Waxing is just something that is never going to be super comfortable, but if you have to do it, this is the absolute best way! it's quick and easy... before you can say "ouch" the waxing session is over! I love this place... so much so that I hope to work here once I'm state board certified in esthetics. The review applies to every Pretty Kitty store I've been to - Henderson, Las Vegas, and Tustin. I discovered this store when it opened in Henderson, NV over by Green Valley Ranch. I met the store owner and she made me feel so at home as soon as I walked in and even shared her wonderful story as to how she started the business in San Diego. Not only was I impressed with how FAST they are, but in my previous experiences with other boutiques, the quality of the wax was AMAZING! I always feel so refreshed, clean and pretty when I leave there! I ALWAYS recommend making an appointment, but in case you have an emergency, they tried really hard to see if an accomodation could be made for me on one such occasion, and fortunately I got lucky`. I then started going to the Summerlin location once that opened on Flamingo in Vegas and met the team. Although they were new to the store, I could see that their training and etiquette were purrfectly consistent with the other store. The feeling of familiarity is what kept me coming back. I can tell that this means so much to the owner and management team. I am now in Southern California and was SO EXCITED to see that more stores were open in Orange County. The staff at the Tustin store are so sweet and I could tell that the same awesome training has been applied to them as well! The store looks just like the ones in Vegas, so it was like a slice of home! I am so happy for the owner is doing well with more stores and I wish her all the best with her future stores/business. I honestly had a horrible experience. I was expecting it to be a lot different than it was. The environment isn't welcoming, the room is entirely lit up bright (not just on your goods), the wax is way too hot, and it's just not worth the price point. I will not be coming back. read more

I got a full bikini wax by Kimber about 2 weeks ago and it was an okay wax. She was nice, but she moved super quickly and I noticed many stray hairs i had to tweeze when i got home. I felt like the service could have been more personal and upbeat with still finishing in 15 mins. So most of the time my sessions have gone fine. Once I was "cut" by the wax and the girl apologized. I had no idea I was bleeding until I got home, it was in a VERY sensitive area. But I went back and had someone else wax me and it was fine. I would just suggest you don't go with someone who is new(er). Make sure you get someone seasoned. The girl offered me a small discount but I thought after I got home that is should have been for free. The next time I went, I told the other wax person and she said I should have called the owner. If it happens again, I would. But otherwise all other appointments have been fine. read more

It took about 10 minutes for my service which is a total PLUS in my book, why would you want to lay there for an hour??? anyways. DO NOT GO HERE FOR ANY SERVICES! Since they have changed staff they are terrible!!!! I used to have NO issues with this location untill they changed staff and my last wax was the absolute WORST! Hurt, ingrowns like no one's business and she did approximately 30 strips where the old girl was under 8. I tried to call and get a manager over 4 times and NO ONE bothered to call me back. I will NEVER visit this location again and I told ALL of my friends who I have referred there to STOP GOING! I am pissed that a Manager never had the decency to call me back after several attempts. No wonder all the amazing technicians left...This place is a JOKE!! Here's a warning!! Do NOT go here unless you want to be in pain for several days with bruising!! I hate leaving bad reviews, but my experience here was like nothing I've ever had before. While I did not catch her name, the blonde esthetician who was scheduled to do my Brazilian on 7/29 created a very judgmental and uncomfortable experience for me. After already feeling a strange vibe when checking in, after undressing and one strip being waxed I was told in a very condescending tone that my hair was too short for her to continue and that I should just shave instead like I always do. Although her follow-up recommendation to buy a men's razor at target could have been coming from a good place, it was delivered in a tone and context that was not only highly unprofessional but also made me very uncomfortable given the position I was in. I went on to get waxed instead a few hours later at the European Wax Center in Tustin and had a fabulous experience with no issues at all. I wanted to like this place and hope my experience was limited to just this esthetician, but the judgmental, condescending, and for lack of a better term "catty" experience I had here today left a horrible taste in my mouth. read more

Loved my experience here! It's super easy to make an appointment, they don't have an online appointment system (kinda sucks), but calling in isn't too difficult. The lady working in the front is super nice. I only went for my underarm the first time around, and the process was close to painless, the ladies working there are super professional! Shaughnessy was my amazing esthetician she was very professional and made sure to make it as painless as she possibly could. I love the Pretty Kitty! This place is just the best. I was more or less a first-timer when I came here, and they couldn't have made it easier on me. The location is great (although parking can be a bear), and the decor is so pretty and charming! They always have great music and do everything they can to make you comfortable. They're definitely the most efficient waxing establishment I've been to, but without being hurried or abrupt. Every aesthetician I've seen has been so nice and friendly, and you'll get the same perfect wax regardless of who you see, since they're all trained in the same precise (not at all painful!) technique. (That being said, I do try to ask for Katie whenever I go--she's my favorite!) These girls have got a really great thing going for them, I recommend them to everyone! read more

Wish I could give this place ZERO stars. It has taken a little over a YEAR for my bikini area to get back to normal after the horrifying results I suffered at the pretty kitty. The hair that grew in ingrown didn't stop after a week or two. I've been battling the effects of this wax for MONTHS. It was only after constant exfoliation, moisturizing and witholding from any and all hair removal that my bikini area has recovered. Finally after a year of leaving it be I got a sugaring appointment from a qualified esthetician and was able to have a smooth, ingrown free bikini line for the first time in over a year. I wish I could go back and complain in person but I moved immediately after my appointment and never had the time to go back. read more

I am so glad I gave this place a try! I am no stranger to Brazilian waxes and have tried many places all over OC. My wax here with Kimber was one of the best I have ever had. She is fast, thorough, and friendly. And by fast, I don't mean rushed and painful. It was actually less painful than most waxes and was done so fast, I hardly had a chance to let what I was doing sink in. She also was able to answer my questions (without getting annoyed) about what kind of wax they use, what it's made of, and why, which is important to me, because I do care about what is being rubbed on my skin. I also loved that I was easily able to get a same day appointment. My only complaint is that the prices are very steep. Though $60/Brazilian is the going rate in OC, many other places offer packages or loyalty programs. This place had a package of 4 for $5 off per wax, which isn't really competitive. I used the $15 off Yelp check in, which made it worth it, but I don't know if I'll be coming back unless they offer another special or come up with a good package. read more

This place has the absolute worst front desk service you'll ever see. All the five star reviews look fake -too poised writers probably paid for or written by friends. This review is real.I have told them repeatedly I don't want my phone number or my information in their computer system and it's in there and I asked her to remove it today and she said "no. " I was six minutes late for an appointment today and they refused to let me in saying I was late but when you schedule an appointment they don't tell you that.. They only have a one person working in the salon which makes no sense to me. It's not like they're giving anything away for free.Truthfully, their waxes are very expensive the product is very good and they get you in and out very quickly. But after driving 35 minutes because of bad traffic on the 55 freeway and being refused for being exactly 6 minutes late I suggest just don't go there. Last time I was there I waited for the person.Expensive and poor service- go somewhere else. My person was I prefer somewhere else was on vacation. read more
