Fried Oreo sundae (yum)
Mackenzie T.

one of my most favorite restaurants in the Augusta area!! This drive in is not only absolutely adorable but well priced and has such a big menu. They have Maine hotdogs (the little pink ones) which is super nostalgic. Their fried food is incredible - I opt for the cheese curds but their chicken and seafood is great too! And the cherry on top is literally that - a cherry on top (of a sundae)! They have the most amazing fried Oreo sundae (my fav) but if you aren't feeling like stuffing your face, they have so many options like a proper ice cream joint. Waiters/waitresses come to your car to greet you and are always pleasant- they definitely have fun working there. I think about Fast Eddies alllll the time and it's one of the only restaurants I truly miss since moving from Maine

Clam dinner

Exactly what we wanted- roadside diner with that old school feel and fresh food. Unfortunately we didn't get to try the ice cream because a bus filled with children showed up but my clam dinner was fantastic. The vibe was retro and not overly kitschy. Prices were good and plenty of seating or the car hop.

(Really a 3 1/2 stars, probably more if you get something else) Went nearly as soon as they opened this season because I've always wanted to try it. I ordered a lobster roll and onion rings. The lobster roll was okay...had plenty of meat, served on a hamburger bun, but was freezing cold and pretty tasteless. The onion rings were a 4 out of five.

Great place for hamburgers, cheeseburgers, French fries on a summer day! They have delicious ice cream and flavors to choose from. The only thing missing is a drive in movie theatre! We stopped by to grab some dinner and the waitresses come up to your car to take your order. Very similar to Sonic but better! They have real blueberries in their milkshake which was SPECTACULAR! Perfect fun for the family and puppers. Lovely place stop on by!

Best lobster rolls ever. Very generous amount of lobster meat with just a little mayo and lettuce on a solid burger-style bun. Fun retro-themed drive in with car hop service, window service, picnic tables, and a small playground.

Passing threw the area , was hungry and I saw this cool food joint ! Ordered a coffee shake and fish tacos . Both we good . The waitress was friendly . The tray goes on your window just like in the old days !

Fish 'n' Chips

We happened to be in Winthrop and stopped in to try it. The fries were very crispy and fresh, could have used a bit more salt. The breading on the fish was crispy and well seasoned, the fish was moist and well cooked, but had very little flavor. My husband liked his shake, but I found it too sweet. The staff was great and the retro decor and music were wonderful (hence the 4 stars). The cost was typical, but I do expect better quality for $37 for 2.

Meh. It was ok. Lots of trump hats. And didn't like the person taking our order asking for a tip.

Tacky as heck. The food was not good. Service was okay but there are so many other good restaurants in the area. No need to stop in.

I ordered the eggs with biscuits & sausage gravy and my husband ordered the country breakfast, which included Hashbrowns, and sausage, along with eggs, biscuits and gravy. I thought biscuits and gravy was a southern thing. I didn't know they could make it here in Maine. First, the gravy was a cream gravy, full of sausage bits and chunks, with deep sausage flavor. Perfectly seasoned, salty and peppery, this was an excellent sausage gravy. But, THE BISCUIT! THE BISCUIT! Homemade from a local bakery right in town, the biscuit was absolutely incredible. Fluffy, tender, yet a little moist, slightly sweet and salty, it was perfect. The perfect biscuit. The biscuits and gravy were a most gratifying experience. The service was attentive and friendly. The only drawback, which was minor, was that my eggs were a little overdone. My husband sincerely appreciated the display of military heroes on the wall of the restaurant with photos and medals. Straightforward restaurant, good food, good value. In fact, we went twice.

The free street parking right outside the restaurant was an unexpected and pleasant surprise. Just as surprising was the overpriced and just-okay food. I gotta say, both the inside and outside vibe of the place are a bit misaligned with the menu and food quality, and also the prices. We arrived at around noon and the menu unfortunately didn't look any breakfast items as they stopped those at 11am. Instead, our options were burgers, sandwiches, and dinner plates. The menu was quite extensive and creative -- it wasn't your typical diner menu (Asian noodles?!) -- but also, prices were steep for a place like this. A cheeseburger was $16+, with an extra $1 charge for tomato and onion. The sandwiches were more expensive and just included chips -- fries were an up-charge. Honestly, just the prices alone were a turn off. My burger -- I ordered the one with brie and jam on it -- was so underwhelming. Not even an exciting cheese like brie could save it. What a shame because it really did seem like such a cool spot!

I had the Otis Burger, and let me just say... wow. Two perfectly smashed patties stacked with grilled pastrami, Swiss cheese, pickles, and mustard--it was a flavor bomb in the best possible way. Every bite hit with that perfect balance of savory, salty, tangy, and grilled goodness. My wife went with the chorizo enchiladas, and she couldn't stop raving about them. Authentic flavor with just the right kick, beautifully prepared and plated. The change from the previous ownership is night and day. The food quality is top-tier, and the service is nothing short of legendary. Even though the staff is mostly young and relatively new to the industry, you can tell they care. They hustle, they smile, and they're clearly learning fast. Also worth mentioning--Stevie J's social media game is strong! They're active, engaging, and do a great job getting the word out about new menu items and specials. This is exactly what Livermore Falls needed. Fresh and hot defined these apps perfectly! The sticks were warm and stringy, the pretzels were warm, soft, and salty. The cheese dip was actually delicious and tasted nothing like a can mix. For the main courses we had the home made mac and cheese that was topped with pulled pork which was sauced in Sweet Baby Rays and the Loaded Nachos topped with the Firehouse's award winning chili. The food all came out sized for a table of 8 with savory and sweet hints of deliciousness! The waitress was welcoming, outgoing, and offered sound advice on food choices. The cook staff was timely and efficient, and the bar tender was busy busy slinging cups full of the nectar of God (BEER!!)! The Firehouse House ambience lived up to the name with firefighter equipment, first responder memorabilia, and crafty decor. The only downside to this establishment is that is dark and throws a dive bar vibe. 9/10... we will be coming back here for sure (and ordering less food)!!
