The Polished Nail is most definitely exceptional in every way and is deserving of highest praise and commendation. The nail artists are outstanding in their skills and talents, carefulness, and desire to please and accommodate the needs and requests of their clients. The salon is impeccably clean and the atmosphere is quietly relaxing and lovely. The staff and artists are wonderfully welcoming, respectful, and kind. I regularly go to Polished Nail for gel or dip manicures and also for the deluxe pedicures. My manicures and pedicures never chip and it is obvious upon visiting the salon that the nail artists are meticulous about their work and focused on gratifying their clients with beautiful nails. Cuticles are always perfectly and gently trimmed, feet and hands carefully smoothed and moisturized, and nails clipped and/or filed to the specific length and shape described and requested by the client. In addition, the leg and foot massages with warm stones are amazingly relaxing and soothing. Again, every detail is handled with precision and skill and I have been to no salon where satisfaction of the client seems so important to the owners and artists. I have had the pleasure of Linda being my nail artist for almost three years when new ownership of the salon began. (Note that reviews prior to three years seem irrelevant since this wonderful salon changed ownership at about that time.) She is outstandingly talented and always pleasant in providing her services. I have often taken guests with me to the salon and they have repeatedly complimented the services of the other artists as well. I have been to many nail salons through the years, mostly in the Chicago area. I have never received better manicures and pedicures. The place was nice, I enjoyed chatting with the clients. The man that did my pedicure wasn't great. I paid for a $50 pedicure with gel, which included foot massage, etc. I got French, the white line is way too big, the toes look decent, but he didn't do a great job on the bottom of my feet or calluses at all. When I went to pay, it was $75 + tip. $25 extra for French on my toes. Usually costs like $7-10 extra for a french, even in NYC, and they do a much better job! The bottoms of my feet are still dry and not very soft and smooth. Disappointed but at least the top of my feet look better. read more

I was looking for a new nail salon and found this place . The $35.00 standard pedicure and $20.00 for gel polish $55.00 was not great ! They only soak your feet for no more then 4 minutes they never trimmed my cuticle or push them back . I asked for callus remover they told me it does not include that in the standard pedicure . I would need to spend $45.00 on an upgraded pedicure and $20.00 for the gel polish and that would include the callus remover and longer soaking time . My feet look good on top but not on the bottom . Not worth the money for $90.00 plus tip to still have callus on my feet ! read more

I am not a person who gets regular manicures or pedicures but I was so pleased with The Polished Nails - best gel manicure and spa pedicure. Walked in no appointment and only waited 10 minutes, not recommended- but this was last minute to see if they could fit me in. Jillian was so engaged and accommodating to not just me but all of the ladies (and a gentleman) getting a variety of nail services. My nail tech actually suggested a different application of the gel nail polish, because I only like very light coverage so when the polish wears off, it is less noticeable to grow out, and she doesn't feted a different technique to accomplish exactly the color and coverage I needed. Was really impressed with one technician who was assisting an elderly woman who was looking for advise on what serve she should get once she looks at the state of her toes. She was not pressuring her but taking the time to explain which service off the menu she should pick- the woman needed some assistance and she was so helpful. Pedicure massage of my legs with hot stones and silky lotion made my feet look like a Cinderella ready for the glass slipper! Place was very clean and sanitary (always a must), and reasonable pricing. I actually should have upgraded my pedicure because I have neglected my feet for a while, they have a menu option for a pedicure that takes care of your callouses. read more

Joan is incredible. I am not even through with my mani pedi and I am already writing my review. She treated me like actual royalty and made sure I was comfortable with everything she was doing from temperature of things to cutting cuticles making sure I was not in pain. She is the absolute sweetest thing. Walking in everyone was so welcoming and helped me match my colors to what I was looking for and they NAILED it (lol no pun intended). They don't offer any "perks" like beverages, not even water, so needless to say... already not worth the money. The energy here is so weird bc the employees won't talk to you, the owners wife Van always has an attitude until one of her regulars walks in exuberantly greets them, Chris (unlike other salon owners) is so rude and will never pick up a tool to help his staff... definitely feels like toxic working conditions! Another thing that sets this place apart from any place I have ever been is their ventilation system. I have a rare lung disease so this seriously attracted me to this salon. I've been coming here awhile for gel polish. All the nail techs I've had have done a wonderful job so I don't book an appointment with anyone in particular. UNTIL the man working there did my nails. It seems like all the bad reviews involve him. It's my opinion that he needs to stop doing nails immediately and get retrained. The appointment started out fine - he filed down the old polish with the drill (which I'm fine with) then put on a solution to dissolve the polish then instead of scraping off the old polish he used the drill again. I never had it done this way before- but he's the professional (?) so I trusted the process. I have very strong nails - but drilling twice made them weak and the day after my nails began to crack at the nail bed. So now I'm left with messy weak nails - and due to my busy schedule I don't have the time to get them redone. If they book you with him - ask for someone else. read more

