Getting a reservation at Stirrups is honestly an accomplishment, so when Ronnald M. invited me to join him there on his birthday, I said yes without hesitation. He extended such a generous invitation, and since we've been getting along beautifully, it felt like the perfect opportunity to share a truly special evening together. Stirrups, tucked inside the World Equestrian Hotel in Ocala, already feels like an experience the moment you walk in. The staff were polished, kind, and welcoming from the door to the table, and the setting itself feels refined in the best way. Once we sat down, everything unfolded effortlessly. The bread service alone deserved its own applause. Three different breads, each more delicious than the last, and the whipped honey butter was almost dessert-worthy. I ordered the largest cut of the filet mignon and it was absolutely more than I could eat. Tender, flavorful, beautifully prepared. Ronnald went bold with the twenty two ounce bone-in ribeye, and he finished it without a single bite coming home. If that doesn't say everything, I don't know what does. We shared roasted vegetables, Florida mushrooms, charred broccolini, and sipped our drinks. Prosecco for me, Pinot Noir for him. The kind of meal that feels like it's unfolding in chapters. But what made the night truly unforgettable was the company. Great food is wonderful, but great company transforms an evening. We laughed, talked, and enjoyed every moment, and it meant the world to me that he included me on his special day. The restaurant even surprised him with a birthday dessert, and as we were leaving, the host stand called to let him know he'd left his birthday card on the table. We decided the ribeye must have been the culprit. It was one of those rare nights that felt elevated, intimate, and memorable from start to finish. I am genuinely grateful to Ronnald for inviting me. It was a beautiful celebration, and I wouldn't have wanted to spend the evening anywhere else.

Great restaurant. Beautiful interior. Spacious. Pretty good menu! We sat with Cassidy. Service was stellar. Chef sent out an amuse bouche of whipped goat cheese with a slice of peach. Very nice. Could've used a tiny pistachio on top or something to give it a crunch. Bread service was amazing. That whipped honey butter is heavenly. I enjoyed the buttermilk biscuit and the hubs had a piece of all three breads. I was surprised they brought us 6 pieces! We ended up taking the bread home. We started with the deviled eggs. I love a great deviled egg. This one was fairly traditional and separately needed salt. Cassidy was around quick to bring me salt and pepper shakers. I would not recommend the eggs- they're nothing special. For dinner, I wanted the pasta AND a steak. So I got the cacio e Pepe on their homemade pappardelle and added my husbands choice of protein- 3 to 4 scallops. We ordered the NY Stripling med rare which pretty much comes a la carte so we asked for the broccolini as a side. Steak was cooked perfectly. Small grilled onion and zucchini were great but the real kicker was that roasted garlic bulb. Yum!!! The pasta was a hit. I loved it. My husband did not leave any left over!!!! And they gave us 4 large scallops and only charged us for 3. Woohoo! Great deal. I typically do not care for scallops but I did cut one in half just to test the flavor, freshness, preparation etc and I ended up eating the other half as well. Perfectly salted. A nice thin crust/sear and no hint of fishiness at all. Amazing. We almost skipped dessert but I had seen a pic of the bread pudding so I had to have it. Bread pudding is one of my go to desserts. It was great but I was sad that there were a couple chocolate chips hidden inside the dish. I didn't like that. It was vanilla ice cream and caramel on top; the chocolate did not add anything, but rather, detracted. I could also go for whip cream instead of ice cream, but I know that's just my preference. The ice cream was gone before the bread pudding! We had one round of cocktails at the table. I had the steedbury, which was great. My husband had some tequila neat. I did notice a nice wine cellar but we had already been drinking at their lobby bar and did not want to switch to wine. I was impressed that the table flowers were real. Bathrooms are hotel bathrooms, outside the restaurant and down the hall. Spacious, clean. Overall, good food, great service. Some items could use a little tweak but I think most people would be overwhelmed by the quality and variety of the dishes. We dined on a Wednesday night and did not need a reservation but you may want to place one if you are dining on Friday or Saturday night. I would recommend this place for date night, celebrations, etc. It's really nice.

Exactly what to expect from a fine dining establishment. Service was most excellent! Manny was engaging, answered all our questions regarding the menu, checked with the chef to meet my food allergies and was very conscious about making sure those needs were meet. Shared some of the history about WEC and what's incoming new. Food was wonderful from taste to portions, including presentation. Just a lil noisy.

    Pasta carbonara- don't order this.

Good but not great meal last night. Great service, attentive and pleasant staff. Kitchen was way behind, and meats were not cooked to temperature. My Rare/Mid rare filet was mid-well, one of my guests said his lamb was cooked perfectly, but was stone cold. Kitchen took so long for entrees that I didn't mention anything as I wouldn't have eaten 20 minutes+ later. Sides were said to be good to share for 4 people, but they were barely enough for 2. I know it's the only upscale place in town, but it was a birthday for a friend, and definitely didn't feel special.

