Great food and drinks! Enjoyed the look of brewery. Going to make it one of our stops when we are in area!

Coworker and I walked over for dinner after work. The atmosphere is impressive upon approach, especially at night. The design of the place, especially internally, is damn well done. The server took a bit to greet us, but otherwise was prompt and friendly. Ordered dinner and drinks, which were fantastic. Especially for the Pub food variety, I was impressed. When the bill came, it was pleasently lower than either of us anticipated. So I would 100% recommend and 100% return. read more

Recovered mill space looks great! Bright, comfortable space with quality beer brewed on site. Limited pub menu for now, but I heard they are working on it. Overall, a great spot in L/A. read more

Worst place I've eaten in a long time... Food came Luke warm, salad came same time as entree, salad had little dressing had to ask for more Grill cheese was cold by the time I finished my meager salad, and then it was bland Couldn't get the attention of the server to get ketchup Pouutine was bland and soggy Mixed drink from bar was pretty good but was 1/2 ice in a small glass and zero straws available here ever! Love this place! Beautifully restored mill. Menu was not bad at all and clearly has expanded since previous reviews were submitted. Free soft pretzel Tuesday's was my first experience here. Great beer selection! Went again later in the week I loved it so much and joined the mugless club. Large open space, outdoor seating and lighting including a fire pit. Games available as well. Pleasantly surprised by this Lewiston gem. They have awesome food and drink happy hour specials mid week and all day Sunday! Great place to watch football. They have a large projector screen for Patriots games. Wings are good. Service was friendly. Highly enjoyed my visit. Will make this a regular stop. read more

Great atmosphere. We did not eat but we sure did have our share of cocktails. Service was very slow for drinks. Bartenders were very nice but like I said service was slow. Plenty of great beers and drink specials. Beautiful place, only downfall was slow service. read more

Great meal! And a really nice renovation! Good burger, cooked perfectly medium rare and my sandwich was well put together with a nice side salad. The beers were good and thank you for having a decent selection of wine by the glass! So many brewpubs either have no wine or awful wine. I love beer, but I can only drink one at a meal. Carry on! Very disappointing. Our group waited over an hour for mediocre fare. My wife's Caesar Salad was made with ranch dressing. The salad had been made ahead of time and the croutons were soggy. I ordered the Philly-Cheese steak which was listed as having "golden cheese sauce". They must have run out because it had mozzarella cheese instead. Mozzarella on a Cheese Steak? The sandwich was very small also and the meat was stake-um quality. They were also out of several items. Service was slow and not attentive. Beer was good. Prices were fair but it was definitely not worth the wait and I won't be rushing back. read more

This was our first visit to Baxter Brew Pub. The pub is absolutely beautiful. The service was also fine. They do offer a large selection of beer, but the wine and liquor selection is very limited. Howevrr, the greatest flaw is the menu. They offer several appetizers and 5 or 6 regular menu items. The portions are ridiculously small and the prices outrageous! The chairs are also not made for comfort. There were many televisions, so it's probably a good place to watch a game, but really not to eat. read more

First time in Maine with a group and this place was the most unfriendly pub I have ever been to. To start off my wife had spoken with the manager earlier in the day informing them that a group of around 20 would be visiting. We were told that would not be an issue, however the kitchen would be closed but they stayed open until 11pm (which is what's posted online). Needless to say, a friend of mine was already seated there prior to the groups arrival and informed us that her server was not pleasant. She as well as myself were informed around 8:45pm that it was last call for drinks. 8:45pm!! I asked the server what time the pub closes because posted signs stated 11pm. He informed me and my guests that once the kitchen closed they legally had to close the pub and they were closing now (9:00pm). I informed him I had a couple of more guests joining in which he looked very irritated. Other patrons entered the establishment and some were turned away while others were allowed to sit at the bar. The only shining light in that place other than the ambience, was Melissa. She continued to serve our party and was friendly and courteous. However, her coworkers seemed very irritated by this. I was given the bill and was collecting the money to only find out the server (I don't remember his name, but he had a shaved head and wore a mask with his beard poking out) had taken the bill and money from the table without consulting anyone and informed me I was short on payment (short .4¢). Needless to say, his over zealousness to leave and send us on our way led to his non-tip. This establishment has workers who do not want to work. A Saturday night and everyone but Melissa is rushing to close the place so they can enjoy their weekend. If the owner is reading this review: your workers are not in the business of having your establishment earn a profit and should be vetted for the likes of Melissa who understands what running a business means. read more

On Small Business Saturday my sister and I visited the Crafts for Crafts at The Pub at Baxter, where we decided to have lunch at the bar. We each ordered a beer and reviewed the menu for food. We had to flag the server to finally take our order. After waiting 30 minutes and not receiving our food we told the bartender, who took our order, we had not received our food, he checked the system and replied "oh the kitchen has it" my sister says to me yeah he just put it in. As it turns out she is right! We tell another bartender, 10 minutes later, we had been waiting 45 minutes and everyone around us who came in after us are done eating. He checks and says it was placed 17 minutes ago. The food comes and not much is right. I ordered French fries and got tater tots, my sister ordered a philly cheese steak without the cheese sauce and the sandwich comes with totally overcooked steak and cheese sauce. We tell the person who delivers the mistakes, and she tells the manager, who is the second bartender we spoke to about the late order. He comes over and says what would you like, tell him again the mistakes and he offers another sandwich but my sister says no I don't want to wait longer and I'm not eating this. He grudgingly says I will comp the food, then says he will comp everything. No apology from him or the bartender who made the error. Actually they avoided us the rest of the time we were there and the bartender who made all the errors had to wash glasses right in front of us and turned his head to the side so he would not look at us or say anything. Before we left I went to once again speak with the manager and said an apology for bad service would have gone a long way....his reply, oh I thought I apologized, I said no you did not and neither did the other guy. He snidely says well I apologize for not apologizing have a good rest of your day. I am a small business owner and always support our local businesses but I will not be going back to Baxter, because this is not the first time I have had issues there, but it is the last.
