I love this store so much. It's not just a bookstore; it's a gift shop and a community space. The…read moreowner has created a warm and peaceful atmosphere- not quite like a library though lol. It's unbelievable how much she fits in the space. She hosts book events, usually with a food truck or two and other vendors. I could go on and on about the gift type things they carry. I've also bought gift certificates. Most recently I messaged her and she had it ready for me when I stopped by on my way to the office. They also carry cards so it was perfect! A great example of small business customer service. I highly recommend Bookish and recommend following them on IG for events, specials, etc.

There is literally some thing for everyone here. Used, new, vintage, a variety of genres, even gifts and store swag. There is plenty of space to sit and get comfy with your new book. Vanessa also has waters, sodas and keurig coffee for sale. I have been bringing my daughter here for a year now and there's always something new that we find. The prices are great and they even have a nice bookmark stamp card to get $5 off a future purchase! Cute and convenient for your reading!! Kudos to Vanessa for keeping this place looking fantastic and fresh. Everyone should stop by to check it out. Keep in touch with her hours by following her on Instagram!! @bookish520

My wife had a sandwich please forgive me I forgot the name but I'll look at their menu and post it in the picture. This is a perfect place to have a small family/ friends gathering for any occasion. I do believe they are still working on there bar and drinks. Anyways we loved it and most definitely will be going back.

I came to the new Sierra Nut House location at the corner of Bullard and Marks on Sunday when they…read morefirst opened. This is the old Tony Roma's. It's been a few other things since then but none has done well since. Anyway, I wondered how they would fill this huge space. There is wall to wall Sierra Nut House products as well as some other gift type items. There is plenty to make a gift basket and it looks like they are still adding to the space. There is a section where the old bar is that they have tables to enjoy food. It is a very small menu with several daily specials. You pay at a cafe register which is separate from the register to purchase nuts, etc. which is by the door. You then can choose a table and they will bring your food out to you. My friends each ordered the breakfast "panino" which was just a tomato wrap, I don't think it was grilled. I chose the mortadella and provolone on focaccia which was clearly the better choice. It was full of meat and nicely plated with a side of couscous salad. It also had a delicious pesto in it. I wish I would have thought to take a photo. Service is about like the previous location which is why I don't frequent Sierra Nut House. I never feel welcomed or comfortable, maybe I'm not their desired demographic, I don't know. But I doubt I'll be back.

This place is a quiet browsing spot, you don't really have workers asking you often if you need help, which is great for my fellow introverted people. Parking is pretty crazy though, there's a tiny parking lot on the one way street before getting to the building but since there are other local businesses right next to the store the parking gets pretty full most of the time. Grab a coffee across the street and browse, you can easily blow through 2 hours just looking at everything they have to offer. Since a lot of the goods are imported I would personally say the average cost of something would be around $22, so if you are planning on splurging make sure to save a little bit (or else you'll get torn between choosing what to buy, like I have done before ) The environment is also very communal, having a trinket trading box outside of their storefront (not owned by Sour Milk but heavily appreciated) AND a Sonny Angel/ Smiski trading station, and also vending art created by local Fresno artists! On top of their every-day communal outlets they also are huge contributors for Tower Districts Art Hop and they host local vegan food trucks from time to time.

It's pretty small and it gets a little cluttered with everyone in there. Hair clips were priced at $25! Just one hair clip lol. Service was fast and she was super nice, she gave my kids a couple airheads. If you're into these kind of things you should definitely check it out.
