I am a current resident at The Pointe at Collier Hills and I have a month and a few weeks left on the year lease that I signed. I have never truly regretted making a decision especially one that pertains to my shelter. You'd think with paying close to $2000 a month, the level of service and just the overall interaction with the management staff would be better. I should've known when I initially moved in that I'd have problems here. A friend of mine moved here a few months prior and felt that things could be better only after I had made the decision to move into the apartment community was that expressed to me. I have added the pictures to better explain and give a visual of my current situation. This is one of many incidents that have taken place since I moved into the apartment community. Just to briefly give a summary of my experience upon moving in I was never walked through my apartment I was literally handed the keys and a folder with paperwork. I had to ask for them to send me the link to pay my rent for the first time because it was never explained. Well it was never sent and they also added a late fee although I had asked an hour before the late fee was added. That's the first situation and I've experienced multiple. A water incident back in July, multiple maintenance situations, my guest was harassed and held up at the gate by a resident and the management condoned it right in front of me and made an excuse even, a break in occurred in November and my glass was broken out of the back patio door and it took them over a week to fix it. I am here now, yet again another water incident which resulted in the ceiling falling down along with gallons of water onto myself and my dog in the wee hours of the morning. The pictures posted are real time pictures of the state of my apartment for 11 days after the water incident occurred on 12/10/18. Not one time did the management ask was I ok nor had they even attempted to come over to check the state of my apartment which was uninhabitable. They told me I'd have to go through my insurance company again for the 3rd time and I have still not been handled appropriately, the company's attorney even attempted to treat me inappropriately and talk to me very aggressively. Empathy is clearly not the company's strong point and they seem to struggle handling things in a timely manner. I have been told they don't know who the properties insurance company is, which is what the property manager told me. The attorneys have yet to comply with me the property manager told me they are dealing with a very big case. I asked to speak with the owners and the property manager told me (even after I expressed this situation has yet to be resolved or really talked through after almost a month) that I should keep in mind it is a holiday week and not everyone is in the office. This has been the most mentally, physically and spiritually draining occurrence that has transpired in my life to date and between me having to be mishandled almost on a daily through my correspondence with the management. I have experienced a decline in everything in my life from this situation, my professional/financial , academic, and just my mental/physical health. Even when I've expressed this in my several attempts to settle this matter, I feel the property manager thinks it's a joke because she constantly chuckles, giggles and I suppose she attempting to make me smile throughout the process of dealing with such a chaotic situation but I have yet to find any humor or reason to smile at any point since this all transpired, as I have truly been trying to maintain composure and keep my mind off of it all to keep from breaking. I am exhausted at this point and wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy. All I ask is for those seeking an apartment community to consider checking into the reviews and truly making sure you are informed. To management or a word of advice to the owners get new management staff or promote the assistant property manager because she's much more proactive and handles things accordingly. It's truly disheartening and I feel like I'm in a bad dream but typing this makes me realize it's my reality. The pictures show how the maintenance moved around and broke my very expensive antique/ retro hand painted Italian furniture, how the third party restoration company used my dishes and left urine on my toilet seat and just left my home in disarray. P.S. They haven't prorated my rent, never asked me to move into another unit until the work was done and I almost had to beg them to clean it after they were done destroying my personal belongings. read more

Office staff is always kind, friendly and efficient, and maintenance staff is quick to find issues and resolve them. Move in was on 8/5/19; no AC; dirty Air Filter; NEST was being installed as we moved in. Day 3 no AC; Inspection Report items not attended to and apartment is unlivable on the 3rd floor with no AC. 3 Nights spent elsewhere. Day 4 hope that they finally attend to the punch list and get some cool air going. Definitely the apartment was NOT move in ready! Holding breath things might improve! I have just moved within the complex due to upcoming renovations on my old apartment. The Pointe is a nice enough place to live and the maintenance staff is terrific. The office staff is all very friendly but seem to have some serious communication issues. I could not be more disappointed in being nickeled and dimed by them. I've lived at The Pointe for almost two years and I have had a great experience. The maintenance staff and front office ladies are quick to respond and address concerns. There are a lot of community events and weekly food trucks. It really feels like you're living in a neighborhood here. The location is also close to Midtown, Downtown, and Buckhead without feeling like you're in the middle of a city. read more

