Don't let the exterior fool you. The cuts of meat are as good as you'll find anywhere. And the prime rib sandwich... never, ever pass it up.

I had a very tasty lunch at Legacy Chophouse. I was in the area for an appointment and decided to…read morestop in after seeing lots of parking as I drove by. A friendly, loquacious fellow quickly showed me to a booth, then retreated to the bar. I was actually seated in the bar area, but I could hear the noise of diners on the other side of the wall. A quick glance later confirmed another dining area, plus outdoor seating and an apparent balcony that also had tables. The menu has a lot of choices but only one jumped out at me as vegan--the black bean burger. The waitress asked if I was ok with cheese on it, which I was. I also ordered a serving of French onion soup, which just seemed like it would hit the spot. For the small amount of diners in the space, it took a bit longer than expected to get my lunch. The soup was already cool enough to eat, which surprised me. The burger was also not piping hot which makes me think the food was sitting out for awhile before it got to me. However, that didn't stop me from enjoying it. The cheesy crouton on the soup was stretchy with melted cheese atop lots of onions and flavorful broth. The burger had onions, lettuce and tomato slices dressing it, and had a bit of spiciness that was just right. I had coffee too, and it was good. This place is far off from my usual haunts, so likely I won't be back, unless I happen to be in the area again.

At $25 each, they're on the pricier side, but the quality made up for it. Food took a little longer than expected to come out, but the staff was friendly and polite throughout, which made the wait easier to overlook. Overall a solid experience, we'd go back.

We were decently early on a Saturday night so we were able to slip right into a table! The food was good, I had the hummus plate with pita and cucumbers for dipping, love that they offer both options! The bartender whipped up a mocktail in a martini glass so I could still play along on our "Martini Flight Night" across Omaha! It was a spicy martini, with some fancy black salt, I'm not quite sure, but it was fantastic!

Walked in around 2:30 pm on a total snow day and basically had the place to myself, which was kind of perfect. The vibe inside is exactly what I want in a bar: dark, moody, a little sexy, with dim lighting and rich wood tones. Total escape from the bland strip-mall parking lot outside. Night-and-day difference the second you step through the door. Happy hour runs every day until 6 pm (huge win), so I grabbed the Toasted & Roasted martini for $9--yes, it comes with a toasted marshmallow garnish that actually works--and it was dangerously good. Sweet, smoky, strong... one of those drinks you sip slowly because you don't want it to end. Paired it with the buffalo chicken sliders + fries and demolished everything. Sliders were spicy without being overkill, sauce was on point, and the fries were perfectly crispy. Service was friendly and quick even though it was quiet, and the bartender checked in just the right amount. Prices felt fair (especially with happy hour), and the whole experience just felt... cool. Like the kind of neighborhood spot you brag about finding. Already texted my local friends that they've been sleeping on this place. West End Omaha, I'll be back--hopefully next time with a bigger group so we can try more of the menu. Highly recommend!
