Really liked the young lady who did my toes, however first walked in and the owner did not greet me and when she checked me out she was very dry. I asked a question about lashes because if she would have turned to the left to where I was looking she would have seen the sign she has up there that lists prices of nails including lashes. Her vibe is not what is on social media. Also, if you are going to have an open space like that the acoustics are loud so get some paintings and some sort of rug to help with the negative space. This was literally the worst experience I've ever had at a nail salon. The owner or manager was beyond rude. I literally asked for a full set & pedicure. Wasn't greeted friendly with a hello or anything just told they'd have to soak of my nails because I hadn't got them there before. Make a long story short I said ok no problem. Then noticed my nails were soaking for literally almost TWO HOURS (I came in at 4 and it was now after 530pm) mind you there was only one other client in the place...I had asked for a French manicure. In which she expressed since I wanted that instead of $125 in total it was $185...I asked why the $60 increase she said because a French manicure was a design.. I said ok ill just get a regular paint job & pay the $125. She replied dryly "You seem uneasy are you ok??"... I just came from a beautiful lunch , fun shopping spree at ulta & was in a GREAT MOOD & didn't understand what was happening or why she was talking to me in this manner.. I said yes. Im fine. Just curious about the major price increase & said id just get my nails done and opt out of the pedicure. That's when she literally stopped doing my nails and asked again if I was ok...In which i replied "because I'm canceling my pedicure????" Then the insults began her saying "well you're rolling your eyes and neck when talking to me "... I was shocked & said listen im having a beautiful day and just wanted a full set and pedicure and don't understand what's happening...That's when she said..Well I don't have to do your nails and you can leave.... There was absolutely no attitude, loud talking or cursing or anything to warrant this... Not sure how this place has lasted . Went to one of the stores next door to her establishment and told them what happened & they said "Yes they're new over her and that im not the 1st person to come out of the salon upset with them... I have been eyeing this place for months since my mom just moved to New Orleans recently and she lives right across the street from this salon. The convenience really got me interested so I had a wedding to attend and decided to try this place for the first time. I just got a pedicure- the "regular" pedicure.... Which was a mandatory gel pedicure (meaning you can't pick regular nail polish) and it was $60. $60 for a classic pedicure is steep but I got it anyway because I was desperate. Once I got there, the nice girl told me that I could get regular nail polish but the gel "was included" in the price. So why not get gel that would last longer since I'm paying $60. You have to pay a $40 deposit online to book your appointment then pay the balance once the service is completed. The music was great that they were playing that morning, all R&B and a lot of my favorite artist Beyonce! They do offer you a beverage or an adult beverage (a mimosa) and will ask you if you'd like another one when you leave. The only reason why I'm giving this place 4 stars is because of the upkeep of the salon and the appearance of the uniforms the nail techs wear. All the equipment looked kind of run down but also what stood out to me was the nail techs had on scrub-like uniforms that were all painted on and run down. I've been to many nail salons in my lifetime and the appearance of the people working on your nails and feet (and lashes and brows since they provide that service as well) is important since customers always want to know they are in a clean place especially where if it isn't clean - you run the risk of getting infections etc. AND the fact that the pricing here is high, you expect the presentation to be of higher quality. Now if my pedicure was $25-$30 then things not being top tier would be expected. But all in all a cool place. Don't think this will be my go-to on a regular basis tho. My toes did come out good and still look good almost two weeks later!! read more

After looking for her I finally see her crossing the street with some food. She then came back to me and said I needed a little more time in the acetone. She then was gone longer probably eating her food. It was not communicated that she would be taking a lunch break while servicing me. I would have been understanding but it was very rude to play with my time. Walked out paying $35 for a soak off I basically did myself!!! Never again. I originally booked my husband with the owner to hope he'd have the best experience and somehow ended up with another nail tech. The employees strolled in around 9:35-9:40, most disheveled. The woman working at the front desk was not too warm or friendly but I can get past that. The 2 women that did our pedicures were nice and did an okay job but nothing over the top as I was expecting to get the "best pedicure in town" as they advertise. We also were not offered a drink as advertised. Floors were dirty from the day before. You can just tell there is no up keep or love for the presentation of this salon. Victoria and her team provide high quality luxury services in a comfortable and friendly environment. Normally, I get a full acrylic freestyle set, but recently I've been reckless and neglectful of my nails. But the customer service is lacking.There have been multiple occasions where I felt like I was being talked to with an attitude or a nail tech showing up late or not showing up at all. The nail tech that did my nails did my pedi and the pedi was like 10 mins she only did 2 coats and my toes clearly needed another coat because the nail polish she was using barely had any polish in it to begin with and for $60 for a pedi I've gotten way more better service for less ! Unprofessional, overpriced, and they're super aggressive with hands. The times I've been here I've left with literal cuts and pulsating fingers from them filing way too aggressive. Not to mention they bad mouth their clients as soon as they walk out of the door. I've seen it first hand. I've also noticed that the techs pick and choose who they want to do quality work for. You gotta be a favorite to be satisfied here and even then it doesn't live up to the standards. The customer service and quality of work is definitely not worth the price.
