Just wow. Everything The Potted Geranium does is beautiful. The owner Vito is definitely an expert in his trade. He knows design, plant care, customer service--everything. If you need further proof of their excellent work, just drive by and check out the intricate seasonal displays in their front window. My lovely boyfriend decided to send "Happy Monday" flowers (pictured) along with a special inside joke. Vito went out of his way to make sure the card was written and delivered exactly as requested. 10/10 I would recommend this business to anyone who wants to send flowers to someone special, decorate for a special occasion, or generally broaden their floral experience. read more

I went to this florist over a week in advance to place an order for a corsage and boutonniere for our local high school prom. When I entered the shop, I was treated as if I was a nuisance, rather than a customer there to spend money. I was told they were too busy to take on any more orders. While I understand that prom and wedding season can be hectic, it was disappointing to see a local business unable--or unwilling--to support such an important community event like the high school prom. It would have been helpful to have clearer communication or other options offered to me. I hope in the future they'll consider better planning or staffing during peak times to accommodate loyal local customers. read more

Wow just wow. Vito had me speechless the morning of my wedding when he dropped the bouquets off to us. He listened and then added some and let me say I have never seen a better bouquet that hit every point I had asked for and wanted. I had two meetings with Vito in person. First time was to discuss my vibes and what I was going for. And second was to see my vision executed and let me say he did not disappoint. He works with any and I mean ANY budget. The first time I met him was with my mom since she has had some florist background and we sat there for over 3 hours! I was in heaven. And the second time was with my now husband and we were there for almost two hours. We walked out and my husband said you can clearly see this is his passion and he puts his all into it. Really disappointed this business can't get it together to answer phone calls or requests for weddings in 2023. I've called for the last 6 months and message the same," due to overwhelming demand for weddings and events we are unable to answer the phone at this time. Click". Of course I hope nothing happened to the owner/staff, since according to local venues, they are MIA. While they are lucky to be so busy, a dedicated time to respond to email requests or phone messages should be good standard practice. I don't ever write reviews but this just didnt sit well with me. I ordered a certain bouquet of flowers for my mother and what arrived wasn't what I expected. I understand that some flowers may not be in season or simply unavailable but I would have appreciated a phone call to be given the heads up and/or the chance to go with something different. One of the reasons I ordered a certain bouquet was because of the colors which were different shades of purple but what arrived were bright pink roses which are pretty but NOT WHAT I WANTED. Also the website showed the bouquet would have 6 different types of flowers and what actually came were 4 different types. So I dont understand how that's the same value. I'm just not happy because I didn't get what I was expecting especially for what I spent. Hope this helps. read more

Vito did a stunning job for my sister's wedding last week. I can not recommend him enough! He made the process so easy, listening to the bride's needs as well as what the mother of the bride wanted. He did bridal party flowers, the ceremony, and the reception... as well as flowers for the small original wedding in May. (Last week was the rescheduled, large wedding.). The flowers for every part of the wedding were incredible. I will definitely use him for all of my events moving forward and cannot wait until he can do my wedding one day! I went to this florist shop on my girlfriends birthday and asked them to deliver a flower arrangement for $50 and a balloon! Simple! They said they would do a nice arrangement of seasonal flowers in a vase. When I got home and saw the arrangement I was embarrassed and horrified. The majority of the flowers were not in bloom and it looked like the flowers were pulled from a field! Horrible! I said to my girlfriend let's see if they open up and get prettier in a few days. Nope! It just got worse! I would have been better off going to a supermarket and buying flowers! Shame I work hard for my money and I feel cheated! There won't be a next time but I will be more careful and less trusting in the future! read more

I needed to express my gratitude for the owner and employees of this floral shop. Last night I was frantic - my grandmother passed away and this was her first birthday away from us. I was running late and trying to make it to the cemetery on time, but wanted to get her a red rose - her favorite. The store was closed, but the gentleman who helped me must have seen the sadness/desperation in my eyes and kindly opened up the store, took the time to pick out a perfect rose, and even wrapped it with a ribbon so I could leave it for my grandmother. I cant say enough great things about my experience with Vito at The Potted Geranium last night. We are getting married at the Hanover Manor in November and this is the florist they use / recommended. I made the apt to meet with Vito not having a single clue what i wanted, what I liked, nothing. I knew my colors and that was it. I also went in with a very tight budget I was afraid he wouldn't be able to work with. Well I was very wrong. When I walked in I was so impressed with how he had a bunch of different arrangements, styles, and a wide display of flowers and plants, trees and wedding decor he had to offer. Its a small shop but he made it where there is a lot to look at but you dont feel claustrophobic. and who doesn't love the smell of fresh cut flowers?? Vito greeted me by name and sat my fiance and I down and locked the door so he could give us his undivided attention. He asked me what my colors were and what i liked. I gave him my little list of ideas and shows him some pintrest pictures. He immediately saw my vison and started showing me things he though I would like and it all came together very quickly. He knew what i wanted. After we came up with my dream bouquet and center pieces i braced myself for what the bill would be. I was very surprised at how he worked with my budget and only offered me things he know would be in my price range, I was so thankful. I cannot wait to work with him again as it gets closer to make final decisions. i would DEFINITELY recommend Vito and The Potted Geranium to any bride or anyone planning special occasions.
