as regularly. But I go back just for the sheer enjoyment of my conversations with Amir. He can take one look at you, feel your pulse and then, come back with an exact diagnosis of what's going on mentally, physically, emotionally. I suffered from a disregulated nervous system and was on a journey to regulate it through many different venues, acupuncture being one of them. Naturally, I had to seek out an acupuncturist. Luckily Amir took my ppo student anthem insurance so it only costed 40 dollars a session which is very affordable for the results. He will work on different points for things beyond what you came in to deal with (for example, sinus congestion among other ailments). He gets to know you on a personal level and makes you feel safe and comfortable. I would recommend going 1 a week maybe once every other week but it really depends on what your coming in for as well as what he recommends. Amir is a special kind of healer - I went in for joint pain and mentioned in passing a problem with chronic congestion I was having. I've never had acupuncture, but whatever he did, I woke up BREATHING normally from my nose. My joints feel slightly better, but nasal challenges have at least for now been a hundred percent alleviated. This is worth the price of admission. He taught me some effective stretches to use, adjusted my standing and gave a VERY deep tissue massage. The acupuncture itself is not painful (the ones in the hand weren't exactly comfortable, but Amir warned me about that). I was able to relax and almost doze for about 20 minutes. The bed was super comfy, and the room was indeed warm. On a couple of logistic points, there's plenty of free parking (in the Encino Town Center Plaza), the restroom is off location, so plan accordingly, and Amir was super flexible with my schedule. And speaking more to his generosity and humanity, while I was lying in bed looking like the victim of porcupine attack, he was reaching out to my insurance company to find if they covered regular treatments. Turns out his office doesn't but he informed me I could get up to 30 sessions a year at $10 a pop. I'm so grateful to Amir for caring about my bottom line more than he cares about his. This kind of medical integrity is so rare, so if he's covered under your insurance and you're doing research, stop, you found the guy. If you don't have insurance, and you're looking for a top of the line professional, stop, you found the guy. And if you're looking for someone to confidently guide you through your first acupuncture experience, stop, you found the guy. Saw Amir again today. My foot is hurting in places other than the part I had surgery on 7 weeks ago. He explained that I am still guarding that spot, and now other parts are compensating for it. He treated my foot, shoulder, and stomach. Always so comfortable here. He makes it fun, even if some spots hurt a little when the needles go in. LOL! He is always on time with his appointments, and the room is nice and warm. He has great strong massage techniques as well. read more

I just wanted to update because I'm not receiving therapeutic massage as well as Acupuncture and now cupping from here. First we'll go with the Cupping: Montana- is an expert in the craft of cupping. Now if you think your back looks horrible afterwards it does. But the cupping alternating with the acupuncture keeps my pain levels around a 4 for the first couple of days then gradually back up to a 6. It use to go back up to a 7 or 8 before she introduced the cupping. Phenominal is to say the least. This from someone skeptical to begin with about acupuncture LOL! Angela - I've been through a lot of massage specialists, but Angela takes the cake. She knows how to apply just the right amount of pressure, by reading your body signs as her hand fly around your muscles pinpointing and targeting just the right spots. After she was done with me this last time I could breathe better after she manipulated the muscles around my lungs to release their tension holds. A++ for treatment from her. All of these therapies are alternating, but the alternation keeps me sane and not having to take medications to kill pain, which is a lot healthier for my system. Thank you gals! read more

Montana sits you down and asks you a series of health questions in order to better place the needles for acupuncture. She also gives amazing holistic health tips based upon what you share with her. I have been seeing Montana for several months now and think she is amazing. I am trying acupuncture at the recommendation of a neurologist for headaches/migraines. Montana is a gentle calming soul who takes the time at every session to listen to what's been happening and how you are doing. No session ever starts without a chat about you first. Like many, I had never had acupuncture before and Montana explained everything to me and has a very gentle hand. Now to the best part, her massages! Wow, this woman's hands are amazing. I went to see Amir for pain relief related to herniated discs in my neck. What I expected was to meet someone interested in getting a new patient, providing a service and calling it a day. I have been seeing Montana at The Pointe Acupuncture for a few months now. She has been helping regulate and soothe my menses with weekly acupuncture visits and Chinese herbs.
