Both the Pastrami Stack & the Pan-Roasted Salmon were absolutely delicious, top notch. And being in a seriously upscale tavern setting is no joke. All the equestrian decor surrounding you almost made me want to buy a horse... almost. Then I remembered I can barely afford the valet. Polo Pony restaurant at the Equestrian Manor is the real deal. Oh, and that center bar in the middle? Badass. Full stop.

We wanted to check out this new place. It opened just short of 2 months ago. Absolutely 100% fun place to eat. The service was excellent, ask for Curtis, he is really good and he knows exactly what he's talking about as far as portion sizes and recommendation's. We ordered the lobster rolls for appetizer and the chicken and waffles for dinner. It was excellent. Next time I want to try the ham and cheese sandwich because he highly recommends it. I loved the ambiance and eating outside and watching the sun go down. It was a nice cool evening and thy kindly brought over a heat lamp.

Had a great birthday celebrating with my husband. Excellent service, ambience wonderful, and food unique..

The service and atmosphere were amazing! Food off the charts! Maggie is so good at her job! Thank you for all you did for us

Ambiance and art work are just a delight. From the moment you walk in the door service was impeccable. Whipped feta was light and had lots of depth. Salmon was cooked to perfection and the salad was so light and refreshing.

Good food and service! A little pricey, but that is to be expected with the venue offered.

MAN VS. FOOD - 22 OUNCE RIBEYE - MAN WON!…read more When I think of celebrating my birthday meal, the first thing that comes to mind is a nicely marbled Ribeye...juicy, tender, buttery, and oh, so delicious! So when Kimberley K. recommended Stirrups and I reviewed the menu I was all in! The restaurant itself is located on the ground floor of the World Equestrian Hotel in Ocala, Florida. Now for those Yelpers reading this review from around the globe, Ocala is approximately a one hour thirty minute drive north from my home base of Orlando. No worries though, for a great meal, time and distance is no object. Upon entering the hotel and the restaurant, service was outstanding. From the doorman, to the front desk, to Margaret from Security (BIG THANKS FOR TAKING OUR PRE-MEAL PHOTOS), to our servers, I have only the highest of regards. And this brings us to our meal... River and Milagros did double duty as our servers and were a delight throughout the evening. The Bread Service to begin the meal was stellar. Three different bread options, including a Sweet Potato Roll (LUSCIOUS!)...and the Whipped Honey Butter (OH, YEAH!) For my entree, I chose the 22 oz. Bone-In Ribeye and Kimberley opted for the 8 oz. Filet Mignon. Both dishes included Roasted Vegetables but, we also selected the Florida Mushrooms and Charred Broccolini to accompany our meal. Paired with a glass of Prosecco for Kimberley and a glass of Pinot Noir for yours truly and we were set! Everything and I mean everything was tasty. The meat dishes were perfectly grilled to our requested temperatures and the seasoning was on point. The sides were flavorsome and plentiful. AND DID I MENTION THERE WAS NO TAKE HOME BOX FOR MY 22 OUNCE RIBEYE! Yes, it was "one and done"! But the festivities didn't stop there, I was provided a gratis Birthday dessert by the restaurant. A perfect ending to a memorable meal. And speaking of my memory, a tremendous THANK YOU to Kaysie at the host stand...she called me on my cellphone as Kimberley and I were leaving the hotel saying I left my birthday card at our table...Hey, I can blame forgetting my card on getting one year older or the fact I just ate a 22 oz. Ribeye at one sitting...come to think of it, I'm sure it was because of the RIBEYE!

We started with the seafood trio appetizer, which had a nice mix of fried calamari, shark bite shrimp, and a cold crab dip that was served with five pieces of warm bread. The shark bite shrimp had a little bit of spice to it, but not overly spicy. The crab dip had a great flavor of Old Bay, but not overwhelming. Then we moved onto the seafood tower which was a variety of cold seafood. The oysters were my favorite. The clams were my least favorite. The oysters were shucked perfectly and were super fresh. While the shrimp was delicious... I do wish they were deveined and shelled. Thee server was nice and pretty quick. We sat outside on their patio area that is basically in front of the parking lot area but it was still nice to be outside. Overall the food was good and I would go back and try a few new things. But I would absolutely get the oysters again.

Everything I've had at Elevation has been great and the prices fair, well as fair for what you get. Food tastes fresh. I'd rather go to a locally owned restaurant like Elevation that cooks your food there, than a chain restaurant where food is prepared in a factory and then reheated. Recently saw they were now serving Breaded Pork Loin sandwiches and had those when visiting friends in Indiana and loved it, so had to try it. Elevation did it great! Though I neglected to ask for more yellow mustard and pickles. I've had two of their mixed drinks and they're too good. One is all I can handle, but they taste so good, you want more.

One of the highlights is the excellent view of the runway, where you can watch small airplanes take off and land while enjoying your meal. The service was friendly and attentive, and the food was good overall. We both ordered rice bowls with stir-fried vegetables and our choice of protein--one with chicken and the other with shrimp. The flavors were enjoyable; however, both bowls seemed noticeably watery. We're not sure if the extra liquid came from the vegetables or the rice preparation, but it was enough to be noticeable and took away from the overall enjoyment of the dish. Menu prices appear to range from around $10 into the $40s, offering options for a variety of budgets. One disappointment was that Elevation 89 is listed online, including on web searches and Yelp, as offering a Sunday Brunch. We specifically chose this location because we meet once a month to try a new brunch spot. Unfortunately, upon arrival we learned there is no Sunday Brunch currently being offered. We were disappointed by the inaccurate information and hope the online listings are updated so future guests can plan accordingly. Despite that issue, we enjoyed the clean environment, good service, and especially the unique runway views and watching the small aircraft come and go.