My Husband and I came here this past week end Oct 14,17. This is His 2nd time here and my first getting my nails done here. We are from out of town. Love it here and look forward to coming back next time we are in town. Vanna did My Husband's nails and Michelle did mine. They both did an awesome job. This salon is wonderful! Not only is it extremely clean but it is calming and pleasant to walk into. Tammy does a gel manicure on me every 2 weeks and a gel pedicure every 4 weeks and I look forward to my time in the salon. Tammy does a fantastic job and is creative with her nail art when I give her creative control for special occasions (normally I have to be conservative due to work). I have only been a client of the salon for a couple of months but I am always greeted by name when I walk in. Vanna, the owner, makes the experience that much better. I laugh so much when I am there and I have to thank Tammy and Vanna for that. Great salon with an incredible staff. I came in and asked for a color change on a full set of acrylics and the nail tech, who appeared to be very inexperienced by the way, completely took off my entire set of nails (which cost me $120!!!!!!). I wanted to give this place a high rating because the ambience is nice and the gentleman at the front was very courteous but I was paired with a nail technician who wasn't very experienced and couldn't understand me (didn't speak English). During the manicure: She left nail polish on my skin and I had to tell her twice to remove because she wasn't being attentive to check. In additional, her brushwork was shoddy and the polish color was rough near where my cuticles are. She shaped my nails more square when I asked her to make them round (see photos). Also she didn't put any lotion on my cuticles. During the pedicure: She didn't properly remove dead skin- basically using the pumice stone on areas of the foot with perfectly smooth skin and avoiding areas that needed dead skin to be removed! I had to point on my foot specific places and then she didn't bother doing the other foot for the places I pointed out. During the massage, I woke up when she walked away to get the hot stones and I saw brown stuff on my feet! It was clearly mud or dirt from the bottom of some bottle she set on the floor. She apologized but because she was spending time removing the dirt from my feet, the hot stones weren't as hot when she finally used them. In addition, I ordered the deluxe massage and it seemed very basic and much shorter than 45 minutes. I had a very hard time enjoying myself and relaxing because as soon as I noticed her first mistake, I was worried for the mistakes and lack of service that would follow. Basically this person was not attentive and didn't respond and understand my requests for basic services such as not getting nail polish all over my skin, removing dead skin and overall painting skills. I would only consider going back to this place if I get a better technician. Unfortunately I didn't catch the person's name who did my nails because she didn't even make conversation or speak to me. read more

Payment options have absolutely nothing to due with Covid, number 1, and number 2, if you were concerned about Covid you wouldn't want people to be handling currency. I enjoyed it here. Loved the ambience. The decor was nice. Music and staff were great. I loved the parafin wax during the euro spa pedi. Amazing. They didn't just put your heel in. They submerge the whole foot. Very nice. The only thing I did not like was my person had on latex gloves. Some employees were. Some were not. I did not like the feel of a mani pedi with gloves on. I personally don't want to make an employee not where gloves if they really want to. But when you check in, the front desk should ask the customer what they prefer. I get that acrylics earn more money for nail businesses but if I say I want a set off and just want a manicure then it's what I want. Persuasion is a good business technique, but again don't let it turn into peer pressure or make it seem like it's wrong to not get another set. Besides that I feel that the environment in this nail spa is okay but you guys definitely need more colors and better gel because mine is already peeling after 4 days. Not your typical strip mall nail salon! The Polished Nails is AMAZING! Upon entering you will notice how clean the spa is and the atmosphere is so relaxing. The upkeep of the furnishings is immaculate and the decor is serene. Classical music fills the air instead of TV's playing crummy over-the-air daytime dramas. I never once had the feeling that the technicians were gossiping like you do at some other establishments. The entire staff seemed very friendly. I had a pedicure done and it was, by far, the best pedicure experience I've ever had. The gal was so gentle and did such a wonderful job. I typically get a pedicure every other month and am very familiar with the "chop shops" and the quality of service they provide. The Polished Nails is anything but a "chop shop." Well I Yelped Polished Nails and I am so glad I did, needless to say, a review is MANDATORY after the experience I had. I just moved down the road and I thought, well after moving all week my hands definitely deserve a refresh. So I arrived at the salon around 6ish and it looked closed. Vanna, a lovely young lady and also the owner, chased me down the sidewalk and asked what service I needed. I thought they were closing early (holiday weekend) so I told her I was in desperate need for a pink and white fill but I understand if she couldn't accommodate because it does take time to do. She immediately ushered me in and said "you're already here! Give me a few moments." I couldn't thank her enough and she made me feel so comfortable and we chatted the entire time. I made a comment that I would definitely need to return for a pedicure next week and during my service, she just said "I'll give you a pedicure too after your nails," mind you this is well after closing time. You never find service so warm and gracious anymore. Truly refreshing. The best part was Vanna took her time, she asked me questions about my personal nail preferences throughout and made sure it was exactly what I wanted, instead of rushing me out the door.
