Amazing experience, my party of four walked in without reservations and was a little to be seated immediately. We sat indoors, which was quite nice. We enjoyed seeing the wine barrels. We ordered the tasting menu, which came with five tastings for $20. Our server, Jordan, helped explain the wines and even helped us understand some of the notes and flavors in each of the wines. We especially loved the whites; the Sancha was a hit, a little acidic at the end, but it was very drinkable. We loved it so much that we took two bottles home with us. Jordan also served us some rose that was open when he heard we were Rose fans, which was very delicious as well. Out of the reds, we enjoyed the 2012 en gedi, which wasn't too dry and had a pleasant aftertaste. All the staff is very professional and definitely can share more about the product, grapes, labeling, and wine making process. We found this experience to be both educational and delicious. Would highly recommend this spot for some diverse and great tasting wines, especially if whites are your go-to!

We wanted a glass of wine in Tin City, and this place offered it. Unfortunately, there was t much seating here, and the staff weren't very attentive after you ordered a glass--which was odd since it was just the two of us and another couple. I was a bit disappointed by that--along with the offerings of wine... now, I am in no way a wine connoisseur...I just know what I like and what I don't...I can't taste the notes of cherry or oak or anything like that...so take my review for what it is....I gave it 3* for the three different wines I tasted...and for the service... Their current wine club offer (7/10/22): * 2 six bottle allocations p/year * 20% off all wine and merchandise * access to club exclusive wines * invites to wine club parties

Came on a Fri afternoon with party of 6 but I was the only one wine tasting. The rest of my party was enjoying the hard cider place which we were told have the same owner. Their patio tables are shared. Only $20 so thought I'd try. I went inside to start & was told they would find me on the patio for the rest of my tastings. That didn't happen as I had to go inside for all my other tastes. 2 people working with a party of 6 inside & party of 6 outside. I did see them serving the larger party outside so sadly a single person wasn't their priority. My tasting pours were so small! The spout kept stopping after a second & she kept having to tip it back & forth even to get a small pour. I didn't care for the wines as well.

Over the bridge and wine tasting we go! This place with covid didn't have the inside open, only to use the restrooms if needed, but they did have a nice outside seating area with barrels turned into tables and stools to help you get started with your tasting. We had a very nice man help us and explain the wines, serve us, leave us alone to taste and didn't hover. We had plenty of people watching to do and we just had a blast. He was very funny too, he came from around our area, so we reminisced about our town and it was a great time. They had more reds than whites, and they were very flavorful, not too heavy, or dry, they had a lovely syrah, it was just a fun time!

    So much deliciousness

This is one of my favorite wineries in paso robles, It's located right in tin city and has great selections of grape based sustenance. Their groundwork rose is delightful, and" the offering " is a must have full of bursting flavors! I highly recommend stopping by for a tasting and picking up a case or two for the collection! The staff is very knowledgeable, and friendly and you might even get to meet the winemakers!

Today, Thursday , they have wines by the glass for $5! What an incredible deal. Since I drink only white wines, I was able to get a generous sample of 3 different wines for less than a tasting! Wines are good but not as good as I remembered before they sold the winery. We had the Diavola pizza and the Porchetta sandwich. The pizza was delicious. The sandwich was pretty good but it was a little dry. We also ended our lunch with a lovely tiramisu. The tiramisu was moist with the right amount of alcohol and cream. Just delicious. Service was great. The staff are very friendly. My son has a dairy allergy and can't have the cheese on regular pizzas. The chef was very accommodating and allowed us to bring in our specially wrapped vegan cheese to use on his pizza. Thank you for this accommodation! Went to their new location which was really convenient since we were going to other wineries near there. It's still a big location. Plenty of seating and they still offer food which we were happy about. Our server was super sweet and knowledgeable which I always appreciate when it comes to wine. We started a tasting and then just tried whatever she gave us which we weren't complaining. Haha. All the wine she was giving us was really good. I was really impressed by their food. I wanted more of everything. We got their bruschetta al Fresco, hummus, monte Bianca pizza, and one other pizza. I fell in love with their bruschetta. We got there right as there kitchen closed which was a bummer because I wanted more. Overall, I still enjoy their wine. Their location is really nice. Food is delicious. We are the type of members who always take great care of the staff and rarely leave without purchasing extra bottles, yet today we were treated like an inconvenience. Despite being told in the past that spontaneous visits were no problem for members, we were turned away on a gloomy Monday with plenty of open tables. The host at the entrance was incredibly dismissive and wouldn't even let us finish our sentence before cutting us off. We were told our only options were to come back in an hour, a "limited" tasting, drive all the way downtown, or just pick up our shipment and leave. We asked for the Wine Club Manager to resolve the situation, but she wasn't on-site. To be offered a "partial" tasting as a favor after nearly ten years of support was the final straw. It feels as though they now prioritize "closing" new members over honoring the people who have supported them for years. They've gone mainstream and lost the personal touch that made them special.

And after a drive that reminded me of the beginning of "The Shining" with all of the winding roads, I arrived, sat down overlooking the valley, and told my wine guy flat out what I started this review with. He was slightly taken aback and treated me with a "let's change your mind" attitude. As I waited for my first sample, I couldn't help but notice the view. It was the best view of all of the wineries I've visited and based on the other reviews, I'm not wrong. They used their plot of land well to Wow their guests... I sampled quite a few wines and liked a lot of them. The ones here are apparently different than the DAOU that's in most stores and restaurants. That's a shame actually... I was here in the morning so it was freezing cold out. I'd recommend for a morning tasting, bring a jacket or something (I was there in May). But as the morning neared its end, the sun warmed things up. My wine guy brought some crackers also as I was feeling a bit queasy from guzzling wine so early. Nice touch and prevented the hallways from looking like "The Shining" too. I also enjoyed watching and playing with Cheetoh, the cat who hung around the outside. He was pretty chill and friendly. He followed my wine guy around and let me pet him (the cat, not the wine guy). I'm glad I went and was upfront about why I was there. I think he appreciated it too and he did change my mind about DAOU. I get that it's a business so you gotta sell to the masses, but make some of these others available to us common folk. If I'm ever in Paso Robles again, I'm making sure to make a reservation here and get one of those wood fired pizzas! And maybe they'll take my idea and make a Lizzie Bordeaux! The patio is a beautiful spot to taste, and if you're there later in the day, the sunset views are hard to beat. Definitely do the free cave tour while you're there. It's one of the coolest winery tours I've been on. The caves are a massive labyrinth carved into the hillside and naturally stay around 55 degrees year round, which is where they age a lot of their wine before bottling. Even if you've been to a lot of wineries, this is something a little different. At the time I'm writing this, tastings are still complimentary, which is almost unheard of these days.
