Wasn't mean for about a week I went to Doolins almost every night. Food was great as where the people.

Stopped in here for drinks with friends on vacation. Nice full bar, bartender was great. We tried some local beers full of flavor. We didn't stay for dinner but we did share some appetizers. Soft pretzels and so delicious garlic parm wings. read more

This is the 2nd time here and both were excellent experiences! Good food and great service! The Fried Pickles were the best we have had. The Pickles seemed to be with a hand made fresh pickle, not too sweet and not too dill, and the sauce was perfect! The Beef Stew simply melted in my mouth and was more beef than veggies. My husband's Cobb Salad was fresh and delicious! The waitress was very nice and knowledgeable, even about whether the ham in the Cordon Bleu special contained nitrates (which triggers migraines for me). We will go back again and again! read more

We always have a good time at Doolin's. The best part of the place is the staff. They are SO friendly and fun. The menu is not huge, but I always find something I an excited to try. And the food is always very good. Burgers are big, fish is tasty, tacos are awesome. Sometimes they even have entertainment. read more

Have you ever found yourself looking for a place to eat in a town so small there are two traffic lights, no police and "downtown" is considered the space between the church and the post office? Well if you happen to find yourself in Litchfield Maine and hungry then it is a must to follow your nose to Doolins Pub. What once was a club house for the adjacent golf course is now a hearty place of refuge for locals or lost travelers. My friends and I found ourselves at this gem of a watering hole tonight and were greeted and welcomed by our server Meghan S. The place was pretty full and I immediately noticed the beer steins (club) hanging as well as a numerous list of beers, ales, lagers and mead served. Ok, maybe not mead but they might have it! We wet our collective whistles with cocktails made to order and a basket of battered fried pickles. While my colleagues enjoyed the brisket over mac-n-cheese, I decided to indulge in a bacon cheddar burger served with battered fries. The burger was cooked perfect tasted amazing and .....BEST FRIES ever!!! There was very little wait time and great portion sizes. Meghan S. was awesome and took care of all our requests and questions with great service w/ a smile. The atmosphere was inviting, cozy and worth the visit. I would highly recommend you give it a try. Oh ..... if you own golf clubs, shoes and ensemble etc., ( I'm not so sure that qualifies to call yourself a golfer), However - if so, you could work up an appetite first by walking around the course looking for the ball you shanked into the woods . Nice Pub with Pub fair. Great selection of beers and ciders. The food is overall is very Good. The Pasta pesto dish I had was excellent it just needed some type of bread or a bread option that I would have paid extra for. Everyone in my party seem to like their food. I have been to Doolins 4 times now for Trivia Night with friends and family. The trivia is always fun. The staff, food, and beverages are AWESOME. The wait staff are prompt, knowledgeable, friendly, and accurate! The food is fresh, tasty, and has a great "yummy" quality. Amazingly surprised! I expected fair pub food with a small selection of drinks, not so! We went out to listen to some music and have a beer and found the place was full except one high top table. They have a great selection of drinks and typical pub menu with a few specials. My wife had a great spinach salad with 2 skews of grilled shrimp perfectly cooked. I had a Thanksgiving Sandwich with homemade chips nicely seasoned and all extremely hot out of the kitchen They had a lot of big parties but the service and speed of the kitchen was amazing. Ate here yesterday. The line was ridiculously long and we had to wait an hour for food, but once it came it was totally worth it. I had the "spice up your life" burger and it was absolutely delicious. My only disappointment was that the jalapeños were fried (I prefer them raw and it wasnt specified on the menu). My boyfriend had the Reuben and it was also great (he let me try a bite!). For my side I had the house chips which were phenomenal. He had the sweet potato fries which were "pretty good". Altogether not your average run of the mill small town diner. This food would be excellent anywhere in the world. read more

This place is exactly what this little community needed. The food is way above average for central Maine. We've never had a bad meal. Salt n vinegar calamari and buffalo wings to start is our go to. We also love taco Tuesday with the delicious haddock tacos. The Reuben is too notch with homemade corned beef. The grilled shrimp is another favorite. You can't go wrong with any of the burgers or the burrito either. They have over 20 beers on tap. I wish they would get more Maine IPAs on tap, but can't complain because they keep the selection varied. read more

My wife and I enjoyed the food! Our waitress was courteous and friendly. We were pleasantly surprised to find such good food and a decent beer selection out here in Litchfield. The dining room was unremarkable and I think maybe because of CoVid the dining room setup was a little awkward... We will be back for lunch again though! The big dog challenge (pictured below) is a tough one to conquer, and I was defeated (but I will try again, and will earn that shirt!). Great people and fun ambiance. We have a summer camp up in Tacoma Lakes, and discovering this place was a nice surprise!! There are hardly any small spots to go eat around this area, but this is my new go-to! The restaurant has lots of room, and is clean. Got seated right away, waitstaff was awesome. We went in on a Wednesday at 7, and there was a good crowd of friendly people. Tons of great beer on tap, including some local beers :) I got some wings as an appetizer- they were AMAZING- I will be back for wings for sure. The servers know how to take care of you. It's open to the public in Scott, beautiful scenery. The locals are always welcome mean you see pictures of dogs on the wall which is one of my favorite parts of it me being someone who is not understanding of pub culture I was weary, that I would be turned away or shunned because I was not a member. When they say that they have a bloody Mary brunch, they put huge shrimps with huge chicken wings. If you want it with your bloody Mary, their food is amazing. The owner of the meadows is a gem. This is a disability, friendly, family, friendly, place they can hold events. They also have lots of different community events as well, such as comedy and other things. My first time there I bought a shirt because I really enjoyed how they were treating me like so i continued to come back. The staff learned my name, and the owner even gave me a hat. Tried it for the second time because the first time the service was horrible. Well, as expected, it was horrible once again. Both times, my friend's drink order came to us wrong after waiting longer than 30 min just for the drinks. Waitstaff did not check on us at all, so we had to flag down a different waitress (ours was hanging by the bar) to ask that it be sent back. Bacon side was undercooked, so sent that back as well. The manager came to our table to ask how he could "make it right," and I responded "I don't know" because I don't know their policies on how to make it right - as manager, HE should know and DO something. After I explained all our complaints, he said he would be back to get my number so the owner could call me to fix things. He then disappeared for the remainder of our time there AND we were charged for all drinks even the one that was wrong and sent back without more than a sip taken from it and the bacon side that was sent back was also still charged to us. If you have lots of money and endless time to kill and aren't hungry or thirsty at all, go to Doolin's. Otherwise, I recommend you go somewhere else! read more
