A bit of sand, a splashy river, a couple baby trees providing a liiiittle bit of shade, a hot dog stand a short trot away, plenty of room for picnics... It's a tiny piece of the great outdoors -- and you can see Starbucks across the street. This space was pretty crowded on a Saturday. Lots of kiddos and dogs swimming in the river (which feels sooooo good). More families line the tiny shore than couples or river sports-doers. We brought a nice little picnic, towels, bad magazines so we could celebrity-stalk, and a portable speaker for some beachy weekend tunes. I get real lazy on any beach; kayaking and rafting aren't really for me, but you can totally get athletic if you want. The beach is very clean and small, the sand a bit rocky, and the water cold and shallow. I can see myself spending many a summer day here.. sunbathing (wear sunscreen!), picnicking, and people watching. The best!!

The pool is in a convenient location next to Congress Park (which also has a new playground). There is on off street parking lot, but it does fill up when the pool is busy. My younger kid took swim lessons here and was on the swim team as well. The renovated pool has been expanded to include a larger kids pool and primary pool as well as grassy area for relaxing and additional shade. There are new changing areas and everything feels fresh and clean. My favorite part of the remodel is that they kept the same overall feel and didn't gut it just to add splash features and slides etc..

Amazing public pool…read more We went most recently for the hot springs day and it was an incredible time. They had a ramen food truck (which was fine) and free coffee and hot cocoa. We have also been here as a family during the summer and the pool is lovely. You would want to come early and get a nice shady spot because they will be taken up fast. My kiddo had to do a swimming test to use the diving board in the summer and she failed both times so she had to stay in the larger shallower end of the pool. I appreciated their dedication to safety.

That was crazy to me, but we had already made this plan and had driven 45 minutes for this, plus it's in the vacation budget. If I lived here I would not come back because of that price. Also if you don't have a towel, they cost $20. This place is beautiful and I loved my time here, it will be a great memory, but that price is crazy. If I come back to Denver I may look for another place that may be like this.

Literally…read morethe worst experience I've had at ANY rec center (and I've been to pretty much all of them within an hour radius). I brought my daughter to swim and we stayed about 30 min. The only area where she could *actually* swim had a giant fan blowing down from the ceiling...we were both shivering within 10 minutes. The pool area looks massive, but the actual space for a kid to swim is tiny. SO much wasted space. The playground are is great for toddlers, but beyond that it's a huge disappointment. Why is there a huge fan blowing down onto the pool on a cold, rainy day?? The pool water temps were miserably cold which means the hot tubs were overrun with people who were camped out in them. We couldn't even dip a toe in the hot tub because they were 'full'. There were also crowds of completely unsupervised kids everywhere we turned. The whole 'adult supervision for kids under 10' is an absolute JOKE. After being pushed, kicked, shoved, jumped on for 30 minutes, we cut our losses and left. Will absolutely not be back.

While I was there I saw a lifeguard rescue a small kid (maybe 7) from the shallow end of the pool and no less than 30 minutes later the same kid was jumping off the diving board and going down the deep end slide. He was barely keeping his head above water but struggled to get to the side of the pool. The lifeguards should be more attentive to that child and probably shouldn't have let him go into the deep end. But - it's not my pool to run. Just a personal opinion.

They have a lap pool and they also have a warmer pool that includes a lazy river and a couple of lap lanes, along with the children's play area. We were there on a weekday afternoon well swim lessons were going on, but had plenty of space to use one lap lane and the lazy river. They have a set of steps to enter by the lazy river and they have a chairlift that enters into one of the lanes. There's also a hot tub that has steps with a rail to get in. In the family locker room there are two accessible changing rooms with a bathroom and shower, including a shower bench and adjustable showerhead. They have an automatic door opener, which is phenomenal, however, the lock is up pretty high, which makes it less accessible for wheelchair users, and short people. there are two other changing rooms in the family locker space that don't have the automatic button, adjustable showerhead, or shower bench, or grab bars on the toilet, but are still fairly large and have space for a wheelchair user There was plenty of accessible parking and automatic doors to get into the building. The space exiting was pretty tight due to how they have the chairs arranged, somebody with a larger wheelchair may have to exit through the entry lane. We also used the steam room, there was no automatic door, but the door wasn't terribly heavy. We've been to lots of rec centers in the Denver Metro area, and this is definitely one of the most accessible
