Don't let the exterior fool you. The cuts of meat are as good as you'll find anywhere. And the prime rib sandwich... never, ever pass it up.

Host, servers, sommelier were all so nice. We had the beef Wellington which was delicious and split a great Caesar salad. Both excellent. This place is pricey but worth it. I made a reservation for five of us, and we were counting down the days like it was a holiday. When we arrived, we valet parked and made our way inside. The restaurant is a little tucked away. Head downstairs past the hotel lounge and you will find it. It kind of gives the place a secret, speakeasy vibe, which I loved. We were greeted warmly and led to a private dining room that was beyond charming. It featured a renovated poker table that now serves as a dining table. It was unique, intimate, and perfect for our group. We were offered still or sparkling water right away, and the service was attentive from start to finish. Joe, our server, was fantastic. He knew we were celebrating and made the experience feel personalized from the moment we sat down. He also knew I was there for the Beef Wellington. I had noted it in the reservation, which I highly recommend, because they only prepare a limited number each day. They saved one for me, and I am still dreaming about it. Since it was our first time, we went all out. We shared Caesar salads, a small chilled seafood tower, bourbon-glazed pork belly, and an artisanal cheese board. Everything was top-notch. I do not even eat seafood, but the tarragon sauce on the tower was absolutely incredible. I would put that on toast, fries, maybe even a shoe. It was that good. For mains, most of us ordered the New York strip steaks. My husband chose the Summer of Steak flight, and I finally got my hands on the Wellington. Every entrée was cooked perfectly and packed with flavor. These were easily some of the best steaks we have had in Omaha. We also ordered four sides to share, which was just right for our group of five. The truffle fries were hot and crispy with a lemon aioli that I wanted to take home in a bottle. The asparagus was fresh and perfectly done. The mashed potatoes were whipped and fluffy. The aged cheddar mac and cheese was everything it should be--gooey, rich, and ridiculously satisfying. Naturally, we did not stop there. We sampled a few desserts: Baked Alaska, Coconut Torte, and the Blackstone Butterbrickle. All three were excellent. There was not a single bite left behind. The cocktails were also a standout. Some of the best margaritas we have had in a while. The bartender deserves his own round of applause. Yes, it was a splurge. With tip, the bill came to around $1,200. But it was a birthday, and as my dad always says, if the food and the experience were good, it was money well spent. And this absolutely was. The Committee Chophouse delivered at every level: flavor, service, ambiance, and attention to detail. We left full, happy, and already talking about when we can go back.

Pretty difficult to get a reservation on the weekend unless you think ahead but they also have a bar with open seating if you want to go that route which is what I did. The restaurant itself has an outdoor patio with impeccable views of the lake. Perfect for a night out with friends or a date night. This time I got wagyu bolognese, lobster bisque, honey cornbread, and wagyu sliders. The wagyu sliders were so moist and cooked to perfection. They're paired well with an aioli that's gives it a little flair. The highlight of the show was the Wagyu Bolognese. I often struggle with pasta being too heavy of a dish but this one was perfect. The pasta was very tender and was clearly homemade which was bonus points for me. Bar service was great and I've never had any complaints. Can't wait to be back for more here soon!

For our meals, I ordered the Wagyu Bolognese ($30), and my friend had the Braised Short Rib ($39). We also shared the Herb Butter Buns ($8), which were fabulous--hot, soft, and served with whipped butter and flaked sea salt. Pure perfection. Unfortunately, the entrees were disappointing. Salted Edge is definitely more of a "treat" for us given the price, and we were both excited to try Chef Joel Hassanali's creations. With his background--growing up in Trinidad, working in his parents' Caribbean restaurant, and training under world-renowned chefs in NYC--we were expecting bold flavors and spice. Instead, both dishes were surprisingly bland. Her short rib, which comes with a jalapeño potato cake, Bloomsdale creamy spinach, and horseradish crumble, lacked the punch we were hoping for. The ambiance is lovely, the staff attentive and polished, and everything looks beautiful. The pasta was freshly made, the meat tender, and the presentation impressive. But for those of us who don't get to splurge on fine dining often, the food didn't deliver the wow factor we expected. Overall, it was an elegant experience, but I'm in no rush to return.

The space is super cute and bigger than I expected. I love that the windows open up and give it an indoor/outdoor vibe, and the tropical décor makes it feel fun and cozy at the same time. There's plenty of seating, and they can fit both small and big groups. We were a party of about eight and were still able to find a good spot together. Something I really liked is that they let you bring food from other places since they don't serve any, which is perfect if you want to hang out for a while. Their drink menu is huge, and the presentation is honestly amazing. When we first got there it was slow, but it definitely got busier as the night went on. We did struggle a bit when it was time to check out because all the servers were running around, so just be ready for that on a busy night. Overall, we had a great time. The drinks were really good, the vibe was great, and I'd definitely go back.

It was kind of confusing whether we had to go order at the bar or if someone was going to come take our order, but eventually someone came to us. I got the Exotic Bird and it was definitely my favorite drink out of the group. The seating was a bit of a challenge as we had to seat ourselves and we had a decently large group, so we had to wander around for a bit trying to find a spot, but we eventually did. I'll probably be back to try more drinks, but maybe when they are less busy!

First time at West End Omaha and I'm already plotting my return. Showed up yesterday on a random…read moresnowy afternoon while visiting friends in the area--heard nothing but good things, and wow, it delivered. Walked in around 2:30 pm on a total snow day and basically had the place to myself, which was kind of perfect. The vibe inside is exactly what I want in a bar: dark, moody, a little sexy, with dim lighting and rich wood tones. Total escape from the bland strip-mall parking lot outside. Night-and-day difference the second you step through the door. Happy hour runs every day until 6 pm (huge win), so I grabbed the Toasted & Roasted martini for $9--yes, it comes with a toasted marshmallow garnish that actually works--and it was dangerously good. Sweet, smoky, strong... one of those drinks you sip slowly because you don't want it to end. Paired it with the buffalo chicken sliders + fries and demolished everything. Sliders were spicy without being overkill, sauce was on point, and the fries were perfectly crispy. Service was friendly and quick even though it was quiet, and the bartender checked in just the right amount. Prices felt fair (especially with happy hour), and the whole experience just felt... cool. Like the kind of neighborhood spot you brag about finding. Already texted my local friends that they've been sleeping on this place. West End Omaha, I'll be back--hopefully next time with a bigger group so we can try more of the menu. Highly recommend!
