This is by far my favorite place ever. As a huge fan of anything poisoned apple, and cider! Helllooooo!!!! This will be the only reason I ever visit Cali again! Visiting from Reno, nv. And I need this back home! Great service, great selection, merchandise, music, everything. Please check it out. Locally owned! Great little spot! I'm obsessed! I don't want to leave.

This is the kind of place you want to come and just hang out at for hours. They have a wide variety of ciders and meads to try. I opted for the $3 tasters this visit and was not disappointed. Had the chance to try many different creations and find what suited my taste the best. The bartender (did not catch his name) was very friendly and totally encouraged my tasting of as many as I liked. There was the cutest dog roaming around and sunbathing in the front window. Made the place feel cozy. Large patio out back to enjoy our beautiful Atascadero weather.

Found out they were opened today and walked over. All the staff and owners were great!! There's 8 ciders, 4 wines. 2 beers, and 4 other misc to try. Seating indoors and out on the patio. A great place to try.

In my journeys with finding amazing ciders to enjoy and pair with our local foods I have run into Cody many times. When I found out that Cody and Devin had opened their own Cider bar/pub (place to hang out) I had to see (and taste) what was going on. First, let me say a good pub if done well has that relaxing feel both in the environment, nice comfortable seating, amazing drinks, and nice people to blend it all together. Even though this place is still young the Poisoned Apple hit all the right notes and just like fine wine (or cider) it is just getting better the more they get in the swing of things. When you walk in there is a darker tone with a lot of nice lighting. A great touch is the lighted Poisoned Apple sign hanging over the bar and rotates between Green and Red. Note to business owners: get a cool focus point for people to take pictures and tag your place! The backyard is amazing as well and at night cool lights hang above just add to that relaxed and fun to hang out vibe. The true awesomeness to the Poisoned Apple is their focus on Cider. They have teamed up with some of the best Central Coast cider makers and carry a ton of the "best of" their ciders. As on rotation it is always fun to go see what's on tap or in the can. Just recently tried a mead and was happily surprised and it tasted great. I think they had like 5 or so on the menu to try as well. Wondering what type of food pairs well with that honey taste, hmm. I heard they have a new vendor that people were raving about to pick up some food to go along with our drink (highly recommended). I have not tried them yet, and I'm on the plan for next time. Now I need to figure out what ciders I want to try as well. So excited to have a rock solid place to hang out on my way back from Paso Robles or making a day trip to Atascadero. Fully recommend trying out the Poisoned Apple and be sure to say hi to Cody and Devin! Now share what is your favorite cider (and pairing)!

    Mead flight

Walked in solo on a Friday night. Instantly I felt welcome and safe. Cody behind the bar saw me checking out the mead menu and he recommended I do a flight - he was right! Each pour was strong and delicious, the honey coming through beautifully. The crowd was chill and I loved the dark, on theme decorations. They had some delicious smash burgers cooking out in the back patio which was an added bonus. Overall, highly recommend this spot for a unique and tasty mead/cider experience.

Found this spot on a walk with my husband downtown Atascadero. Being that I am not much of a beef drinker I appreciated that they had other options. First time trying Cider & Mead and it was amazing! You can taste every note of each ingredient, never had anything like it! Owner was super chill, loved the atmosphere of the place, will be returning for sure.

This is an amazing addition to our local craft scene. An amazing selection oh handles of CIDER a welcome and much needed addition to our craft ale scene. Cody, the proprietor, and his family are some of the kindest people and to see the magic they're creating is fantastic. The indoor space is an applish realm like that of a Disney ride full of deliciousness while the outdoor space is vibrant and refreshing. I see many a night wrapping up here in the future!

Experience the dark side of fairytales! Rich interior of dark colors and natural wood tones pair beautifully with sparkling golden ciders. Multiple ciders on tap - all unique and delicious. The owners have created a memorable experience in downtown Atascadero! Going back soon to try the food truck on the patio that other guests were raving about!!

Given we were staying nearby by, we popped in for a drink or two! And I am glad we did! This cider house has really developed since we've been here last! If you like traditional British cider, then this is your place! If you fancy sweet cider like ACE, then you make want to skip this place! This place offers really dry ciders! Typical of what you will find in the UK! So the name of this cider house is appropriate! The cider are also strong: ciders range from 7-11 percent! Yes 11 percent: that's a good punch for a cider! All the ciders were great! We appreciate the bartender in letting us sample the ciders before getting our pints! The cider house also features music! During music nights the place fills up: so get there early for a good seat! The couch is super comfy! In summary: definitely worth the stop if you like dry cider!

The biggest selling point to me is that people said on Yelp that the ciders are not too sweet, and that's EXACTLY the case. I'm so use to every cider I have always being really sweet, but these are not, just really good flavor. There are multiple ciders on tap, each one having their own backstory. You might think, cider is cider, are the flavors really that different? But each one comes from a different varietal blend of apples and they're also brewed using different methods. There's a menu that tells you about the apples of each one. Each one has a different alcohol content, and they have very unique flavors. I highly recommend getting a sampler flight, then getting a glass of your favorite one. Just be careful, some of them are pretty strong haha so uber or have a designated driver. I also want to add, the bartender was extremely friendly and loved talking about the ciders, and the entire room has a nice whimsical ambiance. The bar has an old-english pub feel to it, and there's a stage in the back of the room that I guess they do music performances on. We came later in the day and had just missed the music, the bartender said that they do a community jam every week where people just bring their instruments and jam out. Sounds really fun! Oh yea, I also forgot to mention as we were about to leave some locals came in and we were talking to them for a bit. Super nice people, this place definitely curates a really welcoming environment great for both locals and out of towners alike. And parking is super easy, it has its own lot, and there's also plenty of street parking because it's located in an industrial cul-de-sac.

Our favorite was Jim's Mead...it has notes of blueberry, blackberry, raspberry, and Newton Pippin apple mead aged in bourbon barrels for 5 years. It was such a tasty surprise that we ended up taking a growler of it back with us. But you can't go wrong with any of the drinks they offer. Service was friendly and the taproom offered cider, craft beer, honey, snacks, etc. It seemed like most folks stopped by for a rest break but it is so much more. The grounds are amazing and the best part was seeing a ton of peacocks roaming around. Unfortunately, on my visit none of them were fanning their feathers. Hopefully next time! They also have an Air BnB on site that you can stay at. It looked really nice! There's plenty of seating in the courtyard area and you're allowed to bring your own food. We just came for a flight tasting, which is only $20 here. The nice part about the flight is that you also have the option to try ciders. They give you casino like chips here to use for each tasting. Great way to keep track! The reason for the three star rating is the lack of customer service. When I go to a winery, I expect the person pouring the wine to explain each one that I'm tasting. There was no explanation at all. Maybe I should of asked, but it was odd for a winery not to do that. The gentleman that poured didn't look too happy to be there either. I cringed each time I had to walk up to get my next pour. He barely said two words to me and I just got the feeling he was mad or upset about something. I wish I would have gotten his name! The girl that helped in the beginning was kind, but she also never explained each pour. Just a weird interaction overall. Would I return here? Yes! I loved the grounds and the peacocks. The wine was decent and I would like to try the ciders next time, but I'll probably go inside the store where they were also pouring wines. Hopefully they know what they're doing! Overall, a great spot to check out and next time I will make it a point to ask for a description of each pour even though I shouldn't have to.
