    Great selection of handguns

Great selection, fair pricing and awesome service. Everything you need in your local gun store!

Great place for all your Preparedness needs!! Always fast and friendly service and good location for FFL transfers.

I can't even find the words to praise these guys and ladies over here. I'm an alien who happened to develop a taste for guns and eventually got a suppressor. As you would've guessed, it's not too easy for a non-citizen to obtain a heavily regulated item like that. I wasn't able to certify eForm 4 and nobody knew why because I guess again, not too many aliens trying to get those. These people really came through for me and I'm now proud owner of suppressors. Highly recommend check these guys out and support our local business.

Not the biggest store in town for sure, but you will find everything you need there. If not, they will get it for you. Im there for good stuff, service and firearm advice. Don't try to compare prices with only retailer, its not worth it, the in store experiences are worth way more. I built all my guns from parts purchased from TPD, some were cheaper some were more expensive but overall I gain knowledge. Also they will help you get a suppressor if this your first time. They wont try to sell you a bad expensive can, so dont worry about it.

So I hate to leave a bad review but enough is enough. I'm an avid shooter and frequent ranges…read morepretty often. Just moved to Douglasville and decided since this location is close, I'd check them out because I actually needed help installing a part. I called the location and was told "Our tech is at lunch but he will be back in 20 minutes if you want to swing by". Awesome! I headed that way and when I got there, it just seemed like a bunch of kids working. No hello, no nothing. I get to them who never asked if I needed help and they are just staring at me. I explained what I needed (taking off a spring clip) and was told "We don't have that tool. Go to Gables". Gables is actually an amazing place and the guys are awesome so I don't know why I didn't go there in the first place. So I left. A couple weeks later, I went back to Stoddards for some range time since Gables doesn't have a range. Once again, no hello, no how can we help you, nothing. I ask the guy about renting a range just so I could site in a red dot and he goes to someone else then comes back and says "We aren't taking anymore shooters". It was only 1:30pm. Now it was Christmas Eve and they were closing at 4 I think but there were empty lanes and it was only 1:30pm. The staff just looks like a bunch of kids who don't care about what you want, they just don't wNt to do anything that requires energy. If you need an amazing gun store or gun smith, go to Gables Sporting Goods in Douglasville. If you are looking for a range, go to Governors in Hiram or The Pit in Villa Rica (contact through Instagram). It's a shame cuz the Atlanta location is so nice and friendly. This place isn't worth your time.

Great spot to do some shooting! Staff were all friendly, polite, and helpful. Smooth and easy…read moreprocess. Nice range area. Decent pricing and a nice variety of guns to rent for shooting if you don't have your own. They will have you go through the motions of loading and unloading the gun if it's your first time shooting there or if it's been over a year, which I think is great. Safety first! Great experience! Thank you!

The customer service was A1 from every point of contact…read more Kudos to Ross who I got on the phone to decide where I wanted to go for my range experience. Ross was thorough, pleasant, patient, informative and kind on the phone! When I arrived, Dave took care of me at the Range counter and he was SOOOO informative. He gave me so much great information and again was super patient with all of my questions. Mike did my 30 minute session and honestly, minus the arsenal on this mans waist, I just wanted to give him a big hug. What a kind soul who can probably shoot the peen off of an ant at 50 yards. #inreallife. So I wouldn't suggest the whole hug thing, but he IS my new best friend in my head. Not just because he told me what an amazing job I did, but because from his thorough teaching manner, to the exercises he instructed me through, and his obvious concern for my safety, I felt cared for. The facility is beautiful and the staff are well qualified and very welcoming. I will take my new best friend Mike's advice and be a once a week customer. I quadruple LOVED my visit from the intro video, to Dave showing me how to sign up for classes online, to my active range time....the process is easy, and the pricing is great for range time, targets and ammo. I didn't have time to look at the gun selections, but from what I did have chance to gander, it is impressive. I loved my experience and am grateful to everyone at the Governors Gun Club for treating me so well!

First off, their staff is your typical rude bunch of know it all people who have no customer…read moreservice skills whatsoever. Secondly, I have shot at this range four times in my life and every time I have brought steel case ammunition, not steel core, steel case, and I'm well aware you're not allowed to bring steel core ammunition. So come to my surprise when I go there to shoot my guns with my little cousin that they say I can't use any of my steel case ammunition because it might cause a fire in the augers. Whatever that means. I had called them beforehand because I wanted to ask about using my personal ammo for a rental shotgun and they said of course I can and when I got there, they basically forced me to buy their own ammo because I'm not allowed to apparently do what they said I could over the phone. And then here's the best part, inside the range there's no range safety officer (RSO). Yep, they're all still in the lobby area sitting around talking chitchatting and laughing, drinking coffee and having donuts while everyone regardless of their skill with a firearm just shoots away. And wouldn't you happen to know that there was guys shooting their AR with a bump stock basically looking like they were shooting a fully automatic firearm and nobody said nothing. I don't even think they even saw it while I was there. Heck I could've just shot all my case ammunition and they wouldn't have cared. It's honestly a mix of bad customer service, ridiculous policy changes, and the amounts of them not caring about anything going on there that really makes this place a terrible range. I'll never be coming back to any of these Governers locations. They're all the same.