Awesome dinner at STIRRUPS, located inside the Equestrian Hotel, World Equestrian Center - Ocala. World-class, 5-Star service, ambiance, and delicious food. We had their amazing Tomahawk Steak and several sauces & sides. I highly commend our servers: Gabby & Jackie. They both took very good care of us. Also, greatly appreciate the host/manager, Juan. He made sure we had an excellent dining experience. This amazing steakhouse is our favorite place to dine in Ocala!!!

Thank you so much to the entire WEC team for ALWAYS making the most presentable meals that are so incredible! Chef Yohann made our wedding cake last April when we were married at WEC in the chapel. We love the food at Stirrups and Emma's. The dishes are outstanding and the ingredients are so fresh! For Valentine's Day, the tiramisu that we had on our Wedding Day was recreated. We can't say thank you enough! All of the menu is very aesthetic and a true reflection in the chefs here passionately designing each course.

Well worth eating here. Although it he prices are in some ways a bit high, the portion sizes and quality is unmatched. Service is above par and very very attentive. Food was great with an emphasis on high quality. Ambiance is to be expected at a fine dining restaurant. Very nice restaurant and excellent food. Well worth it here visit

Inside of The World Equestrian Center is Stirrups; an elite steakhouse capturing every attention to detail(even down to the silverware). Definitely has a boutique, country club feel when you enter. Fellas in their Polo shirts, and ladies in sun dresses, cardigans, and designer bags. I'm telling you this so you don't show up in cutoffs and sweatshirts with your sunglasses on your head although they would still probably welcome you because of that good ole Southern hospitality! Anyways, both the food and drinks are lovely. My order wasn't so exciting because I was in the mood for breakfast but it sure was yummy. I'm a sucker for skin on home fries, and who could turn down a chance for cheesy grits? The blueberries for their jam is actually grown on the property and perfect on their homemade biscuits. A tip when ordering breakfast; anything that says it comes with toast is actually more than toast. You have an option of toast but also bagel, biscuit, and I think croissant. I'm kicking myself for not remembering our waitstaff's name but he had only been there for about 6 months and was amazing!! I love anything with that "turn back" service feel. You know, classy atmosphere , silverware placed in the right position, attentiveness, etc. perfect for brunch or nice dinner.

Excellent service. I tried the desert this time. I will try the main entrees hopefully next time. It's definitely a hidden place in the middle of nowhere.

The look inside the restaurant is stunning. Love the decor and all of the white. Beautiful furniture. Very classy and one of a kind. A great view of the outside as well. The serving staff was very professional and attentive. We visited for breakfast and I had the avocado toast and orange juice. Would love to revisit when in town again for dinner.

While staying in the area we scoped out two restaurants - one in town and this gem in the World Equestrian Center. Located in the lobby of the hotel this is a fine dining establishment with a warm and friendly staff. The space is beautiful and offers some outdoor dining weather permitting. The menu is similar to a traditional steakhouse but offers a wider range of dishes. The wine list is expansive, albeit a bit pricey, but if you are staying in the hotel price is not your priority. I loved how the list was compiled and offered both 6oz and 9oz pours BTG. We brought a wine, corkage $40, and got yo meet one of the somms, Selvyn, who did a great job and spent time chatting with us. We were seated by Miranda, whose twin Melanie took our reservation a few days prior. They kicked off a wonderful dinner. Oysters were super fresh and the house sauce was delicious. Crab beignets were light, flavor snd had just the right amount of heat. Paired perfectly with our BTG white wine For entrees we went with the Summer Corn ravioli topped with applewood smoked eggplant - my wife loved it!! I ran with the Beef Tenderloin and we gluttonessly chose the lobster mac & cheese for a side. Excellent! Our server Haley was friendly, efficient and attentive all evening. Absolutely excellent, we will be back anytime we are in Ocala!

We hurried on out and made it a few minutes before they closed. Twistee Treat is located in a standalone building at the front of a shopping complex. There is plenty of parking, and we had no issue finding a spot upon arrival. You will have no problem locating it, because it is literally a giant ice cream cone! This is a walk up stand, so no indoor seating, but there are plenty of tables and benches on the patio for you to use. Loved the atmosphere at this place. It is fun and inviting with all of the colors, and of course with the ice cream cone building. It seems like a lot of young people come here to hang out, and bring some energy to the space. The lights were fun to see as well, since it was dark. We came here on a Monday in July, and arrived about 10 minutes before they closed. There was still a line, but I believe we were one of the last to order for the night. The line went fast, and we were waited on in just a matter of minutes. My fiancé had previously visited this spot, but it was my first time. I took some time to look over the menu, and man they have a great selection here! It is soft serve, but they make several different concoctions and novelty items that keep it interesting. Most menu items have "signature" options, but everything seems to be customizable if you want to make your own treat. Even with the novelty items, it seems like everything is made to order. So, it is easy to customize and order something exactly that you are wanting. We ended up ordering three treats, even though I truthfully wanted to try everything on the menu! I ordered a small Twirl with Oreos and Praline Pecans. I had never seen Praline Pecans as a mix-in at an ice cream shop before, so that was something new and fun to try! My fiancé ordered a medium Twirl with Oreos, Reese Cups, and Brownies. He really enjoyed this! I also really wanted to try a Waffle Taco, so we got one with Reese Cups. It was absolutely LOADED with Reese's! We took this home to try another day, and it was still awesome after being in the freezer for a couple days. Definitely large enough to share. On all the menu items, the toppings were extremely generous! The staff were all very friendly, and also helpful in answering my questions regarding the menu. I noticed when we received the one Twisters that was supposed to have brownies, they were missing. I asked one of the girls at the window if we could just get a cup of them on the side, and she was apologetic for the situation and more than willing to give a cup of the brownies. I appreciated the customer service and willingness to rectify the situation, even when they were starting to work to close for the night. I thought the prices were very reasonable. You definitely get your money's worth with anything that you order. As said, portions and topping amounts are plentiful and generous. I believe our bill for the three items was around $16 or $17 dollars. Overall, I was extremely impressed with my first trip to Twistee Treat. It has a great ambiance, menu, and the service was top-notch. Would be a great spot to stop on a date night or with the family. The hours are also great - it seems like there is not a ton open late night anymore, but at times this place is open until 11:30 PM. I look forward to my next trip to Ocala to stop here again and try more of the awesome menu!