This used to be a relatively peaceful and tidy property. Then the property was sold to VillageGreen properties. With some of the most beautiful weather we're having this spring, we aren't able to access the pool due to construction. They state, please excuse our 20 Million Dollar renovations, when were still paying for amenities unavailable to us. I've lived here for over 3 years and have thus far enjoyed my time here. However, having to pay more than I did when I first arrived to get less, seems like price gouging. It would be wise for management to extend a fair discount while all the construction is going on. Rather than offer use of other amenities at other properties not even in the same neighborhood. It's really sad how poor the management has become here. read more

I would give them no stars is Yelp allowed it. I only recommend applying here if you want them to steal your money. I applied and paid the requested deposit. Was told I was approved for the unit but had to wait until after the holiday for details. I never heard back from them. I called and called and email numerous times with no response. I checked on online to find my application deleted mot denied or approved but deleted. Once I was finally able to speak to someone I was told they couldn't read my paystubs and canceled my application. No one ever reach out to me to get new income verification. We moved into Pointe at Collier Hills about 6 months ago. Read some not so encouraging reviews but glad they were totally wrong. We haven't had many issues here just small things that were easily repaired by the staff. Everything was promptly addressed and we now love living here. The apartments themselves are very nice and spacious and renovated. The layout of them is very convenient and we liked that the units included washer and dryer. We're happy to live here close to everything! read more

