Went to the pub on the drive after a great morning at the beach. I saw that it just so happened to be $6 burger day. The burger was amazing juice perfectly cooked. It is very hard to find a place that cooks to the temperature requested, but this place is spot on. I ordered the cheddar burger with sweet potato fries. I enjoyed it so much that it went great with my long island tea that my bartender Juan and his Co bartender Jamey the banter between the two had me in laughter, downside of the service was Juan and Jamey are only available daytime and only Monday to Friday. We've been coming to this bar for years. We just love the neighborhood feel and festive environment. Plus they have 2 for 1 drinks daily. Sweet! The last time we're here, we actually got some food. We tried the Fish and Chips and 10 Piece Chicken Wings. They were actually decent and only $12 each. Good portion size too so we shared both plates. We always sit at the bar facing the stage because the service tends to be faster. I suggest going to their website to check the schedule of the shows. As it has been seven years since I first reviewed The Pub - Wilton Manors, it is time to update as there has been a change. The place has a decent interior with two good sized bars, a small stage for entertainment which they regularly have varying from game contests to drag shows to karaoke. The sound system isn't all that good but unfortunately that doesn't prevent them from knocking up the volume to the point that there is significant distortion as well a potential for hearing damage. The most significant change is that they now serve food and have Chef Howie, formerly of the Courtyard Café as their chef. So now you can not only get your burgers as well as the usual bar food but also some really great fit for foodies items such as fried lobster, oysters, cod bites, soups such as clam chowders, lobster rolls, etc. Plus, at prices significant less than you'd find at places the likes of Kelly's, Shooters, Even Keel Fish & Oyster and others specializing in such dishes. For a bar the place is kept spotlessly clean and the service is good but with the problem that the food and the bar service are kept entirely separate. So, you need a food waiter to serve you your food and give you your food bill and one of the bar tenders to serve you your drinks and charge you separately from your food. It can get confusing and annoying. As gay bars along The Drive go, it's a three star OK average, but with the good food addition and such things a Lobster Benedict for breakfast or brunch, I'm going to bang it up to a Four Stars. I went out last night with some out-of-town folks I met from Ohio and they had never been to The Pub. If you're from out-of-town visiting The Pub should always be on your list to grab a burger and a drink. We didn't eat but they had drinks and there was karaoke and Antonio performed...he gots da pipes. The staff was very friendly - as always. Expect some outdoor seating (limited) but the indoor seating is plentiful. The decor there are two bars. One where you can just sit and hang out with friends. I wasn't sure I was going to post this review because I love The Pub so much, but I decided it's worth it because of how terrible this experience was. I haven't been to The Pub in almost a year due to Covid, so when a friend invited us for drinks outside, I was excited to be back. Tyler took care of us, and I just want to say he was attentive, quick with our drinks, and all around a great server! If I were just rating him, this would be a 5-star rating! Unfortunately, there was a Pub staff member, just off his shift, standing at the table next to us. Older guy, flaunting his staff shirt like it was social currency. The tables are already too close for six feet social distancing, but he wasn't even sitting, he was standing behind his friends which put him about a foot from us. To make matters worse, he was smoking and kept turning his head over his shoulder to blow his smoke away from his friends, which meant he was blowing his smoke right in our faces! We made a comment to him but he ignored us and kept chatting with his friends. Then he put his cigarette behind his back to knock the ashes off, essentially dumping them ON our table! It was so petty and disgusting. I would be appalled if it was any regular customer, but instead it was an actual paid worker. I hope The Pub can do better at making people feel comfortable in their space during Covid. I know I won't be back until I can avoid the crowd outside, and if I ever have this guy trying to help me I will promptly go elsewhere. read more

Tim seems to be a HUGE problem. Overall, was a fine experience. But one day, after a customer who wanted to flex his muscle saying "I could have you thrown out if I wanted," and I dared to say "no, that's ridiculous" proceeded to do that. GM just took his word. I was there reading a book and listening to music. I had talked to this sociopath before (him also telling me about how the Wilton Manors mafia has people killed...I have it all recorded). We went in for dinner and drinks and unfortunately the dinner experience was very dissatisfying! I ordered a pork cutlet that arrived with a very bad taste. I tried two bites and realized this pork was bad. The side order was fries that arrived cold. My husband had a chicken sandwich that was ok but his fries too weee cold. We asked to speak to the manager and he came out after a while with a push ass attitude and made no heat felt apologies! Tonight was a rainy night and the place was lot busy at all! The HH drink prices are good, the pours depend on the bartender. The staff is good overall, some with a bit of tude. No one should complain about the lunch specials Mon-Wed for $6 but overall the food is hit or miss. Thurs and Friday 'specials' aren't too special or anywhere near as well priced as the other days. Friday's fish special looks like glorified fish sticks. Apparently the only vegetable available every day is asparagus. Occasionally they will have a very tasty special (taco bowls, shrimp and lobster quiche come to mind), but are very rare occurrences. Great, early morning breakfast for the money. Some great entertainers (minus the loud and often tacky drag shows). Animals are allowed inside (yes, even at the bar) which I find personally unhealthy and annoying, but all in all, it is a decent place to meet a friend or two for cocktails at least. read more