From day one, the owner has made us feel welcomed, remembered, and truly part of his world, and that level of hospitality is something you can't manufacture. It's real, and it's why this place stands out. The gelato is on another level entirely. I've traveled, tasted, and tried gelato in major cities and abroad, and nothing (absolutely nothing) compares to what's being crafted right here in our growing Ocala. The flavors rotate constantly, keeping every visit exciting and perfectly matched to whatever mood you're in. Each batch is rich, smooth, balanced, and made with a passion you can taste. We've never left with a single regret, only smiles and that satisfied "this hit the spot" feeling. And honestly, the gelato here deserves worldwide recognition. It's that exceptional. But what truly elevates La Dolce Vita is the owner himself - someone who cares deeply not just about his shop, but about the people who walk through his doors. His pride, kindness, and consistency have created a place that feels like home for so many of us. Ocala is lucky to have this treasure. Parking is a little tricky, but definitely doable. There's quite a bit of metered parking, and we were able to find a free meter on a Saturday by parking on a nearby side street. The moment we walked in, we were amazed, and clearly hungry, because everything looked so delicious! My daughter made a beeline straight for the $5 candy buffet, which she absolutely loved. It's such a fun and unique option for kids. The vintage bottle drink freezer was another highlight, so colorful and stocked with all kinds of interesting and nostalgic flavors. They also had some funny gag gifts and a great selection of bulk candy at reasonable prices. One of our favorite touches was the little train running around the ceiling, it's such a cute detail that really adds to the experience. They even have a penny press, so be sure to bring two quarters and a shiny penny! We will definitely be back and highly recommend this spot if you're looking for fun gifts or a sweet treat, especially for kids.

And here we have another gem to add to Ocala's increasingly cool selection of places to eat…read more Located in the heart of downtown Ocala, Soleil Bakery is a gluten-free bakery offering locals and visitors alike a delicious selection of pastries both savory and sweet without the traditional gluten filled ingredients. The perfect place for a book club meet-up, or catch up with friends at any time of day, the cafe is sweetly decorated and uber cozy. I was so glad to see they were open as the few times I had visited before they were closed. With that said, I recommend to call beforehand as my understanding is that the bakery has odd hours sometimes. The staff was friendly and helped me choose a selection of goods to take home with me. I ended up with their very last snickerdoodle cookie, two spinach quiches, and their peanut butter chocolate cheesecake with an Oreo crust. Yum, yum, and yum! All of it. The quiche was particularly good and heated up well the next day keeping the center moist and fluffy while still being loaded with spinach. Sorry to say my review won't come with photos of the treats I picked up as I ran out quickly to get home in the rain. But...I guess you'll just have to go see yourself! Soleil Bakery & Social House is a must try!

We finally explored the square due to one of the art walk events. Since it we visited twice here on Friday evenings, we decided to have espresso. During the events in the square, the businesses usually stay open later than usual. This also means they are busy. I have yet to visit during normal business hours so I am not sure how the traffic is usually. Our first visit was just to check it out and get whatever on a spontaneous decision. I did not know they serve beer and wine so I opted for wine our first time. I picked out some French white wine, which wound up being over $20 for a tiny bottle! The staff member warned me she was unsure of the price and we were both shocked when she scanned it lol. I then switched it for a sparkling wine, which was half the price. The espresso hubs and I split was as good as it gets. We love our espressos and coffee bold and strong so we were happy. The staff member also gave me a teacher's discount, which I appreciate so much because therapists don't usually get discounts! The next time we visited, we ordered another espresso, as well as a cinnamon bun and an Andes cake. OMFG how orgasmic!! I love mint chocolate anything so I was sooooo excited! We saved it for later and it was just amazing! Hubs loves cinnamon buns and he approved as well. Both times we sat for a while, sipped our coffee, and talked. I am definitely interested in checking Soleil out when it is less busy to soak it in. The place was clean and the staff were personable and friendly. They serve a lot of vegan products and honestly, they are so good, you probably could not tell the difference which is vegan or not. They have comfy seating and it does feel very cozy in there.