The Pointe at Collier Hills is by far the worst community I've ever lived in. I was a resident for just five months before ending my lease and moving elsewhere. There were serious problems from the very beginning. We moved into a two-bedroom apartment last summer with no working A/C. The Nest thermostat in our unit was completely inoperative. As luck would have it, half of our windows would not open and the other half would immediately slam shut. There was absolutely no way to cool the apartment. The maintenance team waited to re-seal our bathtub the morning we moved in. We were told it had to set for 48 hours before we could use it. Additionally, there was a hornet nest directly above the door to our balcony. Between the unbearable heat and the chemical fumes in our bathroom and bedroom, we were unable to sleep in our apartment the first night. The next morning, we requested a new Nest be installed asap. A second previously-used Nest was not installed until three days later, and it was also faulty. It could not hold a charge for longer than an hour. Without continuous air conditioning throughout the night, we were again unable to sleep in our apartment. We immediately requested a new Nest thermostat be installed asap. The leasing staff finally ordered a new Nest, but it was not installed until day #8. For a total of three nights, we could not sleep in our apartment. For a total of eight days, our apartment lacked a fully functional A/C system. One day during our second week, I was walking out of our bedroom toward the living room. I stepped on a nail which drew blood from my toe. None of the carpet tacks were nailed flat by maintenance. There were literally a couple dozen upward facing nails along the entrances to our bedroom and bathroom. We had a number of letters go missing as the outdoor mail area was routinely vandalized. The master doors that open all residents' mailboxes were unlocked for anyone to open. The leasing staff said the mailboxes were USPS property and they couldn't install new locks. When I went to USPS, I was told the locks were recently replaced and it was The Pointe's responsibility to install security measures to prevent further break ins. When I conveyed this information to the leasing staff, they continued to shift the blame onto USPS. It was very clear they were getting annoyed with residents constantly inquiring about the issue. Eventually they installed a camera, but the break ins continued. When I asked if they could review the footage to catch the criminal, they said there were too many hours of footage to watch. The problem was never fixed and pieces of mail are still stolen to this day. I've posted a photo I took the day we moved out (Feb. 1, 2019) for your reference. The package room with the LuxerOne system was also not secured. Sometimes the door to the package room wasn't even locked. I had three packages go missing (two of which disappeared within the same week). This was a major problem at The Pointe. Countless residents had packages stolen regularly. If your package was placed in a large shared locker, it was much more likely to be stolen. Many residents left packages in lockers for extended periods of time. When all the lockers were full, the delivery people would leave dozens of packages on the ground. When packages were not placed in a locker, you did not receive a delivery notification and your package was usually taken. When I approached the leasing staff about this, I was essentially told I was out of luck and there was nothing they could do. There are piles of dog poop and litter throughout the property. I can't count the number of times I stepped in dog poop, especially during my last few months there. There's no designated groundskeeper to maintain the community's sanitation or appearance. If you plan to use the fitness room, you will see children every day after school running and playing on equipment unsupervised. My 12 month experience here was quiet interesting. The staff seemed to open me and my roommates with open arms , but this was far from the case. Once we got settled in our apartment we started experiencing problems instantly. One of the major problems was the fact that we went several weeks multiple times without air after reporting this issue with the leasing office and maintenance staff multiple times. One think that I still can't believe is that we were basically living underwater our entire stay. Our apartment seemed to have mold in it for months including the celling walls and even linen closet. I am writing this because I am truly disheartened by the way things are being handled. A situation that didn't initially directly affect me has turned into a nightmare for myself and especially for my cousin who is the resident at The Pointe. I visit him often because we are close and truly the only family each other have in the state of Georgia. I have a longtime friend that lives in the community also so we all see one another often. When the pipe bursted in his ceiling on 12/10/18 I thought that was enough but to add problem to cause I have had to witness one of the most resilient individuals I know be broken down day by day. In the process of helping him out with his dog I was hurt stumbling over one of the two industrial fans that the maintenance crew failed to remove from his home after being asked to do so from the beginning of the restoration process, after they were no longer of use. I tried to act as if it's ok, but it's not and if he wasn't my cousin I'd be a little more proactive in pursuing this matter legally because I have been on a weight loss journey for some time now that has been adversely affected and almost put to a STOP by the injury I incurred a little over two weeks ago at his apartment home. I pray for myself but more importantly my cousin and if I could take on the burden that has been placed upon him by the very dysfunctional and unprofessional management staff there at The Pointe I would. If you are looking for an apartment, the first caution I would give to you is that Post Collier Hills has been around for quite a few years and as of 6/21/2014, it only has 1 other review of the property. I've been a resident at Post Collier Hills since 2012 and I can tell you from experience that looks can certainly be deceiving. While it is true, Post Collier Hills has absolutely gorgeous landscaping, what the plethora of lush foliage hides behind its branches are an unfriendly staff and poor maintenance practices, and an unsafe property. Unsafe Property: When I first visited the property one of the communities biggest selling points was the on duty police office who "patrolled" the property. This was a big thing, as the property is in the middle of Atlanta. This proved to be untrue as in the time I've been here I've never seen a police officer on the property (however when you visit the property you will still see a vacant "guard shack" at the front office.) Since we have lived at this property Post has experienced 5 auto break ins that they've had to alert the residents about. Packages: Unlike most offices that protect your packages in a private room that only staff can access, Post Collier Hills simply puts your packages in a room that is accessed with a keycard . The catch? Every resident has a key card that access this room and the room is located behind the office. Last Christmas, the office experienced a rash of theft in which residents had packages stolen from the package room. Of course, if you complained about the lackadaisical security and care given to your personal property you were greeted with the customary Post Collier Hills refrain "We are not liable". Poor Maintenance Practices: While I must concede that Post Collier Hills has some of the most beautiful landscaping I've seen in Atlanta, its subsequent upkeep leaves a bit to be desired. In the summer, as with all apartments and homes in the city, residents experience an influx of insects. The problem with Post is that they rarely have apartments serviced by extermination technicians. Last summer I put in a request to get my apartment treated for the large german cockroaches that roamed the halls in June. This request was never addressed. Gates: Post Collier Hills is a gated community. The only problem with this is how often the gates are broken. On two separate weekday mornings both exits out of the property were broken, leaving many to have to make a dreaded call to work, providing a nearly unbelievable reason as to why you can't get to work on time. The Staff: The office staff is quite easily the worst part of the Post Collier Hills experience. Never have a met an assortment of people who will go so far out of their way to do so little for their residents. Phones are routinely never answered, unless they need to contact you of course. Problems are rarely attended to. Last year my wife and I lived above a young guy who used his apartment as a recording studio, when the noise got so bad it rattled our windows at 10pm at night I placed a call to the office the next morning. The office's reply was simply "I doubt it was that loud" and "If it's THAT disruptive then call the cops". I can't deny that they have a beautifully landscaped property with a wonderful pool area. If those are your biggest selling points, then by all means, give Post a try. If you are looking for a little more for the high rent you will pay, I'd suggest trying elsewhere, as I will once my lease has ended. read more