My chicken was a patty style that was run over by a truck that coukd not have been but 1/4th inch thick. WTH? I like this place well enough: good sandwiches, great tater-tots, good drinks. I've only been here for lunch so I can't speak of any other times. Seems like a congenial crowd, mostly older (like me) when I've been there. The big drawback for me is the bartender with the loudest, most obnoxious laugh I have ever heard. It assaults your ears across the room and he seems to laugh at everything so it's a constant annoyance, cutting through every other normal sound, like amplified nails on a chalkboard. I am new to town and came to The Pub for the first time. It was BY FAR my best experience on the strip in Wilton Manors so far. From the drinks to the food options, I was very impressed with the menu as well my meal's quality. I went for a cheeseburger and it was so delicious. What really made the experience so amazing was my server Devin. He was so attentive, making sure my drink was never empty for long and checked in with me frequently to see if I needed anything. Came for lunch for two on a slow Friday afternoon and didn't officially even get to try the food because we were never given menus, waters, or napkins after waiting for nearly 10 minutes. Choosing to sit outside appeared to be the wrong decision as, while the inside waiter was very attentive and considerate and gave us napkins, the waiter who was attending to the outside tables was dismissive, walked right past our table without greeting us, and ignored us even when it was brought to his attention by his colleague that we did not have any drink orders in. If you choose to come to the Pub (and not go to Rosie's, where we ended up going and had much better, friendlier service), I recommend opting to sit on the inside if you would actually like to be attended to. read more

Note: This review is for the Sunday brunch & show only and can be further broken down as follows: 4-star show; 3-star drinks; 2-star food, 5-star value for money. Now to the details... My wife and I happened to find ourselves driving through Wilton Manors earlier today when we came across The Pub and decided to stop in for a drink and a bite to eat. I asked for a spicy Bloody Mary and my wife requested a vodka with cranberry juice. Aside from the vodka, my Bloody Mary tasted as if it was made with just tomato juice and a lot of Tabasco. On the plus side, the bartender definitely didn't skimp on the vodka. Speaking of which, my wife's drink barely had any cranberry juice in it so our waiter brought her some more on the side. The best part of the drinks was the price: Bloody Mary's are $4 each and other cocktails apparently are all 2-4-1. My wife's cranberry & vodka was only $6.75 to begin with and she ended up with two for that one low price. We had no idea about the Sunday happy hour prices, so this was a nice surprise. (With more surprises to come.) For brunch, my wife ordered the BBQ Shrimp & Grits entree' ($18). Unfortunately, it was served lukewarm to her so our waiter took it back to the kitchen to be heated up. In the interim, I received the three side dishes from the menu that I ordered as there was not much for a Vegan to eat: Roasted Potatoes ($5), Roasted Cherry Tomatoes ($3), and Rye Toast ($1.50). My potatoes were okay, but the cherry tomatoes weren't roasted at all. The "dish" was just a handful of raw cherry tomatoes. And when my wife received her reheated entree' back, she said that it was just okay as well. She only ate about half of her entree'. We definitely would not come back for the food, however..... As we were finishing our meal around 1:45pm, the host(ess) stopped by our table and asked if we were staying for the show that began at 2:00pm. This was news to us as there was nothing on their website (I perused it while waiting for our food) about an afternoon show, only one on Sunday nights at 9pm. We said sure and ordered another round of drinks. Without going into too much detail, we had a great time during the show. The performers are all talented and the m.c./host(ess) was very personable and got the audience involved as well. It's a two-hour show consisting of various performers singing, (some lip-syncing), and dancing. We unfortunately couldn't stay for the entire show, but were there for most of it. There's no additional charge for the show although the performers do solicit for tips. And they definitely deserve them! All together, our bill came to only $44 for food, 4 drinks, and a show (not including tips). I call that quite a bargain, even with the overpriced mediocre food. Tonight on election night I wanted to go in by myself and eat dinner but the obnoxious tall baldheaded host, I think his name is Aaron; says there was no ability for him to accommodated because it's election night and if I Wanted a seat I'd have to sit at the bar. I have always like Village Pub. I can't say that I frequent it often, but when I do it's a great time. Lately I end my Sunday by stopping by for a few drinks. The first thing I have to tell you to do is valet your car. Valet is $5.00 and includes a free well drink. Why wouldn't you do this? You can either park across the street and get a ticket when you leave your car or have someone park it for you and you get a drink out of it. No brainer. The outside patio is great, I only wish it were a little deeper so there was more room for the stools, people and the people passing by who want to get into the bar. It can be tight quarters. The dance floor is a nice size. You will not see me there unless I'm pretty drunk. And if I'm pretty drunk then watch out. The bartenders are great. Very friendly and make their drinks strong. You definitely get your monies worth. It's a great bar with such a variety of people there. Older, younger, and everything in between and what I love is that even the customers are nice. Some of the friendliest people I've met have been at this bar. It's just a really great time. The pool table is a plus. The bathroom attendant is a minus. Bathroom attendants have never been my thing. I would never say fire him because people need jobs, but put him elsewhere and skip the towel passing out. I know where the paper towels are. read more

I decided to go with my group there for their St. Patrick's Day boiled dinner, well the vegetables were undercooked, 1/3 of the meal was a huge hunk of undercooked cabbage. This is a challenging time for any bar and "The Pub" has really stepped up. They had a small kitchen serving Pub style food before the Covid crisis but that was not their focus. Enter Covid and Chef Howie. To get it out of the way, the Pub has done a great job complying with complicated restrictions. Tables properly spaced, sanitized everything, employees properly masked and mask rules enforced. Chef Howie has raised the quality of the food by a substantial margin. We have found ourselves coming to the Friday fish fry on numerous occasions. $14 for fresh breaded flounder and two side items. Throw in 2-4-1 until 7pm and $5 Ketel One drinks after 7pm and it's a combination that can't be beat. There are specials every night, quality food, strong drinks and great service. For these reasons, The Pub is our "go to" for a night out in Wilton Manors. You will not be disappointed. If there is a wait for a table, and there usually is, it's totally worth the wait.
