I love this place but l was there last night and I left because the server she had on a black and white strip skirt she served people who came 15 after me and not me she didn't even ask if I wanted a cup of water normally when I come I'm asked that and I give my card to start my tab as well. I wasn't given that attentive service. She walked pass me me 6 times going towards the kitchen and back to the bar. I sure if I was a server and I did that she would've did a review on me as well because yes it was customers in there but I wasn't communicated on the same manner as the guest who arrived after me. The Post is a casual restaurant great for hanging out with friends, especially if you are on a budget! I've been for the Tuesday night trivia. It's free to play, there is 1 winning team/round, and prizes include a round of drinks for the table. Teams are 4 people or less, so if you come as a large group, be prepared to split up your team! There are also a lot of games, both free and paid: shuffle board, table shuffle board, pool, air hockey, test your strength punching bag, arcade games, etc. I tried the $10 lunch special which runs from Monday-Friday from 12PM - 3PM of a burger, chips and a beer. I substituted the beer for a soda. It was a pretty standard burger and fries but it was made quickly and the price is hard to beat. We came at 12 exactly and found they opened ~10 minutes late, so if you are thinking of trying the lunch special, I would come a little bit past 12 and not on time. This was our first visit to The Post. We stopped by around 8 or 9pm Saturday night and the place was moderately full. We sat at the bar and ordered some food and a pitcher of Brotherly Love for $23. Both of the bartenders and food runners we interacted with were friendly and personable. Went in at about 1:30 on a Sunday. It wasn't particularly busy but the bar service was still slow. Can I get a Diet Coke? Nope. Broken. Sprite? Nope. Broken. Just got water and skipped beers too. Can I get half buffalo and half garlic Parmesan for my wings? Nope. You had to order two different wings. Really?! The wings turned out just ok. Not particularly saucy- more like they were under a heat lamp for a little while considering the sauce was dry. Decent flavor. Still moist. Ordered their Post burger also. I was looking to order some wings, while also trying someplace new, so I ordered from The Post. But due to my duties as a Yelper I couldn't just order wings. I had to try other items from the menu as will. I added cheese curds and popcorn shrimp to my order. I started with the wings since that's what I was craving. The buffalo wings were delicious. Nice sized, perfectly cooked juicy wings. My craving was satisfied! Then I moved on to the cheese curds. I noticed they were not the golden brown color I was used to. Then I bit in to one and realized why. The cheese was not fully melted inside. They were not completely done. I had to put them in my toaster oven. While waiting for the cheese curds I started eating the popcorn shrimp. All I could taste was the breading. I couldn't even taste the shrimp. What a disappointment. When the cheese was finally melted on the cheese curds I ate some of them. Not much flavor at all. You can get them done much better elsewhere. The Post does look like a fun place to have a meal with all the games. When it comes to food I would stick with the wings. Games and wings can make for a fun dinner. The post is a great place to take in a game or to have some drinks before a game after work or just on a whim. While not terribly cheap, the prices seem about right for the location which is the university city area of West Philly. It was my first time going to the post and I had a really good time. You must order all of your foods from a food counter which is delivered to your table and all of your drink orders from the bar. The service was swift and the servers and bartenders seem really friendly and ready to help when needed. The drinks they were good. Not great but good enough to do the job. There were plenty of beer options and a full bar. The food was just okay, it was decent bar food but not food. I probably would not return just for the food. But... I would return for the atmosphere! It's a great atmosphere there. They have all sorts of board games, sports games including a pool table, air hockey, a basketball game shuffleboard all sorts of stuff to keep you entertained. So I will be returning to the post because it was an absolutely great atmosphere. They do check for ID to make sure that everyone and enters is of drinking age and less. They look like they are a child, I took my son who was 11 and the course didn't ask him for our day but he was allowed in but the rest of my party did have to show ID to enter. The Post is a straight-forward sports bar. Nothing fancy here: industrial interior, plenty of TVs, basic drink selection. My companion and I stopped in for a drink at the end of our day in Philly and did get a chance to try the food. A couple of disappointments for my companion: no Cointreau or Triple Sec for a cosmo, and only chardonnay available as a white wine. No Cointreau wasn't a surprise, but the other items were--but not enough to discourage us from visiting again. Positives: staff was super friendly and attentive. In addition, The Post seems to be the only bar within a reasonable distance of 30th Street Station (about 2 blocks). If you have time to kill before catching a train this is great spot to hang out. Final positive: among the Philly sports decor us a prominently displayed LaSalle Explorers flag (my alma mater). We ordered a few sandwiches and fries and ended up waiting 25-30 minutes. I usually wouldn't have a problem with this but the quality of the food was the issue. I ordered the Nashville hot chicken sandwich which was to come with coleslaw, pickles, fries, etc. The chicken came out much smaller than the bun, with absolutely nothing on it. This is a really great, fun new spot that just opened yesterday, serving delicious food alongside lots of fun games. It is partly a bar, but it's super friendly for families with games like skeeball and lots of bar food done much better than it needs to be at a place like this, such as popcorn chicken, cheesesteak sliders, mac & cheese, nachos and much more. The post is a cute spot. Located in the ducky at 30th and Walnut and definitely a good place to watch anything Philly sports related. Stopped through on a Saturday during their everyday happy hour time (5pm-7pm) and grabbed some margaritas. Their options were meh I'd say they're definitely appealing to the beer crowd (no shade to beer but ain't my jam). Televisions everywhere. The folks are friendly. Visited on a random Wednesday at 5PM - needed a quick bite before a long drive - and there were still plenty of people eating/drinking. There's a pay parking garage right next door, which is convenient. The Post's space is quite large (as you can see in the photos)...air hockey, darts, I think pool tables in the back