The pool is in a convenient location next to Congress Park (which also has a new playground). There is on off street parking lot, but it does fill up when the pool is busy. My younger kid took swim lessons here and was on the swim team as well. The renovated pool has been expanded to include a larger kids pool and primary pool as well as grassy area for relaxing and additional shade. There are new changing areas and everything feels fresh and clean. My favorite part of the remodel is that they kept the same overall feel and didn't gut it just to add splash features and slides etc..

We have also been here as a family during the summer and the pool is lovely. You would want to come early and get a nice shady spot because they will be taken up fast. My kiddo had to do a swimming test to use the diving board in the summer and she failed both times so she had to stay in the larger shallower end of the pool. That was crazy to me, but we had already made this plan and had driven 45 minutes for this, plus it's in the vacation budget. If I lived here I would not come back because of that price. Also if you don't have a towel, they cost $20. This place is beautiful and I loved my time here, it will be a great memory, but that price is crazy. If I come back to Denver I may look for another place that may be like this.

The…read morepool itself is relatively nice and the chairs are comfy, but the locker room definitely needs some attention. It was dirty and there was wet toilet paper everywhere. While I was there I saw a lifeguard rescue a small kid (maybe 7) from the shallow end of the pool and no less than 30 minutes later the same kid was jumping off the diving board and going down the deep end slide. He was barely keeping his head above water but struggled to get to the side of the pool. The lifeguards should be more attentive to that child and probably shouldn't have let him go into the deep end. But - it's not my pool to run. Just a personal opinion.

Bay Aquatic Park has a few different areas to swim and they have several slides. They also have a…read moresnack bar area and plenty of grassy areas or chairs to relax around the pool. They offer free lockers that you can use with your own lock to store your items. We recently went to Bay Aquatic Park specifically for their night glow swimming that's offered a few times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays 6pm-9:30pm. Our group and others around us asked the lifeguards when the lights would turn on since it was after 8:30 and the lights were still not on and the park closed at 9:30. We were told they weren't sure, but likely soon. Around 9pm we heard over the intercom that they were closing the pool due to low visibility so that was the end of our night. It was disappointing since we drove up from Northern Colorado to experience their night glow swimming that we've seen on social media and we didn't get to experience it. Other than that, it was a good experience and we would swim here again.
