The rooms were completely redone from top to bottom, under new ownership and management. I have worked with the new manager and front desk staff on a couple of occasions and found them friendly, prompt and accommodating, totally competent. Please checkout the website for this hotel to see the rooms, the conference room/ballroom, and views of the harbour. A penthouse was added as well, with great views of the area. I really am shocked that these out-of-date reviews have been left on Yelp and I hope that they will be removed as they are just irrelevant and unfair to the business. Bonus, the restaurant is handy and has a great lunch menu with reasonable (moderate) prices.

It was basically right off the lobby. They treated us very well. The only big issue was no air conditioning and it was approaching 85 to 90 degrees Fahrenheit!!! Since our rooms were across from each other we opened the windows and hall doors and got good air flow. But at night it was pretty warm. The other issue was the breakfast area. Pretty small and with no a/c it was a bit toasty, so to speak. But it was great other than that. We'd stay here again.

This hotel is way past its prime and is about to cross the line from shabby to seedy. The place is filthy from top to bottom. The exception was the linens; the bedding and towels were clean, but the cracks and crevices and edges and corners were filthy, from the elevator to the rooms to the bathrooms it was bad. The lock set on the bathroom door was falling out, the edges and corners of the floor by the tub were gross with accumulated dirt and grime, the edges like the doorways were just packed with dirt and filth, the caulking in the tub wascovered in mold and mildew, the bathroom fan vent obviously hadn't been vacuumed in ages The electrical outlets are worn out and loose; our cell phone charger fell out several times, scary There is no AC and the one tiny 8"x16" window that opened to allow some ventilation didn't even have a screen The restaurant attached to the hotel has awful prefab food and was a huge letdown Sadly there were not many available options in Prince Rupert but I would NEVER stay here again and I would discourage anyone from staying here I will say the maids and maintenance people I spoke to were much more friendly than the zombies at the front desk, but it's obvious they aren't doing their jobs