Yelp lets you view a review curve and I recommend you do that. You can see that it has recently gone up. This is because the management is manipulating you by paying residents to write a review during the first couple of months they move in. That is before the problems will start. The problems started for us about 6 months after living here. Those 6 months have been terrible. We were once locked and stuck INSIDE our apartment for a couple of hours while waiting for maintenance. They then said someone must have tried to kick in our door. Which could only have been before we ever moved in so why did they not look at this safety hazard before we moved in? It's very disrespectful and presumptuous to think it had anything to do with us. At the time we had had exactly THREE Visitors and none of them did anything like that. Extremely unsafe living conditions and disrespectful team. We pointed out to them at the start that the deadbolt was looking messed up. I could go on for so long about the mistakes the management and maintenance have made but honestly, they're just that, mistakes. The worst part about it all is how poorly they handled each problem and mistake which is exactly a managers job. Save yourself the cash and the headaches and just live somewhere else. read more

We've been at this apartment for about a month now and overall no major complaints. The ladies in the front office are friendly and accommodating. Our first encounter with Nicole from maintenance was lovely. She saw us attempting to take multiple boxes to the trash with our car and offered to take them for us and at that point we decided we absolutely love this apartment. Fantastic apartment community with friendly staff, prompt maintenance and fun amenities. I rarely visit the leasing office, but when I do I'm always greeted quickly by the friendly staff. When I do have a maintenance request (not often), it's responded to within 24 hours or less. I love the amenities - fitness center with Peloton bikes, ping pong tables, table shuffleboard, bocce court, resort style pool, and the car wash. The location is fantastic as it's right next to 75, some great fast restaurants, and a section of the beltline trail. read more

I have lived here for 5 years, have nothing but great things to say about this complex and the staff. The rent rate is a great value for the area, and is so without compromising the service and property. The renovations that were just finished on the gym, pool, tennis/bocce courts, etc are superb. The members of the RAM Partners staff ALWAYS are extremely communicative and upfront about all events and issues going on at the complex....far more than most other management companies. I lived here when this complex was owned by Post as well. Although Post was a great company (when they still existed) and was known as the "elite" multifamily owner/manager in Atlanta, I think RAM Partners has provided at least the same level of service. I really appreciate that RAM Partners has invested even more money in the property to enhance it. Last night the underground water main broke (which is not their fault), and the staff STAYED UNTIL 2AM to deliver gallons of bottled water to each resident and monitor the fix. They easily could have asked residents to get their own water and reimburse, but they delivered a higher level of service. I honestly don't know how they could have handled the situation better. They went above and beyond! The problem was fixed in around 12 hours, which is pretty impressive for such a catastrophic issue. Thank you RAM Partners staff for your hard work! read more

I wish I could say nice things about this place, but it's been a disaster since I moved in here. I've made it my personal agenda today to make sure no one else makes the same mistake by moving in here. I've had 7 maintenance issues since I've moved in, and I've only been here a few months. I didn't have a washer/dryer upon move in, my flooring with literally coming up off the ground, there was a water leaks above me, my tub lining is peeling off, and my patio is completely covered in spiders and cob webs as if it's never been cleaned, let alone cleaned before my move in date. The pipes busted and they haven't accommodated us at all, other than saying "sorry, oh well" and giving us paper towels and generic hand soap to dry off and clean ourselves in a public pool restroom . It's 60 degrees. I pay 1,400 a month to live like I'm paying 700. I can't wait to break this lease. Find somewhere else to burn your hard earned money read more

It's about to be 1 month since we moved into The Pointe and I am counting days until we move out. The biggest issue I have with this apartment complex is how unkept and unclean our building is. It looks abandoned. I have yet to see housekeeping actually cleaning the halls. The floors and stairs are dusty with lots of dirty spots. After it rains, the water pools in the hallway for weeks causing mosquitos and flies (see the photos). Our apartment was extremely dirty when we moved in and we were promised to get it cleaned by the cleaners. However, the cleaners came and "cleaned" but we had dust all over the fans, the kitchen cabinets, our bathroom. My husband and I had to pay out of pocket to get our own cleaners. The second issue with the place is the mail room. It is complete chaos! They do not deliver anything at your doorstep which is very inconvenient. So if you order a heavy object, it will be left in the mail room. You have to figure out a way to carry it by hand, up the stairs to your place. They have no cart you can borrow. In addition, we have already lost a package. Your package is just left with many other packages in the box or just left inside the room. Why can't the package be deliver at your doorstep like everywhere else?! Since we have moved in, the toilet from the apartment above us has leaked into our bathroom twice. We hear the neighbors above us all day long. It seems as though management's number one priority is to get new tenants into the units and they are completely failing at working on the issues to improve the place. This 20 million dollar reconstruction is a facade, do not be fooled. read more

