My team consisted of Alex, the owner, who honored their 5 % discount if booked 3 weeks before moving, and my movers, Eugene and Serge. Eugene contacted me the day before to confirm & ask some questions about my contents, and he kept me informed all along as to their arrival time. All went well but it took longer than expected with only 2 men. They were careful and followed my instructions re: delicate or previously damaged furniture. I asked if they would tell me when the heavy furniture was coming inside because I wanted to put padding on the legs to protect the wooden floors. This slowed them up but it helped me because I might have forgotten about doing that later. Also, I asked them to carry many boxes to the basement, and that I appreciated so much. I was very concerned about one piece, an antique rocker that had 2 breaks in one leg. Much to my surprise, Eugene placed a reinforced bandage on the leg and I am still using it until I take it to get repaired. While packing the month before, I had forgotten where I had hid some valuable jewelry. Well, low and behold, when my bedroom was already emptied, I saw my 2 stashes of gold and silver on the window sill. When I went to Eugene, I commented that I would never have known if they had kept it, and thanked him profusely. His response, "My parents taught me right, I guess." As far as Albo's rates and overall value go....You can't put a price on this kind of integrity and work ethic. The fact that I used them twice in 2 years speaks for itself. Packing for a move is one of the worst stresses in life. But having a moving company that is reliable and trustworthy will free up your mind to concentrate on other important things during your move.

With my first move in 2020, there was a bit of a scheduling issue, causing the movers to arrive later than originally scheduled and with a van rather than a truck (I had been told that it would be a truck in order to fit all of my belongings into one trip). Therefore, it ended up taking two trips. However, the owner made things right by only charging me the original rate for one trip. Mistakes happen and I'm fine with it, as long as the company owns up to it and makes it right. And there were no similar issues with my second move in 2026. The guys had furniture wrap and blankets to protect my belongings. During both moves, I did not find anything that was damaged at all. What more can you ask for!? I highly recommend Man With a Van! In fact, I'm likely going to use them again soon to help with some items that I will need to move into storage.

I was a bit worried because I had several mirrors, but once I saw the great care they took to secure everything, all my fears were assuaged. I don't remember all their names, but Brian and co. were phenomenal!! 2 weeks later Adam and Ari came back with a truck of all my stuff and unloaded it all in my new apartment as requested. They were both so friendly and accommodating. And best of all, all my items (especially my mirrors ) came back in good condition. I cannot recommend this service enough, especially if you need both storage and moving help! The only thing Is I wish I could schedule my pick up and drop off appointments at the same time. I had to wait till my stuff was picked up before I could schedule a drop off date, because their website only allows one appointment at a time. That was a bit inconvenient for me since I had to also reserve a move in time slot with my building as well. Many boxes showed visible yellow staining consistent with rodent contamination. The odor was so strong that I had to isolate several boxes in a separate room. Despite repeated washing, my clothing and bedding could not be salvaged. I ultimately had to discard nearly my entire wardrobe, sheets, towels, stuffed items, makeup, tattoo equipment, and nail tech supplies due to contamination concerns. Several household items and glassware were also cracked. In addition, my armoire was broken during storage. Clutter has agreed to compensate me for the armoire, but they have refused to compensate me for the widespread contamination of my clothing and personal goods. Their position is that items "packed by the owner" are excluded from coverage. However, multiple boxes -- including clothing and bedding -- were packed by their team. They are now requiring me to provide proof of which boxes were packed by them in order to consider reimbursement. This has been extremely frustrating given the visible contamination and the extent of the damage. I expected professional storage conditions and reasonable care of my property. That was not my experience.

In my case, we used most of our own boxes but relied on the movers for padding fragile pieces and plastic wrapping others. Keep in mind any material or product you need from the movers will be an extra cost. It's reasonable but just keep this in mind when you get an initial quote from them. Again, the more info have for them the more accurate their quote will be. All in all I'm happy with the service and would recommend this company to others.