room (but I'm not sure). All food and non-alcoholic drinks are ordered at the food window, and you get a beeper to pickup your food when it's ready. My wings were typical bar wings, not bad, just not amazing (a little over sauced imho). There's a large bar in the center of the space. They also have Gatorade coolers full of ice water at various locations throughout the bar - which I thought was a cool feature especially if you're drinking on a busy night. Came with a group a couple weeks ago for an event. This place is really cool! It's half arcade, half bar, and they also serve finger foods. Before 8 pm, anyone can come in, but at 8 pm they start checking IDs to make sure only 21+ people can enter, so if you're planning to come with a family keep that in mind. I think the food is pretty average, but I'll have to come back and try a few more things! We ordered beef burger sliders and bbq pulled chicken sliders. We had such a great time here! It's a perfect adult place where you can bring your kiddos along because sometimes mama wants a cocktail and bringing the kids to a bar is more often than not, frowned upon. In all seriousness, the is a neat concept and definitely worth checking out. It proved to be a lovely way to spend a rainy evening. The fam enjoyed gigante bean hummus with pita and cucumbers and 4 cheese mac and cheese. The casual grab it yourself/order at the counter place is uber laid back but does have booths for dining, as well as board games for enjoying while you do so. Hubs and I shared a few memorable piña coladas with a cayenne rim from the bar. The spice balanced the sweetness so well! Yum! We watched the game and played arcade games which included basketball, skee-ball, shuffle board (both floor and tabletop), foos ball and 4 person air hockey, which I had never seen before! Perfect for a group! We also played retro games like PONG and Mrs PacMan. There's a change machine, so no need to worry about quarters. They have quizzos on Monday nights from 6-8pm with a fun MC! Parking in the attached lot is a flat rate of $8 after 5pm! This place goes perfectly with a visit to Cira Green and the new Sunset Social on the rooftop! Me and my brother DeAnthony tried this place out tonight and it didn't disappoint. The venue is very open and airy and clean as a whistle. There is a bar in the center with a few TVs and a kitchen in the corner where you order food from at the counter. Happy hour had some good deals at $5 a pop for bar foods. The other seating was pretty much cafeteria style. Complete with board games. Other games included shuffle board, hoops and ski ball. The food was decent and non happy hour prices were on par with center city pricing. This is an ideal spot for a group of co workers to wet their whistle after a long day in the office. read more

When you do get hungry The Post has cheesesteaks sliders. Young hip people probably already know this, it was new to me, you order 1, 3 or 5 sliders at a time. The menu said torpedo rolls, mine came on sesame seed rolls. Win for me. Was aware this venue opened a couple months back as I had been looking for a bridal shower venue. I decided on another venue but knew I definitely wanted to come check out the post. Planned a birthday party for my husband and about 20 of our friends. We worked with the events coordinator, Greg, who was awesome. He was so responsive and very accomodating. He was not there the day of the event but the manager working, sorry forgot her name was wonderful too. We came in around 7, place was not packed at that time, likely because it is fairly new and college students are probably gone for the summer. The set up is pretty cool, they had games on tables throughout the bar and shuffle board, and arcade games in the back. The space was clean and very open. There is a counter where you walk up to order your food. They had a selection of different types of bar bites, we particularly enjoyed the fries and nuggets. A couple hours later it started to get more crowded and they even brought in a live DJ. Really cool place to hang out. Will definitely be back. *I paid to park in the garage and then noticed there was quite a few free parking spots. Not sure if they validate parking but it was under $10 anyway read more

I will have to stop back here come playoff time (Go Sixers!). The food was... just OK. I had the BBQ chicken sliders and the breaded chicken sliders. The first breaded chicken slider I bit into was a hunk of fatty meat. I had to take it off the bun and eat it with my back teeth since it was impossible to bite down on. The flavor was minimal. The BBQ chicken slider was just OK as well. Not very hot and nothing surprising flavor-wise. The cheese balls (fried curds): I didn't even detect a hint of seasoning. I really wanted to like them too, because I love cheese. The highlight of the evening for food was my friend's waffle fries, and I don't know that you can go wrong there. Recently opened, my colleague and I just happened upon this during a day long event near the area. They got everything, beer, food, and games, oh my! Just a hipper version of Dave and Busters. We got there during off-peak on a Tuesday at 11am, as expected it was empty. I really liked this place! Me and my friends went on a thursday night. They had a late night happy hour menu after 10 where they had $1 tacos and some drink specials which I believe also happens on tuesday if i'm remembering correctly. The place itself was really nice and they made really good use of the space. There's a bunch of random old timey arcade games around the place like pac man as well as other classic games like shuffle board (which was free) and basketball throwing and some other games that were only a dollar each. Visited Philly for the weekend and decided to grab a quick bite close to our hotel. This place was pretty empty when we walked in but i liked the setup with the arcade games and it fit the more laid back atmosphere we were interested in. We were able to get drinks at the bar but the food was ordered and paid for at a separate counter. Our bartender was nice enough to bring our food over to us when it was ready. I got a margarita and it was a lot more tart than i anticipated. For food i got the sweet Chile wings (5) and the waffle fries. Both were pretty good esp the fries. I haven't eaten here, so this review only reflects the atmosphere. It's a cool place for happy hour in University city. I've been here for a work happy hour and just out with a friend. Both times were great. The first time, we happened to come on an evening that featured a live guitarist/ singer and he was so energetic and open to requests. He even let my friend sing a song with him. He really boosted the atmosphere! The other time, we were content to just relax, drink and play some of the games scattered throughout. I think I that's what makes this place a good hangout. You can eat and drink and chill and when you get a little bored, start up a game of whatever with each other or pull some people in!
