Yogurtland in SoCal is still my first yogurt love, but I'm impressed by Pump House. We walked by on a hot July afternoon and stopped in for a cool treat. I LOVED the yogurt dividers they have handy as I like to keep my flavors/toppings separate! I haven't seen this at any other froyo spot, so +1 for The Pump House! For some reason, I couldn't find an original tart flavor when I went. But, my friend found it in the middle somewhere. Regardless, all the flavors were pretty tasty! I wish they would've checked out a little bit faster though. My yogurt was melting and I feel like it was getting heavier by the second. This place has changed hands a couple times over the years but this was actually the first time I had been in. We met up with a friend who was vegan and was hoping to get some vegan ice cream or soft serve for dessert, so we ventured in to check it out. It's your typical froyo place, it's $0.54 per ounce which is a little pricey but not so much for Grand Haven. I tried three different froyo flavors and most of them are good. They also have a variety of toppings to choose from, including fresh fruit for my vegan friend. Another friend noticed that in the back of the place you can get regular ice cream, and they're also selling that trending cookie dough now, which is safe to eat without cooking. That looks really good, we saw a few people walk away with that. If you're on a date or with your significant other they also have very cute little porch swings to sit in and you can people-watch while doing so. read more

Since I am a traditionalist, I always think of this place as "the office furniture store that serves food now." I had never been there before until I was in Grand Haven in late September looking for dessert. All of the usual ice cream places were either closed for the day or closed for the season so I de died to check out the "office furniture" place. They have hard ice cream and a frozen yogurt bar. How does a fro-yo bar work during a pandemic? Service is cafeteria style so there is no self serve and you pay by size rather than by weight. You can have as many toppings as you want as long as they fit in the dish. The guy who helped us was good about listening to instructions like "half of a spoonful" and "just a couple". I've driven by this place a few times and saw the words "Dessert parlor" on the window and filed it away for a day when I needed dessert. That day, incidentally, was yesterday. It's an ice cream, coffee and yogurt place. I was disappointed. I knew I should have checked it out online first. Well, while I was here, I figured I might as well get one of the frozen pints and take it home so I had something for dessert. Looking at the options, Frozen Hot Chocolate and Salted Caramel Pretzel both sounded pretty amazing, so I grabbed both and headed home. I grabbed one of the pints after dinner and took a few bites, which was pretty good, and put it back in the freezer. Then I went back to the freezer and grabbed the second pint. I devoured it. Nothing left to take back to the freezer.. I see a lot of potential stops here this summer when the weather is nice and I'm in the mood for ice cream. Being able to grab soft-serve ice cream, load it up with toppings and sit in a swing and watch the water is about as peaceful and relaxing as I can imagine. This is by far the best frozen yogurt I have had. So many quality flavors and an unbelievable amount of toppings. Other than the actual frozen yogurt, this place has tons of things to enjoy. this boatload is a lot to handle. too much if you ask me. first, they let hoodlums in who let ice cream drop out their mouths. secondly, the slouching stools cause customers to slouch. which is not a good look, or ideal for enjoying an alright treat. and the seats are too small for normal sized butts. hot bottoms were not that hot (i assume). there are no tables with no more than four seats available. the decor is very industrial-type esc, so if you like that good for you. bathroom doors are not very sound proof, so be careful if you had a lil too much fro-yo if you know what i mean. and the toilet is not very steady. they don't fix certain problems, which is also not ideal so there ya go. the only good thing was the free photo booth, and it wasn't that great read more

This is our favorite frozen yogurt place in Grand Haven! There is plenty of parking close by and it's easy walking distance to downtown and the waterfront. There is always a nice variety of flavors to choose from and plenty of toppings to make your frozen yogurt the perfect combination. They carry little dividers for those who want to try a few combinations within the same cup. Bonus are the swings indoors so you can sit with a waterfront view while you enjoy your treat. The staff is very friendly too- it's really self serve but they are attentive and helpful if it's your first time. read more

The first thing you see as you drive into downtown Grand Haven is this cute yogurt shop with color bench swings seen through the windows. As you walk in, there are bowls for you to serve and pick your own flavors from the yogurt machines. Right before the register, there's a topping bar with so many options from fruit, to crushed up chocolate bars, to hot fudge! Finally the price is based on the weight of the bowl. They have a great location and good options though! They even have warm cookies and brownies that allow you to build sundaes! To top it all off, they have a photo booth and a coffee shop( well its more of just a coffee bar on the side of the yogurt shop) inside! This is one of the best frozen yogurt places I've been to! And I've seen many. The decor is adorable with indoor porch swings and fun little tables. Kids will love seining while eating their yogurt. The yogurt flavors are fantastic. Fruity flavors and chocolate and wedding cake. They have tasting cups so you can be sure what you want. They have warm cookies and lava cakes for the bottom of your bowl. Waffle bowls as well! And the toppings are gourmet. My recommendation is the chocolate cake from the toppings bars along with the raspberry yogurt. The cake is like your favorite chocolate birthday cake, complete with chocolate frosting! We stumbled into The Pump House on a whim after a last minute dinner in Grand Haven and we ended up speeding through Grand Haven to make it the next night too. They had two dairy free flavors, several gluten free options, and every flavor was pretty awesome on its own. Next, the topping bar takes up not one, but two sides of the giant check out area. From the conventional toppings like sprinkles and oreos to the strange like gummy soldiers and whole Snicker bars. The staff was friendly and everything was very clean. This place gets packed though so be prepared to deal with a crowd/lines. Overall, best self serve fro yo place I've been to in a long time. Perfect location on the lake, so make sure you take yours to go and walk along the lakefront! read more