Been about 7 months since we moved in. Had a few issues through the time we've been here. The gate was fine for the first few months now it seems to break more often. Never have had issues with break-ins etc. RAM management handles a lot of the minuscule problems very well and in a timely fashion. Overall the property is great and so are the apartments. DO NOT RENT HERE. The new management here is horrible. I've lived at this property for 9 years. NINE YEARS. But I am moving out because the management is so bad. Let me tell you the story. This was a Post property when I moved in and it was wonderful. I never planned on moving. However, last year the property was sold to Village Green and the management changed to RAM management. I've lived in three apartments in this same property. When I transferred to this apartment my move in was delayed because a leak was found in the bathroom. I was able to move in after about a week. HOWEVER, soon after, the leak returned and I had to have more repairs done. I found out later that the manager at the time told the maintenance guys to just "close up" the wall in my bathroom so I could move in without the leak actually being repaired. The entire time I've lived in this apartment there have been leaks happening in either my apartment or my next door neighbor's apartment (and the rest of the building). Side note: she has also lived here for 9 years and is moving out. Because of the leaks, her apartment was damp and she had holes in her bedroom and bathroom walls for MONTHS. We heard different versions but a couple of them included my pipes leaking into her apartment. She had to trash her couch and mattress plus a lot of her other things because they were ruined by moisture or mold. Related to all of the water/plumbing problems, my water/sewer bill has been outrageous. I live alone, take one shower per day and do two loads of laundry and dishes a week. My water bill should be about the same every month. It has ranged up to $120 a month. I'm sure that part of that is because my water has been pouring into my neighbor's apartment. Let's move on to the gates... This is supposed to be a secure complex. When Post was in charge, the gates were kept in pretty good repair. They are old but, when there was a problem it was fixed immediately. There was a point in time when the gates were out of service and Post hired a security guard who stood at the gate and made sure the people coming in actually lived here. A few months ago, we all got an email telling us that they (RAM) were spending $50,000 on a new gate system. The gates are broken. All. The. Time. I guess they pissed away that money. THEN, they have the gall to send everyone an email telling us that there have been break ins to cars and homes and what we should do to be safe. FIX THE GATES. THAT'S WHAT THEY ARE FOR. TO KEEP OUT CRIMINALS. Maintenance is a joke now. When Post was managing, you were sure that any maintenance issue would be resolved the same day. Now, you have to literally go over the leasing office's heads to get anything done. And when they do "fix" something, it's half assed. Since Post left, the property looks like a slum. The landscaped areas are overgrown. They don't empty the outdoor garbage cans and they are overflowing until someone complains. But they have the balls to send the residents an email saying that if you leave your trash outside your door, you're in trouble. The trash compactor gets to the point where it is so overflowing you can't even get close enough to throw your trash into it. We have a vegetable garden. One of the crowning glories of this property. I don't think the current management even knows it's there. They also sent an email about everyone parking in parking spaces or you'll be towed. BUT, a bunch of the parking spaces are blocked. By construction dumpsters, by storage containers, by construction fencing, by the leasing office employees! Here's an example: One day I mentioned to one of the soulless, lying minions in the leasing office that they are blocking access to the mailboxes and package room, in addition to the fitness center and party room for the disabled residents with the construction near the mailboxes and the robot I was talking to-without missing a beat- said that they just realized that the same day and were figuring out what to do. Liar! Fuck you! The management staff are god damn liars, clueless, shitheads that only want to get new renters and once you sign the lease do not give a shit about you. The management here are liars. They will lie right to your face. Please, I'm begging you, don't move in here. read more

The apartments are spacious and clean, and in a prime location (Easy access to I-75, Chipotle, Publix, Fellini's.... the necessities.) The Pointe was the perfect place for us to move after graduating college (mix of younger residents and families) and we loved it so much we've stayed ever since! read more

I wanted to take a moment to say how much I appreciate Charles in the maintenance department. Ive had several issues in my apartment in the few months Ive lived here and he is always attentive and resolves my issues quickly and with care. This past Sunday, he hurried over in the early morning hours to repair my toilet. He is alway so polite and works with care. I truly appreciate him! read more
